I have them and I absolutely HATE them. lol Let me rephrase that, I hate the transformation. I'm actually debating on selling the entire set. lol I've never been a fan of Legend scale figures since I have big hands and break these little things. lol

Holly sht thnx now I know why onslaughts back is loose. Though u miss interpret how the arms is articulated ..wrong angle it can go 90deg...also for swindle it will not pop off if u tab it right there is a small hole in the hips.
I have this set but I haven't bothered to build bruticus yet. The individual bots look great though.
From the torso. Idw and cartoon version are they the same. Cus I want to built mine Bruticus as idw but want hus leg to be grey instead of greenish blue color?
Does magic square release sets? Piece mealing all these different combiners together over years is work lol we need more full sets released together.
Hey! You used the wrong elbow joint in the combined mode. Vortex and Blastoff have a Teapot joint in their hips, which if used in Bruticus mode gives you just over 90 degrees of bend!
You can also rotate Swindle's hood portion 180 degrees before attaching him to the thighs. This will give him a more toon accurate look, but it is entirely your preference. There are also 3 different ways you can orient Vortex's tail fin in combined mode to give different looks or to add some range of motion without having him bump his shoulder into his head. I would also recommend folding his thin flaps in that are located on the outside of his thighs. There is a peg that should connect to the rest of the forearm on each side and it'll help it look a little more uniform.
Lastly, if you like the FOC Bruticus design, you can utilize his thrusters in combined mode as a quad cannon!

If not you could also try "puzzle tail"...., but that might have mixed results.
You made the combination look so easy. It took me at least twice as long and I dropped way more gamer words than you.
I love this set and am tempted to buy another to keep in bot mode. I'll see, but for now I'm using this set as my Bruticus and the mmc combaticons in their bot modes for my MP display. Maybe MS will do an Autobot combiner some day.

I wonder, just in general, how much better or worse Magic Square stuff would be with better materials.
I think the transformations may not even work without the softness of their current materials
The way they combine looks excruciatingly annoying. Would it really have killed them to design & engineer something like what the ol' skool G1 toy and Combiner Wars did with the Scramble City style!? (Not to mention that if they did it that way, they'd be set up for a repaint as Car Robots Baldigus/RiD01 Ruination, who has the jeep and tank as arms, and the jet/shuttle and helicopter as legs.
Not going to show the transformations? Not even quickly?
I showed transformations in the individual videos, but I didn't show the combined mode, they are pretty straight forward and there are a ton of videos out already
