If you started playing in WotLK or later... you missed a truly special time in WoW's history. The game and community were incredible at this time. Everything started going downhill during WotLK.
Graham Van Dyke I'll agree with the first part of your comment. The game and community during TBC were outstanding. But I disagree with things going downhill with WOTLK. I believe that started during Cataclysm. I lost huge interest in the game during Cata. I loved WOTLK, it was an amazing time. Ulduar? ICC? Lich King? Come on. It was brilliant.
+Graham Van Dyke It started with the pre-Wotlk patch actually by the end of TBC, when they nerfed everything and brought in more and more accessibility. We all loved it at first, but by the end of WotLK it became more and more obvious that this was a bad decision. The game was doing well because of inaccessibility. Everything had value. Now, it's all worthless. You have 100 epic mounts, all have their worthless epic gear, and bosses can be downed without any effort in LFR. What is gonna drive us through repetitive gameplay? For me, nothing.
Razor Blazor The crazy thing is that Blizz keeps doing on doing it. They need to cater to the players who want to be spoon fed and have their diapers changed for them.
I joined wow about 6 months after BC came out and I never got my character to 70 during that time so I never got to experience all the dungeons and raids in it. Doing them now at 85 makes me miss BC so much. It truly was the best expansion
I started playing in vanilla, me and my childhood friend sat in the basement with a bottle of brandy that we stole from my friends parents. We drank while waiting for midnight and TBC release, it was a magical night that i will never get back. Cherish the moments, i had some great times playing wow.
This brings back a lot of memories of my first real guild "Crazy Canucks" on Sentinels US horde in early 2008, the guild was family, but d-banded not long after Wrath launched. It is sad to watch this and it brings up a lot of memories of being new and entranced by this mystical game. I check to see if old guild mates from CC are on, but all I see is: "Last logged in 3 years ago". It makes you sick, like picard in the star trek episode The Inner Light, if anyone has seen that you'll know.
I still have my heartstone set to Shat. Always have (since BC came out) and always will. Title and Tabard is always going to be that of the Shattered Sun!
I came into Warcraft around the release of WotLK, but running around in Outland on my char and all the world PvP I encountered at the time was just awesome. I wish the place could be lively again, I rarely ever seen a fight anymore.. (Or people just fly away when I find them.)
@@silentenvoy1326 this is actually my video lol I lost control of this account a very very long time ago when UA-cam redid their login stuff and switched from usernames to emails and I can’t recover it :)
The best expansion WoW ever made! Had the best raids in game(excluding ulduar and icc) had the best looking tier, best zones and the music was the awesome!!
i quieted the game after WOTLK, the best time in wow for sure was The Burning Crusade, is incredible the nostalgia i feel watching this videos, i know for sure i will never feel the same feelings for a video game never again.
I started playing wow in LATE LATE vanilla, just before the upgrade to TBC,so I can pretty much say that I've started real WOW during this xpac.I continued to play WLK then i took a break for about a year and started Cata but I had to stop at MoP.Nothing was the same.99% of the people i met in TBC quit and i started to feel like a 90 years old guy at a 20 years old teens party.I wasn't fit anymore.Too much pew pew in these last xpacs and less brain and skills.Nothing will compare to a full Kara!!
i wish that blizzard listens to their players... cata was horrible expansion, mop was better but still i couldnt play it for more than a month, now if blizzard announce a new expansion, im not even gonna bother to check it out.... wow is dead to me now.
This is a great tribute. It deserves a lot more views.
Thank you!

TheyCallMeLevitius Yeah, I actually agree with you now thinking back on it, things REALLY started going downhill during Cata.

@WilliamPratt Thanks for the kind words. I loved BC so much, hanging out in Shatt on our newly obtained flying mounts was something special back then.
