  • Rough road at the bottom of Old Still Trail Road in Sleepy Creek WMA. Definitely did not know it was that rough, we did get out, but there were some sketchy rocks below the large rock formation & pull off. (We do not recommend for most & enter at your own risk.) Ruffed grouse management area, cool rock formations & beautiful views.

Cool video. Don’t think I’ve ever been on that road in Sleepy Creek. Is it close to Berkeley Springs?

Randy Kell, it’s off of Hampshire Grade Road, not to far from the Lake. Definitely not an expert on the area but it’s closer to Shanghai. I’ve spent several days up there turkey hunting this year without any luck.

@@randykell9958 The three other trails past Old Still are much more fun. The 2nd one past Old Still goes up to PeeWee Point and has a great view. The best of Sleepy Creek from my point of view is the 3rd Mt Trail. Left from Shanghai to the other Sleepy Creek entrance (goes past the ranger house). Its the longest and I think the best. Wish they were open all year.

We always reply! 😂 or at least try to. ✅
There are a decent number of trails, I’m not super familiar with the whole wildlife management unit regulations but I think the main purpose of the trials is to get to hunting areas, so they are rough but not marketed toward off roading if that makes sense. 🤷‍♂️ Hopefully that helps… 😂 might be worth a trip up there and check it out.

So did you hear any birds? How much pressure does sleepy creek get during spring turkey season? I am considering spending a day or 2 there this year. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for watching. I know people that hunt spring turkey there and I have a couple days in the past but I’ve never heard or seen any. 😂 Might try this spring because I lost my turkey spot, the habitat is there, we just need to find them. 😂

I just did that in my hummer H3 2 weeks ago. Did you go to the bottom? It was supposed to continue to come out behind one of the deer bedding areas. It dead ended with a giant boulder. I got turned around and out. High rock trail I did that another one that's supposed to continue but dead ends. Burnt out van and a rear pumpkin with a broken rear axle on one side. And other car parts up there to. That was a bitch to turn around. My hummer and a large tree had a small disagreement. I slid broke my driver's side mirror. Duct tape and it's good. If I would have pulled it in it would have made it past. I'm deer hunting near the gate in. About 600yds.

Nope. Lol. Turned the truck around, got out & took a video but never walked to the bottom. Lol. Didn’t want to risk it. Definitely potential for deer hunting there, but I didn’t make it there this year for deer, only for turkey. Good luck!
