I finally put this build together earlier this week and found that using shield maiden on an lmg is amazing! Because you have constant up time on shields as long as bullet frenzy is ramped up and you’re deleting enemies! Just waiting for an armor piece to drop with shield zap
I've been running Maxwell's for about a week and a half now. I'm working on refarming borealis to switch to that for more steady damage instead of the burst and self damaging fire.
I have been running maxwells for a week or so, I love the set. One thing I would look at changing for your build is putting perpetuum mobile on your weapon, especially losing that toxic mod, that way you have volcanic rounds up constantly and with no actual loss to your weapon.
Great video. This is the build I was using when I started the expac , but with purple gear and more focus on perma-ash. It was literally unkillable. I switched to an eruption build after about 10 apoc levels in. I am really looking forward to the scorched zealot build because I have been wondering how well it performs with such a funky set bonus
I've been using the torturer set + lmg with ashen wake+ carbon footprint pax tree. And it's the best mobbing build I've had so far. For Bosses you just switch to pax bullet frenzy and it works just fine.
I've been using this build for a little bit now, and i have been using a lucky jinx with dimensional rockets fortress and the other one that it comes with thats not toxic bullets and its crazy. My other weapon is a purple lmg, with Bone shrapnel, dark sac, and the posion thing that makes elites explode.
I built my scorched zealot setup very similar with skill tree. For pax I went top tree but all bottom nodes. Didn't take the last node cause I wanted more resistance pierce from bottom tree. I also don't run hot situation cause I wanted ash to last longer and do more damage with other class tree nodes. I use ash blast more defensively and opt out of death sentence and extra range. Just cause you're always moving with zealot. But dark sacrifice with death sentence I'd for sure take on a build that's primarily a gun build.
you could have just added tier 3 ash mod on a weapon to proc weakness and more damage from your passive tree, but what do I know, maybe you didn't spec into 25% MORE damage to enemies covered in ash... edit: that's 25% MORE damage on critical hits too!
I run a similar build and post nerf it is actually better than ap imo. i use perpetuum mobile for reloading, which allows me to swap for cauterizing flames for 50% more bonus fp when i feed the flames, and i dropped ash increase range for king slayer, and you can clear final arbiter in 20 seconds flat with suboptimal guns
I'm doing a version with a bunch of AP mods, anomaly enhancement and mage's rage. And of course I don't have a proper Maxwell set, so just using purples 😐
I’m definitely going to try this. For my Pyro, I feel like i have hit a wall I cannot cross with AP builds and without perfect mods i cannot progress in apoc tiers. This is getting to be really frustrating as its my favorite class. Hence why on Techno I am way higher level, almost double, versus all other characters. I may not mind the super slow progress as long as there was alway progress. I am actually tempted to just wait for the big patch soon in the hope it just Chana gets things drastically. And well, we can’t really do matchmaking either. :(
Have you tried the full measures' lava lich eruption build? It's pretty badass. Apoc progression definitely slows down even further after about 30... But using that build it plays an awful lot like speed run did before world Slayer, except with the added bonus of a massive eruption that just deletes bosses in one or two rotations.
@@greywo1f949 I have tried many things but this has been the biggest issue with Outriders, even since the beginning. You need the right gear or most to help get through Trials especially. Without that gear and right build, you have to lower the apoc level to get through, especially solo these days. Lowering the apoc now stalls your progress and now you have lower level gear that’s way too costly to upgrade…… basically you are stuck in an infinite loop. Sure, some builds I can progress because they are easier like Technomancer. I have tried to other characters but just getting frustrated and hating my experience and now I’m bored with the same Techno, same build, same Trials etc. PCF flat out nerfed game build diversity and progression….. and well matchmaking as well. WHat’s a real shame is aI really like Outriders. At its core, there’s some real good stuff here but from my angle, and I have game dev experience, PCF needs a major serious investment so they can triple in size, beef up their infrastructure, expand the game heavily etc….. and fast else heir dream of making this game a franchise will die quickly. Sadly, i think PCF biggest issue is the chicken or the egg question. They need a serious investment but they probably are not getting it so they hope the game game show they can deliver which they can’t fully….. so no one wants to invest. Like the game’s progression, PCF themselves are stuck in a loop. I feel bad for them. As a 6000+ hour Destiny and 3000+ The Division player, Outriders has its plus but it needs to hit that next level.
Sure, if you have to pick between those 4 then yes Weapon Damage should be a priority. AP is going to increase the burn ticks from Volcanic Rounds and CR-LR is good depending on the range you kill enemies at
I use a build very similar to this. For reload mechanic i've dropped feed the flames for Perpetuum Mobile on the LMG. Means I don't have to stop shooting for ammo which helps the keep shooting mechanic of the pax tree. I then use heatwave instead and have the 2/3 armour mods not needed for FTF on FP mods to do with heatwave!.
It doesn't drop using feed the flames. In fact you can stop firing, but as long as it's not for more than a couple of seconds you'll keep the buff. I started the expac using a similar build because that happened to be the last thing I played in New Horizons, but with purple gear and a focus on perma-ash. I switched to eruption about 10 apoc levels in because it's insane, but the most fun part of this game is trying different builds

Why not use cauterizing flames - Feed the flames skill instead of Death sentence - Ash Blast skill, since the weapon dmg is increased to all enemies instead of only to them affected by the ash blast skill?Or rather why not use both;)
I love Pyro the best and I'm gonna be honest with myself, just don't see the ultimate mage of hellfire, world burning, ash maker, shooting guns and relying on cheap bullets. PYRO commands the fire element itself, we shall remain AP.
Bullet pyro is pretty strong, and decently fun. But man they made the AP builds feel way too good to play anything else. The ability to just constantly rotate skills with out missing a button just feels too good.
The more I play the game, the more I realize just how pointless FP builds really are. All classes can just build AP and nuke entire rooms with a button press or two (Pyro in particular!). So honestly... why would you use this over something like Lava Lich which clears rooms like crazy, while also nuking Arbiters to smithreens in seconds with Eruption? The game just doesn't seem balanced at all between the two build archetypes.
Variety is the spice of life. For some people just nuking down rooms isn't their idea of fun and they want to shoot guns, so let em. If you're happy with Eruption use Eruption
The most fun part of the game is trying out different builds, especially when you have many hundreds of hours playing game and your main build gets a little boring

I'm using scorched zealot at the moment with feed the flames ash blast and Inferno rounds, the melee damage output is nasty

I use this set on fp devastator...it's pretty good I think you should try it out on there you happened to see my comment 👍.

I find a straight up Apoc epic gear FP build more viable than any pyro fp Lego build
