- This short movie is called 'Six Hours In New York'.
The music is an amazing track called 'New York' by Snow Patrol, taken from there latest album, Fallen Empires. Available in stores & to download now.
On November 24th, 2011 I set out for Manhattan from my friends apartment in Queens.
With only six hours to spare & my Canon 7D (loaded with a 50mm 1:1.4 lens) I captured what i could of one of the greatest places on the planet, New York.

Hey,
If it's just for shooting great HD footage you're looking for, the sensor is the same size in the 60D as in the 7D but the 7D is built a lot better, feels like a much stronger camera in your hands.
My advice? go ahead with the 60D & spend the extra cash you save on a great lens..
This whole New York video was shot on a 50mm 1.4 canon lens btw.
Love NYC have always wanted to live there,but know never will. Good video, THANKS. it is so very clear&sharp, must be great camera. No matter what I do can never get that perfect. Is it alright to photograph people without there permission & show it like this? Thought wasn't.Always afraid of doing something wrong that way. Is OK because they are public areas? Great video, you've really captured the flavor of The Town -- have a friend who lives in Manhattan on 43rd St just off Times Square, think you filmed front door to his building! Anyway, I'm getting a bad case of the I-gots-to-go-visits, haven't been up for a couple of years but this brings back a lot of good memories. Thanks!
It is really captivating and I honestly love it, but as a native New Yorker, I think it would have been even better if you spent time either uptown or downtown Manhattan, or even in the other boroughs. New York City is a beautiful place, but Times Square isn't everything that there is.
Great video, Killian. Been to NYC twice now, both times to see Paul. A lot looked familiar. Never found the Naked Cowboy : ) wanted a picture with him. Love Snow Patrol, great song to go along with your great video. Thanks : )

LOL, Funny enough you say that I got my 7D two days ago, I'm in the process of writing a short film and going about town and shooting just shooting photos apon photos :) LOVE the camera
