I've been thinking about scrolling through all the styles one by one and assessing which one sounds best for each song. And I've never put a limiter on an individual channel while mixing...gonna have to try that! I've always used a limiter just when mastering...
Definitely give it a shot! There can be times when limiting on tracks like vocals or bus groups can really help either control transients or give a track a more consistent sound in the mix. Fabfilter Pro L2 is definitely one of the best for flexibility in all those areas 💪 Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel! :)
which one for rap / hip-hop ?
Generally use Dynamic or Modern. Each have subcategories.
