    You don’t need to remove the pump cover, you don’t need to remove the vacuum lines only 5 fuel lines come off. And one fuel rail.
    Loosen the manifold before wrestling with the throttle body. And remember to get it back in place before tightening the 11 manifold bolts. Also take a few photos, especially by the right front injector. You’ll be thankful when redoing the wiring loom.
    Grind down a t-40 bit and use with a 1/4 wrench for those fuel rail bolts. Use a piece of rubber glove between the bit and wrench to keep it where you need it
    Make sure you have a 22mm socket for the banjo bolt on the turbo coolant line. Need a 2 5/8” piece of 3/8 oil line hose and two clamps.

    Can't thank you enough for posting this video! The detail and tips guided us perfectly through the process. Like your video it was the coolant hose that had split.

    Thank you very, very much. No problems following your excellent instructions. That made it possible for us to continue with our vacation plans when the hose started leaking three days before leaving.

    Awesome Video Danny! Thanks VERY much for taking the time to show the WK2 community how to get to the problematic Coolant hose!
    Quick question- Since a mechanic has do all this work just to get to a small coolant hose, what OTHER parts would you recommend be replaced in the process? You mentioned the turbo coolant hose but are there any other parts? For example the Glow plugs, if they have never been replaced… etc...
    Thanks again!

    Hi got a question if the fuel injection pump is starved of fuel and damaged that also damages the injectors to the point of total replacement of both. Could the metal from this failure enter the cylinders and potentially cause the engine to fail ? Thanks

    • @gdlautomotiveservices6569
      @gdlautomotiveservices6569  4 місяці тому

      normally not no. the injectors have very fine little baskets in them which prevent any solid matter getting in. once they fill up with metal swarf they block and stop letting dieselt hrough as well

    Hi Danny. I have a 2012 3.0 liter diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee with this exact problem. I have been quoted $6k to repair. Could you assist me directing me to someone to have this repaired at a reasonable price? I live in Sydney.
    Much appreciated.

    I've followed this video and it had got me through to removing the inlet manifold and replacing the valley hose, and for that I am eternally grateful. But I can not for the life of me get the new inlet manifold to fall in to place!!! Has anyone else had this problem? I've spent 2 hours just trying to get it to drop in to place and it won't, it seems the support arm for in actuator is hitting the head. If anyone has any advice at all it would be amazing. I am losing my mind.

      Lift the front up mega high. And tuck the back in first.
      Also make sure your new hose clamps on the valley hose are not sticking out and hitting actuator

      @@gdlautomotiveservices6569 I can now see it's hitting the replacement hose. I thought I'd be smart and get a thick silicone hose, seems that was a bad move. I'll grab a new hose tomorrow. Genuinely, thank you for taking the time to make this video and reply to comments, I really appreciate it!!!!!!
