Thanks for your videos 🫶🏼 im not an UI/UX designer nor a developer but I have a really nice app idea and I do it all by myself. Your videos help me a lot.
I love the last bit on making the name a variable! At work I always preach about using as realistic data as possible for prototype testing and this extends to the users name. Makes it way more personal.
I had the same question. Did some googling, it looks like it is Unicode. Code: 21B3 ↳ Downwards Arrow With Tip Rightwards Then, according to wikipedia: Hex input of Unicode must be enabled. In Mac OS 8.5 and later, one can choose the Unicode Hex Input keyboard layout; in OS X (10.10) Yosemite, this can be added in Keyboard → Input Sources. Holding down ⌥ Option, one types the four-digit hexadecimal Unicode code point and the equivalent character appears; one can then release the ⌥ Option key.[
I saw a file in the figma community of a *functional search input with suggestions as you typed* It was insane, almost impractical. But i can see it being hella useful for user testing scenarios.
Just a heads up... status is built into the Sections tool within Figma. You can set a number of status details there and do not need a new control to do this. It also allows you to group screens together to help keep things in order.
@mizko where exactly is the link or caption to the "Become 10x faster and smarter in Figma"? I've tripled-check in searching for the video and/or description.....
Statuses are not working as displayed in the video for me. When I toggle status "ON", I don't get additional options to change status. I have to drill down into the component to actually change it. Can you tell us how did you achieve to be like it is displayed in a video?
WTF.... i've never seen this video before, but that status bar you showed first looks EXACTLY like the one we designed ourselves. Okay, the option to hide the status and the variant names are different, but WTF :D
Hey Mizko, amazing hacks-every single one is incredibly helpful for us! Your insights always push us to step up our design game. Thanks for sharing!
🫶 So happy to hear!

Thank you for this video, it is really helpful.
Hey Mizko, great video! Can you explain how you used nested arrows? I'm curious which key you pressed to create them.
Personally I use text replacements in the keyboard options. I simply replaced "-->" by "↳" :)

To turn the Progress bar green we would set the Else statement of the Timer Loop Green instead Purple after hitting value over 200, correct?
Thanks :)

Yep! We use sections for grouping components and prototype flows but we still like our kit 😁

Mizko could you make a video Making your portfolio in figma ?
how do you type the arrow?
If you have a mac, open the emoji tool box by short cut combo with fn and e keys. Then see and select the arrows you like.
