Quite an underrated track, I'm glad you like it as much as I do! I also like Senritsu and Jiken if speaking of similar tracks. I love the choruses such as Air and Kyrie... But also Dirge and Lights Up Light and L's Past. The soundtrack has such variety whilst being wondrous at whatever which makes it so much more memorable. I will always remember Death Note as the Anime that got me into Anime and it's still in favourites. It has made me too nosy to enjoy most Anime though...

That’s some fine ass treasure of a soundtrack right here. I used to read Death Note at 12-13y old but remember I never got to finish it or comprehend the work of art it was. When I took the time to wrap the anime 10 y after, it bamboozled me. The ending left me speechless, I was torn between deep sorrow and pure joy for Light’s legacy… truly dear to my heart. I used to listen to the deathnote soundtrack almost 10 years ago while I was studying for my AP exams in high school. These days, I am still listening as I study for my board exams. Seriously one of the best soundtracks to ever exist.
@@fruityninja4026 it does. Some scenes are different in the manga. The foot massage scene isn't in there. And I believe the snippets of L's backstory aren't either. Mello and Near are more fleshed out and not so shallow like the anime.

Quite an underrated track, I'm glad you like it as much as I do! I also like Senritsu and Jiken if speaking of similar tracks. I love the choruses such as Air and Kyrie... But also Dirge and Lights Up Light and L's Past. The soundtrack has such variety whilst being wondrous at whatever which makes it so much more memorable. I will always remember Death Note as the Anime that got me into Anime and it's still in favourites. It has made me too nosy to enjoy most Anime though...

That’s some fine ass treasure of a soundtrack right here. I used to read Death Note at 12-13y old but remember I never got to finish it or comprehend the work of art it was. When I took the time to wrap the anime 10 y after, it bamboozled me. The ending left me speechless, I was torn between deep sorrow and pure joy for Light’s legacy… truly dear to my heart.

Every single track is stunning. Its got beautiful emotional pieces, dramatic and terrifying pieces, gritty, atmospheric and whimsical pieces, so good.
the craziest thing about the soundtrack is how diverse they sound instrument/genre wise, yet they somehow work together.

I used to listen to the deathnote soundtrack almost 10 years ago while I was studying for my AP exams in high school. These days, I am still listening as I study for my board exams. Seriously one of the best soundtracks to ever exist.

@@fruityninja4026 it does. Some scenes are different in the manga. The foot massage scene isn't in there. And I believe the snippets of L's backstory aren't either.
Mello and Near are more fleshed out and not so shallow like the anime.
