If you look at my sim report you can see that Ordnance sims close to Ruby. My main issues with Ordnance are: 1) 14+ sec ramp time (yet another thing to have to line up) 2) I still prefer to focus on getting Barrage to crit 3) I can see this being useable in raid when you have to build Barrage stacks on pull, but in keys when you can start every pull with 18 Barrage stacks I can't see being able to wait until you get the int buff to use CDs. With that said I think you might be able to make it work in keys if you use it as a pack is dying and try to drag the int buff into the next pull or offset AP from your group's CDs and hope you don't lose Magi damage from mobs dying/moving due to waiting to start the ramp. And by macroing IQD into AP you still only need 1 trinket hotkey. So far I think that running double on-use with Arcane Prodigy is the play for Tyrannical because getting a 2nd AP during a sketchy Boss fight can be clutch.
Trinket info re Ordnance is really important as mplus shows most ppl use ruby but wowhead advises ordnance. Thanks for sharing. Asked on discord but got the standard ‘sim it’ reply which is pointless as I’m low ilvl and gearing up.

I’m always confused with radiant spark. It says the effects end after four spells. So I always do spark blast blast blast blast then barrage and those are five spells! Is that wrong because your aoe rotation has 6 spells in total. Or when you said blast/barrage they were counted as one spell because they hit at the same time?
Yea the tooltip is a bit ambiguous lol. The last 2 do basically count as one spell because of how barrage snapshots it damage (1:22). So queuing it up gives it the 40% buff with the 5th blast.
What are you doing outside of any CDs on single target? Most I've seen is spam missile, orb if its up to get to two charges, then arcane blast to 4 charges and then barrage at 18 stacks 4 charges but I'm constantly low mana at 22% mastery because of this rotation.
Yea I usually end up getting 1 or 2 barrages between CDs depending on CC procs but with low mastery causing mana issues maybe just barrage at 10+ stacks since that's 2 missile casts and you get the mana refund from barrage, and make sure to use your mana gem on CD starting early in the pull. Another very minor thing you could do to save mana with orb is build the first 2 arcane charges with blast then orb for the 3rd and 4th charges instead of the other way around. Also, playing pelagos if you aren't already is probably necessary for mana conservation lol.
@@Dojihr Well cast Missiles twice and build to 4 Charges with Blast then Barrage because that will get you 10/13/16 stacks depending on Clearcasting procs for the Barrage. You can also start by building Arcane Charges after you Barrage to try for Clearcasting procs for the Missiles instead of building Barrage stacks first. The best solution is to get some more mastery but until then maybe smaller more frequent Barrages will help mitigate it the Mana issues.
@@Dojihr I build to 18 stacks and then build 4 Charges with Orb or Blast depending on when Orb comes up, but as soon as I hit 18 stacks I'll start building Charges. I usually only cast Missiles with 18 stacks if I'm holding them for upcoming CDs. What I'm suggesting in the previous replies are ideas to help with your Mana problems due to lack of Mastery but my focus is to cast as many 18 stack/4 Charge Barrages as I can between CDs until ~12 seconds before Magi is ready.
Any thoughts on Mekanicos? I've been really enjoying him for keys, specially when packs survive longer than 20s. You can pop it in combination with arcane orb and do a pretty decent amount of funnel + aoe damage. Also, sims suggest Mekanicos is the way to go for most situations. I might consider swapping to Kleia for Tyran weeks just because that third potency gets a lot more value. I really enjoyed your comments on secondary stats. I prefer playing with 13-15% haste, although currently I'm playing with 11% due to gear. Overall, excellent guide, I really enjoyed listening to you, a lot of the things mentioned thing were things I found out by myself and having the reassurance from a great arcane mage, makes me glad that I'm getting a good grasp of this very fun spec.
I haven't done any testing with Mikanikos yet. So far with how things have played out in keys for me I can't see getting full value from the Radiant Spark CDR and my understanding is Mikanikos is mainly good for the Haste trait (Hammer of Genesis), which I can't see being optimal for this build. With that said, because I haven't done any testing and I don't know how good the dmg from Bron is (since I have read that Arcane can proc Bron fast with Barrage cleave), it's possible it has some use. I personally prefer Kleia for the crit that bypasses DR. It never hurts to test though! :D Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Im having trouble killing my Muehzala soul in the dungeon De Other Side. Do you have any tips to be able to kill the soul while also dodging the missiles?
You should have mini burst for this. When battle with muehzala starts you have to pop all your cds at very start of battle. If you don't have any at this time, then save them on shadow. Time between start and portals is approx. 50 - 60 seconds. When you teleport to shadow use mini burst at very start. Cast ring, then when shadow appears cast spark+totm and so on. Mini burst will take about 70% hp of shadow. Also don't forget to have 18 stacks before portals
On high tyr keys I just save AP for the add phase and mini-burn on pull, also make sure to have presence of mind and u can probably hard cast the first arcane blast then PoM and skip the 5th Blast if you have to move. But ya what they said make sure u have 18 stacks going into the add phase so u can start the ramp immediately.
Radiant spark says that it's only affected by direct damage spells, so how come the aoe ramp part of the video has you doing arcane explosions to further the spark damage?

Any tips on how to consistently get 5 arcane blasts + barrage in for radiant spark? my barrage seems inconsistent and sometimes gets the 40% spark boost and sometimes it doesn't. I've tried distance, more haste, etc. and nothing seems to work.
So the distance and haste thing is more about getting Barrage to land during Magi than getting the 40% Spark buff for both Blast and Barrage. Dubcat commented earlier about the spell queue window setting affecting his ramp so I'll be putting together an explanation of how I set my spell queue window soon and I'll put it in the pinned comment. With that said, all "queuing up" means for Barrage means just mash the barrage button while you cast Arcane Blast, so if you've been waiting until the end of the cast to try and time it that may be why.
Lately I've been liking Kleia in keys so I havent been taking arcane prodigy. I've found when pushing that I'm not able to use AP exactly on CD all the time because it needs to be up for specific pulls. Also the way I see Ruby and Arcane Prodigy is that if u crit without using Ruby u do the same dmg as if u had used Ruby so using AP without Ruby doesn't always mean less dmg, just more likely to be less dmg lol
@@SupertroopTV ok but u always want to use ruby together with AP right? so isnt ruby kinda wasted when u play arcane prodigy and use AP on cd? because like that u can only combine AP and ruby every 3rd AP and not every single one like without arcane prodigy :
It definitely feels like a waste but given that ruby's crit buff scales with enemy HP (which can be gamed a bit) its still gonna be more stat than IQD and I'm not a huge fan of ordnance given the struggle of timing the ramp with cleave. I think ruby is still the best option available with pelagos and it's a ST increase to use AP on CD even if ruby isn't ready. Given that this build is all about timing, for me it comes down to if I can get the full AP dmg out before ruby is ready, if I can I send it and if I can't then I take kleia instead. So far I've had good results doing this.
LOL barrage is mega wonky man. I see it refuse to hit cleave targets all the time. You are the first class guide I've seen to make any mention of this.
@@SupertroopTV one thing that might be worth sharing with viewers is about spellqueuewindow. Warrior discord had me set that to 100+latency so 121 in my case. Turns out this was resulting in big gaps in my cast which meant my barrage was hitting after TOTM unless I stood right on the mob. Arcane discord had me set it to 400 and it’s all working fine now. No more gaps!
Good point! I've had mine set to 250 for Fire last tier and so far it seems to be working well. I've seen/read conflicting suggestions on what it should be so I've just trial & errored my way to 250. I'm gonna put together something about it and put it in the pinned comment.

That's a good one for sure but I've found that the travel time for my mouse makes me miss kicks lol, I stick to focus kicks for insurance purposes and just use the mouseover set focus. I would also add a "harm" component to it to make sure it doesn't bug out if u mouseover an ally if that's ever been an issue for u.
Hello i can't cast 5. arcane blast during ToTM window with %13 haste. My range also close to dummy like 7-8 yards. What are you think about that problem ?
My best guess is your Spell Queue Window is causing this. I've added resources to the pinned comment that explain how to adjust that to see if that's what's causing it.

I personally feel like sometimes I can’t react too well on certain situations as arcane and losing dps. I am planning to do m+ guides! Because keys are so long I'm going to break them up into smaller videos focusing on specific topics (such as blink stun removal opportunities). And regarding overall DPS that's about where I end up but that's with missing Barrage cleave during CDs for various reasons. I'd start by making sure you arent using CDs during tank movement or other situations where Barrage cleave would be reduced.
For AOE you want to only missiles with Clearcasting procs up to 7 targets, dont bother with missiles over 7. But when Orb is gonna be up before I'd have time to generate 4 charges with Arcane Explosion and Barrage, I'll cast missiles til Orb is ready.
I've had good results just holding Ruby for the next Arcane Power use. I looked through my sim sample action sequence and it uses Ruby the same way. It's more important to use Arcane Power on CD when running Arcane Prodigy than to line it up with Ruby.
@@yesh1000 Yea, on raidbots pick the Stat Weights tab and u can load in your characters current armory profile and sim that, or if u have the SimulationCraft addon installed just type /simc and copy paste that data into the raidbots window. And then the best way to save your stat weights in game is an addon called pawn, raidbots will generate a pawn string that u can paste into pawn in wow.

This macro does mouseover counterspell BUT it also counterspells your primary target if there's no mouseover or you simply hold right mouse button.
It's so good, I don't know how to play without it now
That's a good one for sure but I've found that the travel time for my mouse makes me miss kicks lol, I stick to focus kicks for insurance purposes and just use the mouseover set focus. I would also add a "harm" component to it to make sure it doesn't bug out if u mouseover an ally if that's ever been an issue for u.
Hello i can't cast 5. arcane blast during ToTM window with %13 haste. My range also close to dummy like 7-8 yards. What are you think about that problem ?
My best guess is your Spell Queue Window is causing this. I've added resources to the pinned comment that explain how to adjust that to see if that's what's causing it.

Is there any chance that U’ll make some m+ guides as well? Taking us thru ur keys explaining stuff? I personally feel like sometimes I can’t react too well on certain situations as arcane and losing dps. Doing around 8-9.5k overalls on 18-20 keys feel like im under perfoming and would really love to have some talk thru m+’s if U could!

I am planning to do m+ guides! Because keys are so long I'm going to break them up into smaller videos focusing on specific topics (such as blink stun removal opportunities). I will be working more on that in the next couple weeks and if you have a specific topic you'd like me to cover just join my discord and let me know in the UA-cam-short-request channel :). And regarding overall DPS that's about where I end up but that's with missing Barrage cleave during CDs for various reasons. I'd start by making sure you arent using CDs during tank movement or other situations where Barrage cleave would be reduced.

For AOE do we want to farm up 18 stacks or just go straight into the rotation with no stacks?
For AOE you want to only missiles with Clearcasting procs up to 7 targets, dont bother with missiles over 7. But when Orb is gonna be up before I'd have time to generate 4 charges with Arcane Explosion and Barrage, I'll cast missiles til Orb is ready.
How to proper use Ruby? its always on cd when 2th arcan power is up
I've had good results just holding Ruby for the next Arcane Power use. I looked through my sim sample action sequence and it uses Ruby the same way. It's more important to use Arcane Power on CD when running Arcane Prodigy than to line it up with Ruby.

My current stats as of 8/18 are:
23.4% Crit
13.3% Haste
12.6% Vers
27% Mast
Im finding this plays pretty well so far.

@@yesh1000 Ya I've been following my stat weights and they want me stacking vers>mast/crit for now so I'm seeing how that turns out. So far so good.

@@yesh1000 Yea, on raidbots pick the Stat Weights tab and u can load in your characters current armory profile and sim that, or if u have the SimulationCraft addon installed just type /simc and copy paste that data into the raidbots window. And then the best way to save your stat weights in game is an addon called pawn, raidbots will generate a pawn string that u can paste into pawn in wow.
