Retrograde Massage for Stroke Patients

What is retrograde massage? What does it help with? How do you do it? This video covers all of this explaining why you need to know this technique if swelling in a stroke patient's hand is causing pain, or inability to move, or just general discomfort. With a little training, you can give your loved one such wonderful relief! Plus, you can teach them how to do this, as well. Retrograde massage also provides sensory stimulation to help reconnect the neural pathways from the arm to the brain to "wake up" and get moving again. It can be very effective on several fronts.
No one can guarantee any specific technique will give you 100% return of function or relief of symptoms, but if you dont try, you won't know, will you?
