Am 18 years old. I wasn't that booksmart so i decided to use my baking skills to bake cakes , i own a barber shop , i opened my own carwash. And i have my own schedule to do business.
You were my good advisor till you touch on Actuarial science. I am an an Actuarial science graduate and I am now doing good job. If it doesn't work for your friends doesnt mean it will not work for everyone. Don't mislead others who want to pursue the course. It only depends on how one can you look for opportunities out here. Just do your financial advice and stick to it
The course is actaully very useless. You are among the lucky few 1% that got a breakthrough in the proffession, be sincere and truthful, not everybody will be lucky to share the same fate as you.
This is true, but what is the point of pursuing a course, Knowing it will be hard for you to get employed, unless you are planning to start your own company using the specific skills gained from the course, it makes perfect sense. But I mean, its better you get a course knowing the odds of getting a job are high, if you don't, creativity comes in. Anyway, any course you pursue creativity is not a discussion
Good Joseph about this topic my take is you can go to school to study any course and not get a job. One has to think out of the box and ask what can I do if I don't get a job? Be creative as we have so many educated Kenyans and no jobs resulting to people getting into depression. It's tough out here, either you know someone or think out of the box
This topic is sad, thrilling and sensitive..this Kenya, you have to stand up tall for yourself otherwise papers no longer speak for anyone.. though it all depends on a number of factors..
I like your content. But this one, i disagree. There's more to learn in mass communication that requires you to get that degree. It's not just about youtube and tiktok, there's so much much more to learn.
On Bcom,I totally disagree with you.Every organisation has its business aspect and needs people with knowledge in business to run it.What one requires is that extra skill that corresponds with global technological advancements.
msee hope this finds you well there is no useless course not unless u invented any but in all courses ill tell u God knows the reason why an individual pursues it so stop misleading others with ur heartbreaking words. Personally ive not listened the video coz its full of negativity.
@denniscollins565, I'll rephrase, the by far most important job today and tomorrow is AI engineer aka Data scientist which is 70% overlap with actuarial science
This guy doesn't even know what community development is all about, that's why he doesn't have any words to explain it , there is so much more to community development as a course, it covers a divers skill set from health, sustainability, communication, project management, environment that includes environment from energy resources, IWSM among others there is so moch u can do work in the NGOs and governmental institutions this is but a few places so guys this guy aint saying nothing cause he doesnt know what it is and thats why he had one stupid comment about it
the first people i saw making millions were doing community development. got funding to take care of mangrove forest along the coast, crowdfunding, resource mobilation, these people with non profit organizations and cbo are making good money.
Idk about hospitality but I wouldn't encourage you to do Electrical engineering. Unless you plan to be self-employed. Civil/Mechanical are better choices.
This guy talking about actuarial science is crazy since many people who have pursued this course and still unemployed it's because of their credentials are not up to standards. In order to be employed under this course one must undergo series of examination (these papers are very expensive making unaffordable to many) and have some experience then one will be good to go.The degree alone is not that sufficient one must need to go an extra mile. Otherwise this is the best course ever(best advice I could give). This guy is all about content 👎
Law is very good but you have to have charisma and massive aggression. The competition in that field is colossus. Only a few lawyers manage to breathrough. It is one of the professions where less than 10% of the practitioners control more than 90% if the sector.Uneven playing field.

THERE IS NO COURSE THAT GUARANTEES ONE OF A JOB, IT IS YOU TO BE CREATIVE AND OPEN TO EVERY OPPORTUNITY.
That's my point
Na connection
I like your brutal truth. You've made me start making useful decisions.

It can't be more true than that. That's on point
It’s not about a marketable course but marketable skills
This topic is sad, thrilling and sensitive..this Kenya, you have to stand up tall for yourself otherwise papers no longer speak for anyone.. though it all depends on a number of factors..
Absolutely true. It's all different from what we thought
I like your content. But this one, i disagree. There's more to learn in mass communication that requires you to get that degree. It's not just about youtube and tiktok, there's so much much more to learn.
Okay
There is graphic designs and muc much more
Actually you got the point from a reverse angle;there is more to learn but less to earn.😂😂
Now do a thread of best courses
On Bcom,I totally disagree with you.Every organisation has its business aspect and needs people with knowledge in business to run it.What one requires is that extra skill that corresponds with global technological advancements.
