Hi, love that first story about Rock Island. The first strange experience that I remember happened in 1974, when I was 6, almost 7. I lived in Somerset, SW England. My primary school had arranged a day trip to visit Longleat House, Wiltshire. My mum came along as an extra helper/chaperone to assist out teacher.
Longleat House is beautiful. Its an Elizabethan property, in large grounds. There is a safari park, so you can drive through and see all sorts of animals.
During the tour of the house, mum noticed I appeared to be watching something that she couldn't see. She asked me what I was looking at and I said, 'The pretty lady in the grey dress'. Mum couldn't see anyone, and no-one had been walking through where I was looking.
At the end of the tour, mum asked one of the tour guides about what I'd said. Evidently, some people have seen what they refer to as 'The Grey Lady'. It is thought to be a previous Lady Bath. Thankfully mum was, and still is, very accepting of strange things due to my nan 'seeing things' too. Therefore I was never made to feel 'different' or 'stupid'. That Lady I saw was as clear and real as everyone else in that room and I still remember her to this day, almost 50 years later. Hope you enjoyed.

I’m a newbie to your channel but I’m loving the stories you have to tell. I’m a 50 something female in UK and have always had experiences as does my mum and it’s very apparent that so does my daughter. It’s never been frightening to me either, I just feel quite humbled to be able to see or feel what I have.
I first saw an apparition of an older gentleman when I was 18 and on my way home from my parents. I was riding my bike with my then boyfriend when we both saw the man in the phone box further up the road. We could see him clearly as there was a light aluminating him inside the phone box. Dressed in a grey suit, he had lots of white hair and a full white beard. Being late at night we crossed over the road in case he was drunk or something and he then just disappeared in front of our eyes. At that moment I remember just feeling so overwhelmed and new instantly that we had just witnessed a ghost. Move forward 33 years and me and my family weirdly bought a house on the same very road, although the phone box has long gone but the patch of grass it stood on is still there.
That was my only sighting but over the years have felt spirits touch me and heard them walking like the one who at the time I thought was my daughter. When about 4 she used to creep into my bedroom in a morning, although I always knew she was there, and then she would jump on me to supposedly wake me up. I always let her think she had surprised me but then one morning, as usual, I heard her come in the bedroom but I thought I would turn round quick and say “boo” in a playful way but when I did, she wasn’t there….the same girl pulled on my cardigan at the back whilst I was stood in the kitchen one night. I don’t know how I knew it was a little girl, I just did. It was also around the same time was when my daughter started to have a man talking to her and touching her head in a protective manner. It doesnt seem to matter where we’ve lived either, they are always with us. My daughter and even my husband have witnessed people going past doorways in our most recent home and my daughter has heard, who she thought was me, saying her name as she passed my bedroom door. I wasn’t home at the time!
Nothing we have ever experienced has ever been negative though so we don’t get scared by any means, like I said before, I feel humbled to be able to experience these things. Let’s face it, most ghosts were only living people once and they weren’t scary then so why should they be in spirit 😃. Keep up the great work and I shall go back to binging on yr videos.
Happy New Year to everyone 🎉

I also appreciate the fact that you refrained from inserting artificial sounds (which I think, like cheap jump-scares, disrupts the atmosphere and flow of ghost stories), and instead allowed listeners to use their imagination as to what the main character is hearing.

Waking up in the middle of the night, with a sense of dread, the night after being spooked by weird noises is pretty easy to explain too. A tired brain can cause trippy things to happen to you, especially when you're isolated and alone. He probably subconsciously just thought "ah shit I fell asleep what if its out there again" and caused himself to go into shock. The guy at the end of the story could've probably sensed his uneasy vibes and took the piss a little. Still a cool story that gave me goosebumps. Love a cult connection.

First of all, I'm a believer, but a skeptic at the same time. I had a paranormal experience, at least I think? I had an encounter with a doppleganger of my mom one night, who I thought was in the chair that at the time my mom would go to sleep in sometimes. I was heading up to bed at 2 or 3 in the morning and my mom was in the chair and seemed to be sleeping, it was dark and I could really just see vaguely that it was who I assumed to be my mom(who else would it be?). I didn't say anything but tried to walk by without making noise. About an hour later, I went back to get a snack and when I walked passed the chair, I was surprised to see she wasn't there and then I checked to see if she was in the bathroom around the corner or in the kitchen, but no one was there. The next morning, I asked my mom, "were you in your chair last night?" and explained how I saw her at one point and then she was gone when I went for my snack. She was puzzled and said "no, I don't think so". Everytime I think of this experience I wonder what I saw that night. It still creeps me out alot because this house is very old and may have some crazy unknown history or something and I have more of a sixth sense than anyone I know that I'm aware of. This house feels weird at 2 or 3 in the morning and or it might just be that it's late at night? Thought it would be fun to hear this story read out loud on a yt channel. I'll never forget this experience. Was it a doppleganger or something else?

I wonder about that night constantly, Nothing I've ever experienced before holds a candle to what I felt then, it was fear that transcended the fear of death.. What could of scared me that badly?

I've always been able to see ghosts, I remember the first time I was very young, I had just recovered or rather was recovering from German measles and my great nana (she was a great aunt but we called her nana) was living abroad and we lived about 300 miles away, I was in bed and was surprised to see my elderly and frail nana sat on the bottom of my bed, I was in the top bunk, I laughed at her and told her she would get stuck and we chatted. Then the phone rang, it was an old vintage rotary and very loud and my great nana said "that's for me, I've got to go now. Be a good girl" and she disappeared, then 5 minutes later my mum came upstairs and told me and my brother my great nana had died, except I didn't understand because I had literally just been talking to her, turns out she had been dead for at least an hour at that point. Ever since then I've seen ghosts my entire life in every house we lived in, even now in my current house. They're never bad, I have only had one scary experience but it wasn't a bad ghost or anything. I grew up in foster care and in 2002, xmas eve, I was in a foster home in bed. I was asleep and then suddenly I woke up and had this overwhelming fear that if I opened my eyes there would be something scary in front of my face and I was just terrified and could not bring myself to open my eyes, I cried myself back to sleep, it was awful, I woke up xmas morning to my foster mum waking me up amd telling me that at midnight my mum and dad were doing the very last bits of xmas shopping at the 24 hour supermarket and my dad collapsed in the car park and technically died. He was revived in the ambulance and then proceeded to "die" in the ambulance and twice more during emergency surgery. 4 years later I was living in a kids home and I had the same overwhelming feeling, it scared me so much I had to open my curtains, the door to my bedroom and turned on all the lights until it passed. I was in tears that if I closed my eyes or turned the lights off the "something" would be there and then after an hour one of the staff workers that stayed overnight with us kids in the home (this is in the uk) came to me and told me that my dad had died, for good this time, during what was supposed to be routine correction surgery after 4 years of botched surgeries to fix the hernia and colostomy he ended up with from 2002 diverticulitis and bowel cancer. I have only experienced that feeling once more since I was a teen and that was 2 years ago when my hubby's grandmother nearly died from UTI complications (elder abuse and her being too lazy to clean herself properly) I hope to never experience that feeling again, I hate it. I LOVE all things horror, true crime and paranormal and I absolutely DO NOT scare easy, I was 5 when I watched the exorcist with my step grandad and thought it was a comedy but that feeling, it SCARES me and I do not say that easy.
Thankfully all my ghost experiences have been pretty chill, my best friends haunted house made me very uneasy as the ghost there isn't very nice but its not evil. My own house has 3 ghosts, a child (boy, we think) who loved playing with my niblings and their toys when they lived with me and now they've moved put we don't see the child much anymore but I'm OK with that as a childfree woman lol
Then there's the grumpy old man who lives in the very small back bedroom that's now the cats bedroom much to his chagrin 😂 he's nice enough, just bangs on the floor sometimes and makes the room cold when he feels ignored
And an old woman who HATES and I mean HATES change 😅 everytime we decorate or move furniture or anything like that she gets moody AF and throws things or moves them and they get temporarily "lost" for a few days 😂 then there's my pets, I have a real cat - Frankenstein, a 4 year old maine coon - and we have the ghost cats - my pets that passed in the house, garfield who was a 26 year old maine coon Norwegian forest cat mix and a great big orange ball who was my baby, eli the 10 year old black bombay my neighbours k1ll3d out of spite over a parking space ( I WISH I was joking) who I raised by hand from being weeks old, kaspar who was a 1 year old maine coon my sister "accidentally" k1ll3d by letting him out of the house and the reason she and my niblings moved out (she wanted him I said no because he was a foster I wanted to adopt as I fostered cats at that time and I swear she did it out of spite) and then my husbands cat from childhood who passed away in 2022 after his mother (narcissist) left lulu outside to d13 when she got a new kitten despite knowing lulu hated other cats and was old and wouldn't live in the house with a new cat (she actually admitted that she knew lulu would never go back in the house and would probably d13 outside as we had a really cold winter that year) then there's my whippet failed foster, Bella, who had a congenital heart defect we didn't know about who passed in her sleep before her 2nd birthday, my old rescue girls coco the malamute and indie the staffy who both died from cancer, Sammy the rescue American bulldog who had stomach issues his previous owners never told me about (he was an accidental rescue) and mojo my baby chihuahua who died before his 1st birthday from a heart problem we didn't know about as he was also an accidental rescue.
My house is never quiet lol if it's not my 4 year old maine coon running riot it's the ghosts and ig it's not the human ghosts it's the animal ones lol many, many times especially in the winter I will feel a cat or dog climb on my bed and lay at my feet 😊 I always know its a ghost pet too as I'm actually allergic to cats and dogs so my bedroom door is always shut to keep my living cat out of there so I can breathe while I sleep lol also yes, I am romanichal but no, I don't think that is what gives me my ability (I can also predict things in my dreams like I kniw when someone will die or get sick and I'm able to predict baby genders like my dad could which is very interesting and a story for another day - my dad and the 150 babies he correctly gendered, 4 of them without knowing they were even pregnant and 2 if them overseas) my great, great aunt who is still alive (yes we do think she's a vampire) would disagree and say its my romanichal blood but I don't buy into stereotypes

Thank you for being honest and upfront. Ive heard so much about FEMA not being in the mnts and much more. I live in NC and have lots of long term connections in many parts of the mnts. I dont trust our govt either. But my friends told me they had not only seen FEMA but had been contacted to fill out paperwork. Some got the $750 deposited pretty quick. One friend said she had Military plans flying over her house constantly. These are people who also dont trust the govt. Ill say this, none of my friends mentioned anything about politics or politicians. No one has anyone try to take their land either

yes I believe in the paranormal, I'm in the USA, and I've had experiences. In a cemetery in CT. I came back to my car and all of the windows were down; before I had left the car, I had closed all of the windows. In the same area, I was taking a photo of a headstone, with my phone, when I saw a colorful display of an amorphous shape. I lowered my phone and just looked plainly at the same area and saw nothing unusual. Then I raised my phone and saw the colorful, amorphous shape. I left right then but discovered afterwards that my camera wasn't working properly and I ended up getting a new phone.

Another occurrence, I was in a church for a memorial service. We were singing and all of a sudden I couldn't sing any words, all that would come out of my mouth was a high pitched sound. I couldn't form any words. I didn't have control over my own voice. People nearby were looking at me, thinking I was doing it on purpose. I never stepped foot into that church again. And I did have one other car window experience; I was sitting in a Burger King parking lot and the right rear window rolled down. That was all that happened. Love your channel and how it's done.

That last one remind me of a story of a spirit in a shared space between me, dad and some friends. One day me and another friend could sense the energy shift in dads photo studio and the third person, who we no longer consider a friend, sensed it too. Only difference was, she got the creeps from it and thought it had it out for her. But the spirit didn't mind me or my friend as we didn't bother it. But she couldn't leave it alone and tried different things to get rid off it which just made the energy more annoyed with her and it really felt like the energy was messing with her because she tried to mess with it and since nothing she did worked, the energy clearly got a kick out of messing with her. It did not like her at all and in hind sight, we should have listened to that spirit because she was some serious bad news.
