We need something like that in Sierra Leone, a Committee comprised of different people from different tribes with integrity that are always there to take care of the country. The Committee is for Conservative Party Members only not for all parties. It is a parliamentary group of the Conservatory Party. The members are elected by all Conservative MPs excluding those who are members of the government. It comprises of all backbench Conservative MPs. It meets weekly when the House of Commons sits to discuss Party matters. It gives less senior members the opportunity to join in discussions regarding the party.
Dr Samura was working amongst enemies. Most of the Executive Officers had hidden agenda..ENK caused the first problem by imposing Dr Samura on them as Leader, coupled with imposing the Deputy Leader on Dr Samura Kamara as well. Dr Samura Kamara should have been allowed to choose his Deputy, this is what normally happens unless EBK too had his own hidden motive.
APC is responsible for it present happenings. Maada told us 5 years ago that 'APC nor good for demsef en nor good for Salone'. I hardly give Maada kudos, but on this one, he's flying high❤
As a Christian the Bible asks us to be slow to speak which can save us from so many problems (this is divine wisdom) But then again he should have been updating them regularly so that mistakes could have been prevented because as the adage says 'Many hands make light work' but then we also have'Too many cooks spoil the broth' The main problem they have is 'TRUST'.
You can observe some of their body language and the way they speak about Dr Samura,, they don't like him and don't trust him. Some, though they will not say it, it may be on tribal grounds and some because he had occupied the position they had longed for. EBK knew what he was doing. I just hope all of them will be asked to refund all the money or most of it, they have stolen and brought to justicel for the innocent people they killed. The ones who are dead,we might be able to look at their heirs, if possible, and take what we can from them. Our Leaders with the exception of Sir Milton Margai are greedy, selfish, heartless and unwilling to change. They upgrade each other as the years go by. If the former Leader stole thousands, the next will steal millions, next billions and so forth.
@mariekamara3897.My sister I 100% agree with u about Sir Milton Margai .He was patriotic, honestly descent , a nation's father , and Sierra Leone was livable and respected by other countries. Since after his death we had corrupt , greedy, selfish and leaders who claim to be national patriotic politicians but turn out to be shrewed business people. During Sir Milton....we had beautiful streets , daily electricity, clean water , booming fisheries , parks , markets like king Jimmy's every where In the country and above all clean villages , towns and Freetown was a real city not a slum like 2day. The reality is there's no more love 4 the country and so progressing is not a priority 4 all our leaders after him.Everthing is about themselves....which is a trending g system all over the world . My final say is , let them reign . And we the peole remember that every road , no matter how long it's has an end . R . I .P Papa Margai .
We can adjust it to suit our Country..Parliamentarians from both parties who are not members of the govt can elect the members that will form the Committee. They should create rules and regulations to run it and update them when need be. Maybe this will end corruption in Sierra Leone.
This is one of the people who don't want to see doctor samura to be the president just listen the way he speaks that will tell you that he don't want doctor samura all of them have to join doctor samura and fight for the people of Sierra Leone
I hope Sierra Leoneans have learnt a lesson now, that they should not vote for people because they belong to the same tribe, region, religion etc. They should check their integrity(and please I don't want people to compare our Leaders with Donald Trump who has already set his own precedent in the USA) WE may be small but we don't want someone who has been convicted of 34 crimes, it is better to follow our Colonial Master's Integrity, for example, the former Prime Minister Boris Johnson had to resugn from his job just for lying, not a serious lie. He told the nation to stay indoors (during the covid period) whilst he held his birthday party and invited friends. Britain has got a Committee, The 1922 Committee that keeps r Leaders and MPs in order. If any Leader or MP misbehaves they make the final decision whether you should stay in your position or not.
