Strongly agree. I work in LVMH Watches and Jewelry, and I've seen some fit and finish in San Martin that gives Tag, Hublot and Zenith a real run for their money
Cool you're carrying San Martin now. It's worth a few bucks to know there is some level of customer support. I think they will do really well for you (maybe at the expense of some Islanders). Plus more traffic is driven to your store, yes I think its a net win.
I completely agree! Marc own brand and Spinakker colaborations are simply outstanding value for money, and dammit, Marc is such a wonderful human being, as are his staff
Honestly it makes sense, I don't have any San Martins but I know about the brand and its positive reputation. The same watch nerd who knows about Islanders is probably also a San Martin customer in a lot of cases. You might as well get the business both ways.
Holy smokes! Why is Marc selling San Martin now you say? Because he’s a savvy businessman and an enthusiasts. This seems like a win / win. This allows people who are gun shy about buying from China, an outlet to purchase their watches and gives SM a better sense of legitimacy (they’ve had it from me for a while now FYI; don’t need an army of SM Fanboys coming after me). Wow. Congrats to both LIW and SM on the partnership!
New customer/subscriber here. Ordered first ever non-essential watch on Sunday, you guys shipped on Monday. Color me impressed. I have Seiko Arnie set for a reminder when it comes in. Looking forward to more informative vids, thanks.
Mark just the easiest, most honest small business for the hobby there is. Truly never had a bad experience and have bought 3-4 pieces and a few accessories without issue!
Really glad you’re selling this brand now. I hope it does well for you. There’s no denying SM offers great quality and value. I’ve got three of their watches and they’re pretty incredible. Don’t worry- I’ll still buy Islanders too.
Glad you are carrying these. I love that the price points of watches are coming down and letting anyone get into the hobby with a well built piece. I saw you had a San Martin salmon textured dial watch on the site that was beautiful. I'd love to see a review of that one!
Congratulations, they must’ve been impressed with your first video of their watch. I know I was, bought the orange one after seeing your initial review. Great watch
Great review thanks. I have four (4) of the homages and love them all. Did have some issues with shipping on one of them via Ali but after a few weeks it was addressed and rectified. Wish those beads of rice were available for some of your Islanders ... like the Calabro GMT.
Nice Marc, the lowest bidder is not always the best hah. But congrats, your customer centric business is greatly appreciated . Maybe next a model named after famous Islanders( Bossy, Goring) ? Hockey fan here lol
Glad you are carrying these. I had some bad experiences, years ago, buying from AliExpress, and would never buy from them again. But I have heard good things about SM. I will take a look at your offerings.
I have been wearing a San Martin SN020 39mm Explorer homage for about 3 years now and love the damn thing, great watch, and I own Islanders as well, great watches :) glad to seeyou selling SM and forging ahead with your own brand. Looking forward to what 2025 brings!
Marc, I LOVE you brother, many outstanding purchases from your store. Your own brand, Spinnaker collaboration pieces and othera, including a special you are currently doing with those GORGEOUS Seagull 1963 re-issues that I'm anxiously watching my mailbox for. These San Matins look FANTASTIC, but I actually prefer many of your own brand at this price point, I think your fit n finish is superior. Far be it from me to tell you how to do your thang, dance your dance, run your business ... but DUDE! Your watches are superior art least visually, and I own some of your final products. Don't worry, I'm gonna STILL look to Long Island for future purchases .... and I have the illness BAD. I try to refer my watch guy friend to your shop. You are freaking AWESOME!
I was wondering why you had a San Martin tab on your store lately! Honestly this is great, really takes away the nervousness you normally get when ordering from AliExpress..
I respect that you acknowledge how well made San Martin’s are made. I’m curious to know what tvg thinks about them. And I’m subscribed to both your channels. And I’ve bought a squale from you for my nephew and a bezel for my orient triton. Though it was loose. But that’s not on you but orient. Bravo!
I love my San Martin's. You have to see and feel the level of quality that these watches are built to. Dollar for dollar, I do not think anyone else can touch the value proposition. Marc I am glad you are bringing these in. I will definitely order my next one from you.
Nice to see. Just a comment regarding the San Martin SN0123-G - is not a homage of a Marathon, but a homage of the 1970's US military issue only Benrus Type 1. San Martin now has a Version 2 currently only available through Watch Dives that has more correct to the original Benrus larger fence post hands. In my opinion it is the best homage of the Type 1 including other homages costing up to $1,500. Thanks for including one.
this is awesome. you definitely hit the nail on the head about being gunshy with regards to ordering the watches online from overseas. Definitely a more appetizing proposition knowing it's from a trusted shop.
Great content and love the fact that you’re not afraid to carry your competitor. It’s what being a small business owner is all about. Promote each other and spread the wealth!!
Long Island Watch and San Martin working together to give San Martin a real presence in the US is super cool. To me, see you carrying this brand adds a lot of legitimacy to their image. And yea, you may pay a little more for a SM from LIW but if you have an issue with it, you only have to send the watch back to New York and not all the way back to China. Plus the extra money you spend pays for the peace of mind and convenience you get when you buy from a US based retailer.
Those look really nice and also well made (from here anyway). I also like that I can get a Seiko, Squale or other brand at Long Island, as well as an Islander.
Mark,I'm wearing a San Martin no date Submariner homage that has 7 technological improvements over my 1980 Rolex Submariner that I recently sold.Smart move !!!
Hey Marc, would you consider doing a tutorial video for intermediate watch collectors like myself (those who are not beginners to the hobby / sickness but not experts either)? Perhaps covering things like identifying male vs. female end links. Identifying solid vs. hollow end links. A good bracelet vs. a bad one. Good finishing vs. poor finishing. Etc, Etc. How important is good bezel action? I have several watches with a rotating bezel, and I think I rotated it a couple of times when I first got the watch, and that was the last time. Perhaps even a lesson on how to regulate a watch. I saw another UA-camr give some gift ideas for "the watch lover." And one of them was a time grapher. Yeah, that's a great idea, but if my watch is plus or minus 15 seconds, what the heck do I do about it?
Lovely selection of watches. Was looking at San Martin and Pagani this week and I went for the Pagani PT1784 as I love the original Zulu Time. I only chose this one as I will be changing out the strap and would have gone for a San Martin GMT if I was keeping it on the bracelet as Pagani bracelets are not very good. I do plan on getting a few more watches early in the new year and will have to check out your shop for inspiration.
Quick question. Will/do you have extra bracelet links available? I understand these won’t quite make a large wrist (+- 8”) out of the box. I’d hate not being able to enjoy what looks to be a nice bracelet.
Just got the San Martin flagship model based on traditional Chinese pottery from the official Saint Martin store on Ali-express, but the applied logo came misaligned, and it is indeed a giant hassle trying to get them to do a return…. Wish I’d have bought from Long Island watch, where the customer service and promises of returns actually mean something.
I have a San Martin with the aventurine dial. Really beautiful design. I also have two Northports. I have the purple and I have the black with the grey almost OD looking bezel on a NATO.
If I was in the States & I intended to buy an SM model, I would order it from LIW, because you will almost certainly receive a watch that is 100% working order etc. This is not always the case when ordering direct from China. I will say in my experience there was no problem with receiving a full refund but it’s something you don’t need to deal with.
Yea, my issue has always been a very negative feeling around putting my credit card info into a non US based service. Always makes me a bit nervous. This is a great option and for me personally worth a bit more price.
Marc with yet another reason for me to whip out my wallet. I’m already loving my Islander watches and model specific bracelets so I’m feeling confident about Marc bringing San Martin under his umbrella.
The Marathon homage watch is a real looker and also a bit of a Milsub homage with its broad sword hands. Actually, I am holding out for a Squale 20 Atmos Militare ceramic no date, with broad sword hands. I hope that Squale will make one!
You can see that you have an eye on customer service and being a watch lover yourself you see the value where some bottom line focused folks don't. It's one of the things that makes you great rather than good dude.
I just literally finished ordering my SN 007, 62 MAS. Looking forward to getting it. This is not my first San Martin. If Marc brings it into his store, it must be good. He wouldn’t put his name to something that would not hold up.
I’ve always been impressed by the quality of San Martin watches for the price and the fact that they’re Chinese. I think my favorite Chinese brand, despite the homages. But they do have their own original designs now too, so fair enough I suppose 🤷♂️
It’s true. I feel more comfortable buying from you, a trusted seller, then just some random site that I can save a few bucks on a watch. The seagull 1963 for example. It’s cheaper out there but ya don’t know what ur gonna get. From you I feel confident I’m getting the best example possible of that watch. Worth the extra money to buy from you.
Well done Mark, good move😀, not long ago wouldnt have touched San Martin but i do think theyve picked up their game design-wise & maybe quality- but potentially no support has put me off. But if youre carrying them...hmmmm 🤔.................ps not really convinced the GMT Desert one😮 is very original- it has GS GMT sbgn series written all over it designwise to me 😉 & given GS is my favourite brands not suprising i think its pick of the bunch here too!
Marc, with Trumps tariffs coming next year, do you expect San Martins and other watches from overseas to skyrocket in price? Is this the time to buy (before January 20th)?
This will actually go a long way in legitimizing San Martin as a legit microbrand and not just an ali clomage factory. Have them make more with the st2130!
An official San Martin store with Long Island watch customer service! Yes please.
You r welcome!
So stoked that you appreciate the quality, so much so that you are willing to carry their pieces! Great quality stuff!
Exactly! My 2 favorite microbrands have converged. Happy Holidays, all. Take my money, Marc! 😏
I have a few SM watches and I'm very impressed with their watches. Incredible build and superb finishing. I hope this is a big winner for you.
I think so. Thank you.
I completely agree! Marc own brand and Spinakker colaborations are simply outstanding value for money, and dammit, Marc is such a wonderful human being, as are his staff
This is frickin awesome, what a killer move by you Mark. This is nothing but good news for both brands. As always you're the best!!!!!
Thanks!
Honestly it makes sense, I don't have any San Martins but I know about the brand and its positive reputation. The same watch nerd who knows about Islanders is probably also a San Martin customer in a lot of cases. You might as well get the business both ways.
I agree, I do believe there is alot of cross-polination
Hats off to you Marc, you deserve to represent San Martin more than anyone else! Fingers crossed to see Jianghun on your store too
Thanks!
Thanks!!!! 👍🏻
I'm a fan of the San Martin brand. It's cool that you have so many options. You're a one stop shop for watches!
Ordered 3 San Martins and waited for the Chinese.... the entire time thinking of you. We appreciate and value you! Collab, Volume, OurMark.
New customer/subscriber here.
Ordered first ever non-essential watch on Sunday, you guys shipped on Monday. Color me impressed.
I have Seiko Arnie set for a reminder when it comes in.
Looking forward to more informative vids, thanks.
I'm a long time Islander customer... for me, if you are buying from them, you are in safe hands
Mark just the easiest, most honest small business for the hobby there is. Truly never had a bad experience and have bought 3-4 pieces and a few accessories without issue!
Thank you for the trust.
I have a San Martin SN004. One of the early versions that looks like a submariner. I love it and it is in the rotation with my Seikos and Hamiltons.
Really glad you’re selling this brand now. I hope it does well for you. There’s no denying SM offers great quality and value. I’ve got three of their watches and they’re pretty incredible. Don’t worry- I’ll still buy Islanders too.
Thanks for the vote of confidence
Appreciate the insights as always! Really hoping to see you carry their 37mm BB54 and 39mm titanium Pelagos homages!
I can't find their Pelagos homage anymore. I ended up getting the Thorn one. It came 2 days ago and I absolutely love it! Such a nice piece for $140
Glad you are carrying these. I love that the price points of watches are coming down and letting anyone get into the hobby with a well built piece. I saw you had a San Martin salmon textured dial watch on the site that was beautiful. I'd love to see a review of that one!
Thanks, I will keep that in mind.
Pretty awesome that you're carrying San Martin now. I hope you guys would have the SN0144 JianZhan in the future!
Big fan of San Martin and now they're going to be in your store. That's awesome.
Now you need San Martin to carry Islanders. 🤔😂 Thanks Marc. Have a great weekend! 🙏🏼
Lol! Enjoy!
Take a time machine back about 5-7 years and compare affordable watch options to now. It is incredible the renaissance!
Congratulations Marc! What a great move (By the way, love that Calabro colour)
It's a win win. Long Island customer service, San Martin designs, great prices. Thanks Marc
You got it!
These watches honestly look really well made I've heard a lot of people praising this brand
Congratulations, they must’ve been impressed with your first video of their watch. I know I was, bought the orange one after seeing your initial review. Great watch
I need to better acquaint myself with SM watches. This will be a good opportunity since I love your brand Mark. Congrats!
Great review thanks. I have four (4) of the homages and love them all. Did have some issues with shipping on one of them via Ali but after a few weeks it was addressed and rectified. Wish those beads of rice were available for some of your Islanders ... like the Calabro GMT.
You will do well with these. Congratulations!
Fingers crossed!
You are right about San Martin. The only reason I dont have one is because I don't want to buy from aliexpress and I haven't found any US dealers
That makes sense
Same
I bought a San Martin pilot watch four years ago, it’s an homage to the RAF Mk 11 and it’s awesome. So I’m very happy to hear this news.
Congratulations on this coup. So well deserved for someone with such integrity in the business
I have been wearing a San Martin SN020 39mm Explorer homage for about 3 years now and love the damn thing, great watch, and I own Islanders as well, great watches :) glad to seeyou selling SM and forging ahead with your own brand. Looking forward to what 2025 brings!
Those are pretty cool, and I have always thought about picking one up.
Marc, I LOVE you brother, many outstanding purchases from your store. Your own brand, Spinnaker collaboration pieces and othera, including a special you are currently doing with those GORGEOUS Seagull 1963 re-issues that I'm anxiously watching my mailbox for. I was wondering why you had a San Martin tab on your store lately! Honestly this is great, really takes away the nervousness you normally get when ordering from AliExpress..
Glad to see some high-quality Chinese offerings getting the respect they deserve, quality should always be commended!
Dude! Finally!!!! Congrats!!!

Nice to see. Just a comment regarding the San Martin SN0123-G - is not a homage of a Marathon, but a homage of the 1970's US military issue only Benrus Type 1.

This is a good step. Good luck bringing these watches to the US market
They really make some great watches! I missed out on the sn0111t, may end up buying the sword hand sn0111.
That Marathon one is sweet. They're all nice looking watches.
this is awesome. you definitely hit the nail on the head about being gunshy with regards to ordering the watches online from overseas. Definitely a more appetizing proposition knowing it's from a trusted shop.
Love San Martin. Super high quality for the price.
Great content and love the fact that you’re not afraid to carry your competitor. It’s what being a small business owner is all about. Promote each other and spread the wealth!!
I like that San Martin changed from the spelled out san martin logo script to the smaller one. Other microbrands seem to be following suit
Long Island Watch and San Martin working together to give San Martin a real presence in the US is super cool. To me, see you carrying this brand adds a lot of legitimacy to their image. Will be eyeing your store until you have the GR5 titanium diver! Smart move these pieces, with your service. Unmatched.
That’s awesome, will definitely buy SM from you
Those look really nice and also well made (from here anyway). I also like that I can get a Seiko, Squale or other brand at Long Island, as well as an Islander.
Glad you're liking the selection!
Mark,I'm wearing a San Martin no date Submariner homage that has 7 technological improvements over my 1980 Rolex Submariner that I recently sold.Smart move !!!
You definitely ought to try to get the SN0144. With the miyota 9015 movement, thinner case, unbelievable bracelet, one of their finest to date.
Noted.
Hey Marc, would you consider doing a tutorial video for intermediate watch collectors like myself (those who are not beginners to the hobby / sickness but not experts either)? Great brand, happy to see them on your site. I just wish some models came in a 41 or even 42mm for ogres like me to enjoy as well.
Right? I get it. But at least they aren't all 42mm plus
Because you are an honest businessman. :)
Likely will pick up a SM from you at some point.
Quick question. Will/do you have extra bracelet links available? I understand these won’t quite make a large wrist (+- 8”) out of the box. I’d hate not being able to enjoy what looks to be a nice bracelet.
I do like the San Martins that I've seen. I don't own one yet. Ask Tristano what he thinks of the no date nh35 sub version!
Im in the U.K . and the proud owner of a light blue Manhasset .
Lovely watch .
Thanks so much!
Also UK guy. I had the Black Manhasset. I believe you could have an Islander Manhasset as a 1 watch collection...
I’m sorry to hear that. I definitely try to provide a better customer experience.
Islander and San Martin are similar to me. Very high quality and feature set for the price
I have a San Martin with the aventurine dial. Really beautiful design. I also have two Northports. I have the purple and I have the black with the grey almost OD looking bezel on a NATO.
thanks!!!

have a few San Martins, including the new 0144, and it's amazing
Great choice!
Yeah, nice offering.
Would love to see a collab exclusive design...and possibly an interview with their founder/designer!
I have the Desert Dial GMT…this watch is criminally underrated. It’s actually stunningly gorgeous.
Dial is sweet!
As a fan of both brands, great move!
thanks!
That desert sand dial is a GS style.
The Marathon homage watch is a real looker and also a bit of a Milsub homage with its broad sword hands. Actually, I am holding out for a Squale 20 Atmos Militare ceramic no date, with broad sword hands. I hope that Squale will make one!
That's awesome, maybe we'll get an Island exclusive or collab
Did the original Republic has a Swiss movement? If yes, why the switch?
You can see that you have an eye on customer service and being a watch lover yourself you see the value where some bottom line focused folks don't. It's one of the things that makes you great rather than good dude.
Until I started getting into watches, I thought my 8½" wrist was small. I was wrong. Cool new watches for your store.
Lol. Yeah, not small at all!
These are some good looking watches. Are you going to introduce a clasp in this similar design for islander?
yes, we already have started, you just haven't seen the watch yet
@ oh man I am excited to see that when it comes out! Keep up the great work mark.
Dang some of these sold out 3 hours later. Was trying to snag up the marathon looking one
I just literally finished ordering my SN 007, 62 MAS. Looking forward to getting it. This is not my first San Martin. If Marc brings it into his store, it must be good. He wouldn’t put his name to something that would not hold up.
yes, thank you!
I’ve always been impressed by the quality of San Martin watches for the price and the fact that they’re Chinese. I think my favorite Chinese brand, despite the homages. But they do have their own original designs now too, so fair enough I suppose 🤷♂️

It’s cheaper out there but ya don’t know what ur gonna get. From you I feel confident I’m getting the best example possible of that watch. Worth the extra money to buy from you.
That's why I do what I do. Thank you
Well done Mark, good move😀, not long ago wouldnt have touched San Martin but i do think theyve picked up their game design-wise & maybe quality- but potentially no support has put me off. Regarding the second watch shown, not sure of the value of a GMT with a non-rotating bezel?
Rolex Explorer ll has a fixed bezel too, just to name one. It’s perfectly capable of tracking a second time zone.
Hi mate. Hope business is good? Merry xmas to you and your staff and family. Hope we can connect again soon.
San Martin watches have amazing quality and finishing for the price.
Totally
Isn’t the desert sand dial a Grand Seiko Evo 9 homage?
I saw you where carrying this brand so I reach out looking for the pink dial, unfortunately I had to go their web-site for it.
No worries, I get it. Can't carry it all.
I was hoping this would happen after that video. Will you bring in the sn0138?
I'll continue to expand.
Well done! Very very smart move
thank you
I would love if you do the version of the 39mm GMT (not the vintage the white one but with your own touch).
Hmmm. 👍
@ PR something as the longiness gmt zulú 39mme
@@islandwatch or maybe just do the GMT dive watch smaller
Any plans to carry the SN0144? I’ve wanted to pick one up in the red dial, but I’d much rather purchase through your storefront.
I will certainly grow the collection
Isn't Marathon's navigator watch an homage to Benrus' navy seal design? Or is it the other way around?
Yeah, I'd say you have it. The Navigator came out in the 80's from what I remember
Marc, with Trumps tariffs coming next year, do you expect San Martins and other watches from overseas to skyrocket in price? Is this the time to buy (before January 20th)?
Very cool news!
Thanks!
Long Island watch becoming a real one stop watch shop. Just need better strap options 🫡
Mark , in terms of value proposition, how does San Martin compare with Orient?
better, IMO
Orient is not even close to SM in terms of quality for the price
Thanks Mark. @@islandwatch
Interesting. I always heard the Orient were the kings of value proposition. I'll hebe to have a closer look at San Martin then.
Smart move in my humble opinion!
Do you have a store to see the watches mark?
He doesn't. Sells only online.
Interesting question though isn't it...?
They also have great lum
This will actually go a long way in legitimizing San Martin as a legit microbrand and not just an ali clomage factory. Have them make more with the st2130!
Hope you got an exclusive contract.
competition is healthy
