Hi folks, we often hear the reformation was grounded in the doctrine primarily of "Salvation by faith alone". Consider an analogy: how one's path in life is related to salvation?
My loving father wanted to save me from the hard physical life that he endured, as a labourer and tradesman.
"In my youth, I was urged to enrol in a University degree courtesy of a significant monetary gift from my parents (one I never earned)
The orientation and initiation ceremony was what one might compare with being "born again". My initial feelings of elation was "hey I have made it, I now belong here".
Unfortunately over the next 4 years maintaining that faith in my own ability and wanting to live up to my parents expectations took a lot of hard work. Faith alone would not have achieve much at all!. I was "being saved" from a hard life knowing I must not falter or lose the gift I never earned. I am extremely grateful to my lecturers for breaking open the words I needed to understand. Without inspired leaders I would never have been able to make or achieve the results I needed for success.
When I finally graduated I felt I had justified the faith my mentors had placed in me. But would mere faith alone bring the career, lifestyle and rewards that only hardwork can? Every day I faced many challenges knowing that I must remain on task for my Mentors to keep their faith in me. So to succeed I knew I had to just keep the faith, run my race and perservere to the very end . After 38 years as a senior analyst I can now retire and claim my reward like Paul. (cf. 2 Tim 4)
In conclusion, there was a number of ACCUMULATIVE factors that contributed to a successful life as a spouse, parent and senior analyst. I would never claim that they individually or ALONE would have got me to where I am now. It would be a total misuse of the word. "Sola" which implies exclusivity, independence or in solitude.
Ergo, in the context of salvation and satisfaction in life, the term "Sola...." is a total misuse of the word. What is needed is a complimentary term to reflect how all these inter-dependent factors work together.(1 Cor 3:9) . A Latin word like "simul", or in Greek, "groppo" would be infinitely more appropriate. Mazi Fide, Lectura, Endura etc. Get it!!

Very intriguing and interesting video and it’s also so very informative, and I’m wondering about what was said by Jesus to his Apostles when they left the temple after Jesus had reprimanded the Pharisees. And Jesus apostles said to him teacher behold all these beautiful buildings and stone and Jesus said to them do you see all these buildings I say to you that there shall not be stone upon stone that shall not be thrown down, and then Jesus said to his Apostles beware that you not be led astray for I tell that MANY SHALL COME TEACHING IN MY NAME SAYING THAT I AM HE THE CHRIST AND SHALL TEACH MANY IN MY NAME AND LEAD MANY ASTRAY DO NOT FOLLOW THEM? Whooo man what does that mean?
