Michael Szilagyi we have to do research on things like that, because I learned it with my catholic priest (he didn’t know ether) He spoke to Greek Catholic priests and found out that they are in union with Rome 🙏
Thank you Father Mike for your inspiring words. I have learned so much. I am not Catholic (yet) but after listening to 'the Bible in a year' podcast many times through 'the Hallow app' and many of the prayers and Novenas my heart is drawn to the faith. I pray the Rosary often, especially when I am frustrated with trials in my life and I find myself relaxing from my frustration. Thank you for being a beautiful Priest.

@PowerTime88 com the Bible says that the first miracle Jesus has ever done (the one with the wine at the Canaan wedding) was because of Mary repeatedly asking him to do it for the guests. So i suppose this is a proof that the Scripture allows praying to saints. And in the end, why not pray to them? They are closer to God than us, and it's just as if we were asking a friend to pray for us.

A story about praying the rosary distractedly: I heard that my grandmother died yesterday, in the middle of my workday (which also includes homeschooling my kid during this lockdown). Thank you, Father, from Hawaii. Priests are so important right now. I am praying for all the holy orders, Pope Francis and our POTUS right now. Thanks for shining your faith...you are a blessing in my life.
Fr. Mike; My family has disowned me because of a mistake I made not directly against them. I hid something from the family for a long time and when I decided to be honest about myself, it was too much for them and I've been disowned ever since. I wasn't expecting them to accept the behavior, that's not right. But I was surprised when I was totally rejected. I'm looking for a podcast from you on family relationship that could help us all understand that family is one of the most important things in life.
I’m so happy I accidentally found this. I have been watching your masses on Sunday with my husband. Thank you thank you thank you for your priesthood. God bless you father and I will pray for your special intention
I had my granddaughter listen to when Father said, “ I didn’t like to go to Catholic school, I didn’t like to go to Mass,” several times. Obviously his parents to did not say, “ok don’t go to Mass.” thank you to Father’s parents for persistence,.

Thank you Father Mike because through your podcast I've come to learn and understand the word of God better. Every day I listen or read it a little more discernment I get, praise The Lord! I'm very grateful to you.
Father Mike, You are the best "BULL'S EYE Preacher" , and, Confessor, on You Tube channels, and, certainly anywhere! You are God-centered, you anchor and then, channel, your explanations through the Catechism. You are a "top" Tutor. This is something so needed to help those of us----ALL---- of us born not knowing, so that we can get to know, and, FEEL, God, and then be able to "troubleshoot", and, fight back, those who are out to confuse us, and to evaporate faith in the One, True God in us and others---- the soldiets of the "evil one" who are, lethally, everywhere!!!!+
I appreciate your realness, vulnerability, enthusiasm and sense of humor and taking the time to answer questions the best you can within a limited time frame.
When this was live it was 2 AM here so I obviously couldn't watch but I really like this type of thing and would appreciate if you did it again sometime. Greetings from Croatia!
Hello Father Mike. I don’t know how I started listening to you. It was a regular day as I was getting to go to work. One of your videos started playing. It’s been two months now. I feel that this was the right time . I feel that our dear Lord put you in my life. You explain things in a very easy way. Every time you talk about the Bible makes go to read about it over again. Thank you Lord for sending Father Mike to help us!
I would love to hear about that conversation with your girlfriend. What a huge moment. So many of use have moments like that in our life, though not exactly the same of course.

We always pray for you, Fr Mike, to be strong against temptation and to remain faithful to your vocation. You're always an inspiration to our whole family.
Always greatful for your time Fr. Mike. You bring a smile to my face every single time. There's something about you, Fr. Dave Swantek, and Bishop Baron that deep inside get to me. That deep inside I know I'm getting what God wants to tell me through you guys! Sometimes there's static in our environment that distracts us and we can't hear him... But then... Boom! There you go delivering a message that somehow applies to me. Sometimes too close that is "freaky"... Lol 🤦 It's amazing how that works if you pay attention. 😉 God bless you all 🙏

Father please help me to not take offence for every thing my husband says after 39 years of marriage his anger and negativity still effects me please help ME how to be resilient? Thanks Father
Hello Fellow Discouraged Catholic, I too, had a husband that said what ever he felt like and drank every day. I tried to help him by saying that drinking every day was going to hurt him physically. And it was hurting me too. I hurt when he hurts as we are one. One day he suffered a stroke and now every day is a blessing having him. He still has trouble walking and talking but he is here. I pray every day that God restores his health. It will be 2 years this month. We have a lot to give thanks and a lot to complain about but once it is almost taken away from you, we can just pray that his health gets better. We will be married 42 years in November, if Gods willing. I depend on Gods mercy. Try to give all your worries and pain to God as he said, come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,* and I will give you rest.
3 years later and I still love watching your masses and listening to your videos. You were there for me when the churches were closed to us and I feel strongly connected to you as a priest. I’m back going to mass in church regularly but Father Mike is still my pastor!
Just seeing this now. I'm dealing with severe worsening of neurological illness, and frequently I cannot watch mass until quite late in the day on Sunday, so I am grateful for it at whatever time my body lets me watch it. And watching on my phone so that I can stay in a position which is easier for my body has been really helpful.
I have a similar problem. Trusting God fully and accepting His will knowing that His will for my life ( even though I may not understand His decisions at the time) is still better than anything I could ever plan. Try the Litany of trust. I've been praying it everyday for the past 2 weeks so that my Trust and Faith in the One who knows everything and has insight on everything may grow.
This was wonderful, informative and entertaining! I love your humor, insights and connections to reality. Thank you for your gifts for sharing the faith!
My nephew who lives in Lebanon is a surgeon. He is a profound believer and he prays before every surgery. One day he was about to do a mastectomy and the patient had just been given the anesthesia, when she saw Jesus behind my nephew holding his hands to help him do the surgery.
Love my 25 min work drive! Its give me the chance to listen to you... You are too funny so glad you have that beautiful Sense of humor.. Whis I could attend 1 of your masses, but I'm in TEXAS. 😔 Have a blessed day and please pray for my family 😘
Fr. Mike you truly have a gift for all, but especially young people. They are so hungry for the Gospel they just don’t know it. God Bless, and may Our Blessed Mother continue to intercede for you!
Thank you so much Father Mike for opening yourself up to be used by God. I listen to you everyday and you have helped me in my faith and to become a better person. Praying for you! ❤
Thank you father Mike and god bless you in the wonderful work you do.Please pray for me,I am in severe nerve pain and I also have COPD,may god bless you always, thank you.
Fr. Mike, I Enjoy listening and seriously learning more. Please Do Not refer to people "who are crazy" (" cause they believe they are the Lord"), because That Wording Offends People who Face and Suffer mental illness temporarily or permanently. I realize you didn't mean 'anything by using this phrase', a reminder!
Thank God for the bit about discernment. I wish I'd heard this months ago - maybe even years ago. But you've saved me so many more weeks of needless anxiety.
The thing that brought me back to the Catholic Church, was watching the cardinal from Chicago on Sunday mornings. And I did it for three years and at the end of those years I was turning the streaming channel off and feeling like I had not gotten enough out of what had happened in the last 28 minutes I needed more but I wasn’t sure I was entitled to more. At that point I had been away will call it about 50 years I did not know until my sister-in-law told me that you could return to the Catholic Church. I never left it. I just stopped going for a lot of reasons that don’t mean a hill of beans anymore. And she explained to me that you could come back to mass. And it was the very beginning of Lenten and she asked me if I would like to go to adoration and confession with her. Well adoration was new to me. I didn’t know anything about it so she explained it to me obviously confession I knew pretty well just hadn’t been stepping in on a regular basis for 50 years, she said that’s OK. Make a list hit the hit the highlights I don’t know if that’s a good way to put it but focus on the on the big stuff so I did that night there were as she promised eight priests and no waiting since I can’t deal she said that you can just go sit next to him and he’ll take it hear your confession, I said you mean face-to-face that’s OK now she was. So, in a matter of about 10 minutes, maybe a little more we got rid of a lot of 50 years. He solved my sins. He gave me my penance and I was walking away. And said to me sometime in during this time, you each communion haven’t you? I had. he said get back over here. We have to take care of this too, and explained it to me why and I glad he did because I didn’t understand it the joy of not only to Palm Sunday service which I do believe is the single longest mass in the world was Wonderful. But the best was yet to come when I received on Easter Sunday I was so happy I almost burst into tears. Those people at Holy Family who know me, know that I can be brought to tears pretty easily. I was so joyful. I was so happy since then I’ve missed three masses for good reasons and I’m gonna miss tomorrow because you don’t want my bacterial infection lungs hacking on you at church. I’ve also been told to stay home by my doctor, so I’ll be catching up with you at 9 AM. I am looking forward to it. Don’t generally get to hear you accept the homily on Sundays, and is wonderful as you are, and as much as I enjoy your mass, and I know that the homily will be first rate, miss sitting in my pew. See you in the morning.
Thank you for putting light into the world. May your purity of love for God radiate like ripples and touch more and more lives so that we can all reach him too.
Thank you for sharing. Interesting questions and answers. Learning something new everyday about our beautiful faith. I’m also petrified of snakes!😬 God Bless!!
Father Mike, you are among the best resources I have leaned heavily upon in helping me return to the church, it has truly been a blessed year for me. I had been away for about 20 years, and had so many questions to ask, and between you, Father Andy of Saint Brigid, Bishop Barron, Father Casey, and The Catholic Talk Show, I've been helped more than I can express in words. I've been regularly attending Sunday Mass, going to what daily Mass when possible due to work, weekly RCIA meeting, and am getting ready for Confirmation next month. Today is Saint Joseph feast day, so I'm a little torn as to how much I need to introduce myself to him, as opposed to continuing from day 50 something, from your wonderful work in Bible in a Year. What a wonderful problem to have. I will continue to pray for all of God's creation to have hearts receptive to his Son, Jesus Christ, for the priests who have helped me along my way, for the people of Ukraine and Russia, for the hearts of world leaders to not be hardened, and for God to make me an instrument of his will. God bless you!
Father Mike you have truly changed my families lives with the Bible in a Year and all of your youtube videos. I currently teach Faith Formation for 5th graders and have had them watch some of your videos because they relate with you so well and you get the point across in a way that they can understand. Thank You and God Bless and as you always say I'm praying for you please pray for me! Much Love and Blessings
I ordered your book on confession that you wrote with father Josh. At the same time I also ordered the spiritual exercises of Saint Ignatius. I am amazed. I was amazed when I got to that point in the confession, where they talk like you talk about, saying Ignatius and I’m thinking I got the book right here. It’s my next read after I finish confession. Thank you so much.

Thank you, Father, from Hawaii. Priests are so important right now. I am praying for all the holy orders, Pope Francis and our POTUS right now. Thanks for shining your faith...you are a blessing in my life.
In Hawaii too! Praying that we are able to safely return to Mass in the near future. God bless.
You are none ego, none judgemental and kind and ppl need this. Thanks for this!
I had my granddaughter listen to when Father said, “ I didn’t like to go to Catholic school, I didn’t like to go to Mass,” several times. Obviously his parents to did not say, “ok don’t go to Mass.” thank you to Father’s parents for persistence,.
Fr. Mike.... I love your LONG answers. God has blessed you richly, and all of us as well, through your obedience and surrender to His call on your life.
Fr. Mike you are so open and sincere it's no wonder you are tuned into with huge numbers .
All of you priests on UA-cam are excellent WE ARE SO BLESSED
HAPPY ADVENT
Fr. Mike, thank you so much for all you do. I'm so grateful for you. We need more Priest like you in the Church!! You inspired me and me so much in my faith. Your enthusiasm and sennce of humor are so wonderful 👍👌 Praying for you always. God bless 🙏✝️
Thank you fr.mike..originally

I missed the live by 11 minutes...
From Brazil. Thanks, Father. You're amazing!
We love you father now and forever God Bless You
I really had a hunger for the Eucharist but have been "filling up" on good homilies on line and Catholic videos like this one.
BLESS me father, for I have sinned too much

Always greatful for your time Fr. Mike. You bring a smile to my face every single time. There's something about you, Fr. Dave Swantek, and Bishop Baron that deep inside get to me. That deep inside I know I'm getting what God wants to tell me through you guys! Sometimes there's static in our environment that distracts us and we can't hear him... But then... Boom! There you go delivering a message that somehow applies to me. Sometimes too close that is "freaky"... Lol 🤦 It's amazing how that works if you pay attention. 😉
God bless you all 🙏

Hello Fellow Discouraged Catholic,
I too, had a husband that said what ever he felt like and drank every day.
Enjoyed! Enjoyed! Enjoyed!
Great! Very funny and inspirational.
You are the best Father...blessings and health and happiness from Sacramento, California!
WE NEED YOU OUT HERE!! 😢🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm from sacramento too and I thought he was lucky to not live out here especially with him not liking snakes 😂 I hate snakes too!

3 years later and I still love watching your masses and listening to your videos. You were there for me when the churches were closed to us and I feel strongly connected to you as a priest. I’m back going to mass in church regularly but Father Mike is still my pastor!
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ 🙏 Mother Mary Pray For Us 🙏
Thank you Father Mike from Arlington, Texas
Please take off the live it's 3/9/2021 & this was live May 18, 2020!!
I wish all videos on this channel would be subtitled in multiple languages so that this content can reach as many people around the world
Just seeing this now. I'm dealing with severe worsening of neurological illness, and frequently I cannot watch mass until quite late in the day on Sunday, so I am grateful for it at whatever time my body lets me watch it. And watching on my phone so that I can stay in a position which is easier for my body has been really helpful.
Sorry to hear about your severe pain,I also suffer from similar illness, may god bless you and heal you.
God bless you Fr. Mike.
I want to trust God with all my heart so much like you do father Mike. Your truly an inspiration to us all. Thank you for your help.
QueenyKay I’m do that thanks 🙏
Factually explaining the freely expressed queries & concerns, is indeed warm and friendly, way of imparting biblical guidance.
Thanks Fr. Mike
You are so amazing, thank you for being.a priest. We need more priests like you!
This was wonderful, informative and entertaining! I love your humor, insights and connections to reality. Thank you for your gifts for sharing the faith!
I thank the lord for your life and all the gifts he has given you. I am from Ecuador, South America. muchos saludos

Father Mike you are amazing. I'll be praying for you I pray for all holy priests
Father Mike,
This is a very IMPORTANT QUESTION/ PETITION.- HOW TO MAKE A PERFECT CONFESSION!!!
Great video
I trust that God will lead me to the next right step ❤
God has truly blessed you as a teacher
You are amazing Fr. Mike!!
Have a blessed day and please pray for my family 😘
Father Mike is the best 💪🏼💜✝️
Fr. Mike you truly have a gift for all, but especially young people. They are so hungry for the Gospel they just don’t know it. God Bless, and may Our Blessed Mother continue to intercede for you!

Thank you father Mike and god bless you in the wonderful work you do.Please pray for me,I am in severe nerve pain and I also have COPD,may god bless you always, thank you.
It was so worth it every single minute.
Great honest answer concerning your vocation.😊🙏🏻
Father Mike, I have learned so much from you. Thank you.
Please pray for the healing of my wife, Father Mike.
I never thought I'd hear a priest say "y'all" and "FYI" in a million years! Father Mike, you made my day! 😂
Fr answering a qt .. said that to stay on good course by staying in the ship of Christianity..... . reminded me ... staying in Noah's ark to stay safe.
... so the Noah's ark of today is the Church.
Thanks Fr Mike 🙏
PS: I hate / fear snakes too.
Trying to find a country to move to ... where there r no snakes and mild warm weather at same time.... maybe that exists only in Heaven !!
It is really very good to be praying the rosary every day and the Divine Mercy chaplet God bless 🙏🙏
Hey Father Mike! FYI, in the back of the Order of Marriage book, appendix III, is a Rite to Bless a Marriage Within Mass... can be used to renew vows. I just used it for my daughter's 10 year anniversary. (I'm a deacon)
Father Mike is so awesome!
