Just recently found you on UA-cam and subscribed. I have been enjoying your easy to follow casting tutorials as I’m very new to underhand (Scandinavian) casting.
I have an Echo 8 weight 13 ft Full Spey rod. The reel is loaded with a Rage Compact 600 floating line which is about 34 ft long. I have a coated running line behind that. I’ve been looping a 15 ft leader directly to the Rage floating line. Sorry this is quite long. I’m having trouble turning my fly over.
Do you think the Rage Comp 600 could be too heavy? Maybe a polyleader as you’ve suggested. What would you recommend for line weight and brand. Also could you recommend what to use for wet shooting heads.
Continue the good work Ronny really enjoy your explanation of the physics of our sport.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, it makes me feel very greatful.
I don't know your rod or the line you describe... Generally your choice of rod and line setup should match the water, presentation and distance you have to apply. So it is difficult for me to just recomend one...
For small rivers I like the short cut shooting heads from salmologic and for medium waters their logic heads. Their sinking lines are really great.
If you are aiming for distance I would go for the LTS scss shooting heads... I Hope that can be of use. Tight lines Ronny
