He was due to retire within eight months when he was fatally shot in the back. He had his hands up, surrendering when he was murdered.
Despite extensive investigations at the time and over the past decade, no one has been charged over Allibon’s murder.

I was working for an company who provided EAP Services to Chubb. I came across this horror just after it happened. Our team of psychologists was sent very quickly working with the Police family liaison team. When this happens to you, or you see it for yourself it is pure evil. Nothing else matters, this was my takeaway. RIP. Gary 🙏At this time there were several robberies in the CBD, all using stolen Aldi’s or BMW’s. Most early morning targeting high end shops, Diamonds , Jewellery, LV, etc. With some they would just crash into the shopfront, gone in a matter of minutes.

Centuries ago there was more crime. During a simple journey to the next town people were ambushed and robbed.
My Edwardian house has had bars in downstairs windows as the chance of someone breaking in was high. I've found newspaper cuttings from that time about our residential, beautiful area.
We know more about crime as the news spreads really quickly. But yes, crimes high everywhere really.

I feel for his wife in how her life was changed by a guy who didn't care for anyone except himself. And showing off to his colleagues from the same biker gang, or to set him up further within the gang.
Maybe it was an accidental shooting, I've shot firearms all my life since 5 years old and I can tell you weapons can be discharged accidentally very easily. I've witnessed highly trained and capable people have negligent discharges. Especially for the untrained going up against people who are also armed

I'd say that "accident" can not be claimed when chosing to go in that situation in the first place. So the day a person decide to get into such a situation as to get into a adrenaline fueling activity to use a loaded gun and even threat a person (who has not provoked the shooter in any way) I'd saythat person will have to carry full culpability to any "accident". As the slogan of NRA goes: guns don't kill people, people do.

I’ve always wondered why these money transfer security guards have old school revolver guns from western movies in the 60’s. Get them some god dang glocks
wheel guns don't jam; AND you have them as defense; you don't plan on unloading a full clip, and often you'd be in a high pedestrian area, so you would not want to make things WORSE than they already are dealing with a robbery.

I rode my motor bike past the Viking Tavern to work, 24 hours before the shootings......Two of my work mates were in the tavern as the guns went off....They jumped behind the bar and one of them saw the young girl standing in the car park and noticed a biker aim at her on purpose ........He blew her head off and the body teetered, before falling over.

@@marksuckaturd5098 Erwin was shot execution style in an armed robbery at Blackburn North in Victoria while doing a bank delivery. He was also a CHUBB guard. He was murdered on March 8, 2005.

Where was the Chubb security scout when all this was taking place ? The bandits would have had their own scout there to because they were looking for that van. Dosn't this tell you that this was an inside job.
