I really don't know what else to say other than I didn't even know who i was during that dark time. I know this is odd but I needed to apologize. Sorry, I've grown up now and I hope this kid has done and continues to do great things. We need more people like him and less intolerance and ignorance like I used to be.
This kid has made one of the greatest discoveries in the history of our modern world. His effort will almost assuredly save your life or someone's life close to you. He is, at the age of 15, one of the greatest minds of our time. I am humbled.

I show this video to my 8th grade research class every year. It is a wonderful testament to the passion of truly believing in yourself and a commitment to being the best you can be. My greatest achievement as a teacher is when I can inspire young students to reach their potential: whatever that might be. Kudos to this amazing young man, I can only imagine how he will change the world in the future.

To be honest, his reaction scared me a little bit, BUT, after what he did -he's right out there putting many scientists to shame with his research. He should have received a million dollars instead! He deserves to get the funding to continue on with his research. I sincerely wish him the best to succeed in his endeavors. We need more bright people like him.

Absolutely amazing. For a minute when he was explaining his method I was totally lost in all the scientific vocabulary. Its amazing for a 15 YEAR OLD to be able to have a larger vocabulary library other than YOLO and SWAG. Faith in humanity restored!

so many people saying stupid things, this kid is simple great,, he as found a cheap, easy and fast way to detect pancreas cancer, but he can also detect others, so i wish him a great future,, cause people that has comment this news, didn't lost family because of cancer, and note, cancer is very deathly, but when is detected in the beginning people has many chances to live after medical treatment,,so i wish him the best

Two things: Kid is the man for "curing" cancer (in some small form for people that can acquire future health screenings), but the way he reacted is why we are here. I lawled.
I read his book, and it said that he had BY FAR the best in the medicine category. Loads of judges stood around his stand. He did, however, think that someone in another category would win. :)
This is really late but essentially the way ISEF works is that the only choose the Gordon E. Moore Award from the pool of people who get Best in Category, which was already announced earlier.
I love how much he freaks out, like he didn't know he would win. You can't invent a new way to detect a super-aggressive and deadly cancer and not win SOMETHING.
That's how excited I got when I got a medal for participating.
