I was right all along. Advanced Warfare was a Sequel to Ghosts but it was originally Called Phantoms. This Prototype was The Original Ghosts 2 That Should Have Been Made.
Makes so much more sense now why they did the exo suits the way they did. All the levels they had done before adding them were the ones they make you use the exo that cant double jump, cause they'd probably have to remake the entire level.
I think the scene where your arm gets cut off weirdly hits harder with Burke/Gideon since he's such an important character in the final game. I like the way they did that scene regardless. Getting sent flying by an explosion that kills your best friend only to barely survive it yourself was a hell of a way to open a CoD game.
Bro, when Burke pulls your character back only for your arm to not even come with you Most CoD protagonists would survive that without a scratch, but this?…this is a perfect reminder that you are invincible, or at least aren’t untouchable 😮
It's so cool that the M160 was present and functioning (and was the main weapon) in this build. Wish it actually made it into Advanced Warfare like it was supposed to
@@LoquendoversoIT It's closer to an M4 than an ARX160, but I see what you mean. I personally doubt it wasn't considered interesting enough, since the M160 is actually present in Advanced Warfare's files (and can be loaded in-game) and an Xbox One achievement image. That's just my opinion, though

@9000Dogs My personal guess is this was a proof of concept and maybe shown at Game Shows or possibly this build was swapped around dev companies as this build was developed by Neversoft. Without the patched xex there's a whitelist that tries to connect to Sledgehammer Games' internal testing server.
It's actually insane how much early Cod beta builds are showing up recently, literally got NX1 aka Future Warfare build which is a cancelled Cod but eventually evolved into Cod Ghosts and now we have this build called Cod Phantom which was supposed to be a sequel to Ghosts but then evolved into Cod Advanced Warfare with this mission actually just being entirely reused in that campaign. Also this build might explain why there's so much Cod Ghosts weapon in AW in the first place too XD
Considering people discovered a secret post credit scene in the OG MW3 years after the game released i wouldn't be surprised if there's a MW4 build out there still waiting to see the light of day.
It's crazy how in the prototype version, Mitchell loses his arm at the fusion plant vs. how in the original, he lost both his arm and friend at the start of the game. Which I'm also assuming the prototype mission "would" be the very first mission
Fission was the Act 1 closer(mission 4), while Mitchell lost his arm in the Prologue(mission 1). I kinda prefer the final product’s handling of that plot point.

PBR actually technically began in BO2 but it does look like an early prototyping of the more "advanced" (pun intended) implementation. Looks way better from the get-go.

Cod developers don't know this how we want our cod games. A classic look & sort but with advanced nowadays technology. Back then in cod we used to have to rank up to get skins & rewards now it's paid to win or paid to feel better. Cod advanced warfare was the last good cod in rhe classic era.
I do agree. There’s something nice about the old classic art direction they did from COD4 to Ghosts that looks nice to look at, even when it looks so grey it’s like looking at a Charlie Chaplin film.
It's less about the devs and more about the people running for the profits of those games. Chasing trends and interests rather then going on what the creative development portions of the studio thinks will work and be unique. It's why Battlefield 1 absolutely smashed it since it was surrounded by future games in a scene that had been plagued by them for the last 3 or 4 years. Plus everything needs to be either campy or super tactical now, there's nothing like this or Future Warfare where you're fighting in fucking space
i find it very weird that these cancelled games seems to have more soul and passion on its dynamics and cinematics and gameplays than what we got in the end....which felt more corporative.
Despite seemingly being built off mostly MW3 the game looks and feels more like BO2. Also a bit unrelated but this is probably the latest cod game we'll get a prelease from since AW was the last game built for PS3 era (BO3 did release on that era but it was developed with PS4 in mind...hence the terrible port) Im not a connoisseur though so if im wrong someone correct me pls.

NX1 is COD Ghosts because most (if not all) playable missions are basically the ones from Ghosts and it uses a lot of MW2 assets. I understand the naming makes sense but files, missions and assets aren't lining up. This was meant to be a sequel to Ghosts but then repurposed to Advanced Warfare. Maybe that's where the confusion is?

At the end of the day is a full auto ARX160 with a 70 rounds mag, if they scrapped it they probably didn't deem it interesting enough
