hi guys welcome back! This is an upperclassman dorm room in Independence Hall on the Laird Campus (north campus) of UD. A little disclaimer, most of the rooms are not this big, we just happened to get lucky (we actually went outside and counted the windows to make sure we got this room but shhh)

Is it necessary to buy a mattress? Also did you buy your own fridge and microwave?
You’re provided a mattress but I bought a mattress topper to make it more comfortable, and we rented the fridge and microwave from a school sponsored company!

Beautiful dorm set up. What is Dormify?
It’s an online store and they just sell a ton of dorm stuff like furniture, decorations, and bedding!
how did you know which side of the room to get? like did you get side a or b? because my roommate and I are trying to do the same thing lol and like one side is smaller than the other.
Delina Fraser we got side b! I forget where we saw this but when we went to pick our room we saw a floor plan for all of the rooms on the 5th floor and this one looked slightly bigger! We also noticed from the outside that this was one of the only rooms on the 5th floor with 2 windows so we literally went outside and counted how many rooms over this one was lol! I hope that kind of helped! 😊
Is this dorm building bigger than George read?
I would say the buildings are about the same size! Our room is definitely bigger than average tho

Unfortunately no! Most of the suite style dorms will look like my freshman year dorm which I have a video about as well! We just happened to get extremely lucky 😊
Did you meet your roommate right when you got to college or did you meet before?
My freshman year roomie and I met in a Facebook group but we didn’t actually meet until move in day!
Reagan Winter do you think that is the best way to find a roommate? And did you guys FaceTime or something when you shopped to get decorations? Sorry for the question I’m just interested!
Don’t apologize I’m happy to help! I thought facebook was pretty helpful, everyone in the Facebook group was posting about themselves and what they wanted in a roommate so I think it’s a good way to see who you want, but I also know a lot of people who got random roommates and loved them! For decorations we just texted the entire time and sent pictures back and forth of what we wanted 😊
