Venus does it again, I don,t think the tennis world truly capture what is happening with the williams, both girls pushing a couple of years shy of 40, and yet still can hang with the top young players, it is truly amazing, these sisters are two of a kind, any one living now will never see this again in our life time, the william sisters ought to have tennis halo,s around their heads, most people don,t really want to give credit to the sisters for what they have done and still doing in tennis, i just get the feeling if they were white, they would be the biggest story ever in the sports world, not just tennis, enjoy them now people, and feel lucky and honored that you were alive to witness two little skinny Black girls from the poorest and roughest town {Compton Cali} to take over womens tennis and dominate it for 20 years and still counting, two girls from the same family who learned the game from a dad who learned tennis from a book, think about it, it is truly remarkable.

If Venus had a forehand like she has now vs when she was younger, she would have more majors; that uppercut swing of a forehand she used as a weapon was wild. The forehand Venus has is a true weapon.

Her ground strokes and serves are nowhere near the way they were in her early 20’s. She still have a big game and can handle pace of the big game of other players; Venus is nowhere near the top of ground strokes players nor servers in the game, check the stats. This is a game of analysts and who can execute the game plan and her experience and coaching is so much better. Watch that 2005 Lindsay Davenport match and you see how she would spray forehands all over the court. Her 2017 Wimbledon run to the finals every commentator kept talking about how different her forehand had changed and how much more dependable it had become at her age.

Konta is going to find herself in her rightful place. A strong top 30 player. She just doesn't have the mentality to be consistent with the big dogs. 2017 was a phenomenal year, I think because she had Wim Fisette in her corner, who is a great coach in general. Her coach now seems horrible which is why she'll probably continue falling.
Konta's technique is INCREDIBLY FLAWED, and when she's up against a sharp Venus Williams then all of her flaws are exposed. From her serve to her volley, Konta's strokes are very flawed and causes her to snatch and pull on just about every stroke. Konta's game is only effective when she has time to set up for her big, technically flawed strokes - when her time is taken away, then those flaws are exposed and Konta is unable to player her game. FYI - Konta needs to learn some RESPECT when she loses to a REAL Champion - those quick, no-look handshakes are getting a bit old now and she just looks like a bitter, sore loser.
