Thanks for watching!
I have been searching for this wonderful explanation for the last two years! I was working on this having spun out for the longest time. It had me striping draws, but when I stopped exaggerating I couldn't rotate through again without spinning out again. It'd be really interesting to see how Dana would work you into at least enough rotation after this extreme in order to get you to a finish whilst retaining the good movement you achieved here.🤔 I'm mid singles for reference.
Yeah, I had to watch this like 3 times to really get what DD was saying and how important it is. He has seen it all.
I’m sure 👍🏻
Hack motion must be pushing products. This is like the 200th video in the last few weeks featuring it
Agreed. And imagine spending $500 and on the first swing the thing says yep wrists in a good range
@@ajmic2 - then you return it, they have a free trial.
@@jim60631 your ball flight will tell you if your wrists are good. What did all the great pros back in the day do without all of this technology? They read divots and watched ball flight
@@ajmic2unlikely. imagine spending $500 on a new driver only to push slice it to the next fairway over. 😂
@@ajmic2 That happened top me! The impact part was green, the other positions were off by 1 or 2 degrees...I did return it and they were very good about it!
I use that ‘staying closed/back to target’ feel when my driver starts getting a little slicey during a round. I don’t hit it as far but it puts the ball down the middle. Also works great for me out of fairway bunkers. Good stuff as usual. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Been watching Dana teach Jerome from "Scratch to Scratch" ever since Jerome started going to him. Recently been looking into him teaching other students and I've learned if the student listens to Dana carefully without any preconceived notions in their brain and don't interrupt Dana as he explains what and why he wants from them, it's so easy to get it. I mean get what Dana thinks will work for them. I want Dana as my coach. Been looking for years now for the right coach. They all seem to be fixed on their way of swinging a club, whereas it seems Dana is willing to compromise for each students physical and athletic abilities. He understands we all have different body functions, mobility and athleticism.
I watch Jerome too, and it is a fun series, and now at single digits after what around 18 months.
Ok I’m in. Just ordered the Hack Motion. Thx for the discount code
@@barrygilliand call me or FaceTime me with any questions. Start with the motorcycle drill.
The G.O.A.T. (Jack of course) said a favorite swing thought was keeping his back to the target! Great video.
And it turns out that Rory McIlroys swing thought is the same one I used a few years ago. Wildly different results though - swing thoughts mean little as it depends on the rest of your fundamentals
@@steveng8727 fee vs real! Watch Jack swing. Immediate rotation around his stable head start the arms! No way is any tour pro ever moving arms down first in the downswing.
Dana is the best!
Great content and great for your swing too.
Appreciate that! He's definitely helped my game.
Really interesting. I know my ball striking got so much better when I took a lesson from my old High School teammate, Aviara teaching pro Ted Norby 24 years ago. He taught me to start my swing with the lower body. I did it sporadically before, I would do it instinctively if I remained in constant motion right until I started backswing, but usually only when I was trying to hit the ball near my max distance. A not so important point, but you wouldn’t do an EEG on your forearm muscles, it would be an EMG.
Great point. I met ted once in SD and he is really knowledge and nice!
@ Ted is a good guy, and was a very good player at CdM HS, hit the ball very long.
Wow, I’ve been waiting for you to get back to doing a video this guy.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks T see you soon
They’re back ❤
IT'S A THANKSGIVING MIRACLE
The funny thing is that only after I got it did, I get it. If that makes any sense. Always good stuff from BBG!
So, I would start the downswing by pressing down with your left knee, which cause the reaction of the club going back. in other words, don't take the club back with the arms, it should feel more like a reaction than an action. And swing should match your gate, the way you walk, as we all know how to walk since we have been doing it for a long time, and yes one can walk like Frankenstein or a zombie, but don't swing like a monster swing the way you walk. Rhythmically and efficiently.
Great video
Appreciate you watching!
really appreciate you providing a recommendation on the version/package to get. i was a little confused by the three options and was taken back by the 800 dollar price tag on the top tier; glad to know I dont need that one
@@KevinBostwick the Plus is the way to go. Also, it’s all the same hardware so you can get one version and upgrade later if you happen to want the tour data or the other features.
@@BEBETTERGOLF that is awesome, thank you!
What tour players are on hack motion pro library? Rory? TW? Adam Scott?
This is excellent data for people trying to understand “why”
Dana always with the gold
Dana the Goat !!
I don’t understand why they make something like this so expensive? I’d imagine 10% of people who would be interested buy this because of cost. How much does it cost to make hackmotion?? $20 per unit? If they were actually that confident in the results of this training aid why not sell it for $50 and then you’d get at least 80% of golfers buying it if it’s that good???
Dana is the best, though he scares me when he keeps saying...this could be dangerous.
It's not goff it's golf
I’m the first. I win. Haha
You did
So basically what Mike Bender has been teaching for many years now
it's all in the hips 😁
Isn't this hack motion an expensive version of the old swingyde traing aid ? Except its 500 dollars cheaper and it doesnt give u a read out at impact. I used that a few times talk about hitting the ball solid. The problem i had with it i would hit the ball to the right but i should have set it up differently from the instructions. You can buy knock offs of it for about 5 bucks now
The only thing new is a different way to describe the golf swing. I would like to see more of a coach working with your personal swing rather than all the people you interview that seem to focus on their swing theory almost ignoring your swing.
range was closed. I'll go back, good point
Paralysis by way too much analysis. I am so lost. Still love what you're doing though.
Thx, I'll be better
Your gonna mess up your swing more than improve this way tbh
I wish i eould have been told this 30 years ago as a kid reading all these books. DONT START DOWN WITH THE SHOULDERS BUT WITH THE ARMS Harvey Penick Ben Hogan Juiliuos Buros Jack Nicklaus 😡😡😡😡😡 start at the bottom and work ur way up ....wrong! It goes feet knees waist ARMS shoulders wrist.
We have no idea what you were talking about
Yeah this is actually good info. Not to mention Dana mentions that most people shouldn't be super bowed or super open. Everybody is obsessed with a certain look.
