I like how people say menno is dance style is original but really it's just flow, how is that original? His transitions and combos are but its not like he took bboying and made it this completely new original carat toons of it and that's what many people sound like when they say menno was original in Bc one. In my opinion he kept resetting but just going up normally and doing the same boring too rock and goof down just as boring but once he was on the ground it was fun to watch him but that's about it. Alcolil had both musicality in his top rock and his go downs and when he would get back up he had personality as in actually battling as in taunting and staring down menno then go down creatively too. Not to mention the originality in his power. Alcolil in my opinion also had better footwork. Menno took the flow side of bboying but alcolil had the rest hands down. I came in this competition going for hong 10 but once I saw alcolil and his style I was won over and wanted him to win. If you other wise then go ahead and lie to yourself but my teacher himself who is a bboying judge and one of the original bboys had the same opinion of me and was upset to see the judging system. So hopefully next year we get better judges and hopefully next year alcolil returns more determined than ever.

If Menno combos are original, why aren't Alkolil's? Who else does an elbow flare straight to air track, nobody that I've heard of. Isn't that just as original as Menno's shoulder roll to jumping thread? Yet, Menno with his flat handed footwork and no musicality wins against power, technicality, and style. Alkolil actually dances to the music, you see him freeze at the right times and he even added a little style at the end of his second round, doing that pose. Menno just pulls out moves. People seem to forget the thing that separates us from Capoeira and Yoga and Gymnastics is the music and the dance. It started off with a break, it should stick with a break.

Some bad judging there. Round 2 went to the other BBOY. Bad decisions like this discredit the scene.. It was like the whole cloud saga, while he was historically a good bboy, denying other hungry and technically better Bboys their victories in favour of Cloud's bubblegum step up bboyin became farcical. Menno is good, but the scene has moved on.

So the breaking system evaluates 5 points, originality, execution, difficulty, musicality, attitude(I think), she has attitude and originality or at leats she tries, she is being too slow and some of the moves have no meaning, she tries to give some storytelling which is good but she doesnt have the level for a high lvl competition. This battle wasnt bad.
I understand originality is important and menno does have a lot but please this is dance after all, a bboy shouldn't mathematically won because he did more ft and because that's what judges want to see, this is dance not sport , a real bboy can get hype the public as alkolil did even if he has not that great footwork, he rock the beat too ... sorry for my English :) Peace
