Great video! As an architect I have been curious to understand how firefighters move through the emergency escape and rescue openings that we specify. This goes a long way to help inform the windows I select. Stay safe and thanks for all you do!

It's decent - Just like anything else it has advantages and disadvantages - Definitely like the 8lb version more than the 6lb piglet. However I've found a simple 8lb. flat head axe gets hung up the least, but still has a nice balance of power and weight to get the job done.

in a room full of smoke and 0 visibility.... clearing a window is going to take more than 15 sec

In zero visibility probably, but if visibility is that bad you're going to have a hard time just finding a window - At a fire multiple factors will always influence performance. In the end training "benchmarks" are intended to create a goal - I've busted out numerous windows of many different styles and construction, some in as little as 5 seconds and others took almost a minute to clear out - You can't practice for every situation, but you can work on technique to create the necessary muscle memory so you can minimize your time and maximize your proficiency - So when you are faced with zero visibility and excessive heat your moves will be quick and instinctive.
