I didn’t stand a chance yrs ago I thought of it then I found this way of life I live and most of the time I’m amazed how my life changed . Got my first Harley at age 73 . And taking the Harley classes and loving it. I never thought my life could be this good.!! But I came close yrs ago of ending it . But the powers that be said . OH NO YOU don’t!!!! If I can have a good life I believe anyone can!!!😊😊😊
I have been riding for just under a year… and I have realised that Harley Riders have been practicing “mindfulness” without even realizing it!! We have a crap day at work - we go for a ride and reset x x x Thanks for sharing this info to everyone - our generation have not been taught this!
Shout out from the USA freind. You sir are the real deal. A quality act true and through! A very wise and honest mentor. Thank you for what you do along with your peers for the better collective good! Great format, presentation, topics, videography, editing and tune selection. Did I miss anything? :-) LOL! Especially sharing and addressing the suicide issues. The advice for newbies is spot on brother. I am always saying the exact to any new riders I meet. I was stoked to see someone saying the same. Awesome! Safety and concern for those around you. That is what real men do. Or used to. I don't see as much of that out there by experienced riders as I'd like. Maybe different out there yeah? I find your entire delivery simple and easy to grasp. Apparently so do multitudes of others. As it should be. Straight up to the point. No cheap fillers added. All respect to you. I'll add that I am glad to see you guys are out there voicing awareness about the garbage that the media, etc are doing. Blessings to you and all of us that enjoy riding and helping one another. Everyone has different viewpoints for a reason. We all see things from different lenses. Or should I say visors and goggles? There 3 examples of what I'm saying. LOL! We are all different and like different things. It's why we love our Harley's. But, together we make a completeness. That is unbrideled power right there yeah? We all resonate with different kinds of things from one another. Appreciate everyone who is a contributor and support where you can. Much love brother and sisters out yonder! Nuff said!
It’s so pleasing to see the focus on mental health these days, and the bike community is a fantastic avenue to help spread the word. Well done to all involved! 😉✌️🤙
Great vid as usual. Watched Danny pre bikes and got very saturated after a while. After the Death Road I watched content at GHD and went away for a while. He’s awesome, courageous and inspires many. I will get back however really enjoying your style ATM. We are blessed with this platform and blessed by all you “guys” that create for many different reasons. Awesome.
Hi Eamon just found you and aged 72 totally agree with your channel name. Riding a motorcycle ( sorry I ride a GS ) is definitely mentally therapeutic and I would recommend to anyone . To add to that I would also add ( your hate this . Hence my channel name.) cycling and fishing. All three of these leads you into a positive mind set. I would also add to this something else. Last year with a short time I initially brought a Pan America didn't like it and traded it in for a FatBoy which I also didn't like. But this whole experience wasn't a waste of my time as it got me involved in H.O.G and it has transformed my motorcycling experience. Ok I get some stick because of what I now ride but as I say to them when the time arrives and I have enough money I will buy a big tourer which I should of done. For now I have made some great friends over here in the UK and if you are reading this and feeling down and even if you have no money to buy one go along to your local Harley dealership and get talking to those that are there. If you do I promise you will come away smiling and will feel better. I mean look at what Colin at Geelong did in allowing the fella to use his workshop. If you would find this difficult to do the please please talk to someone about how you are feeling as you are too precious to leave this world earlier than you should be. Remember what Danny says in that suicide just transfers the pain. You've another sub Eamon Ted.
You are a legend riding at 72, that's great well done. Doesn't matter what you ride - enjoy it. You are spot on the Harley community is beyond excellent.
Doesn't matter what you ride Ted, as long as you ride. Glad you're still here to enjoy it. A channel in your neck of the woods, you may or may not like, is 44 teeth, the Missenden flyer, and a couple others l've forgotten at the moment.... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours and everyone else.
Her's my pro tip: You can't really do it alone. Get a dog to love and love you back, they are incredible. Be kind to others always, and thanks for sharing! you make great videos brother.
Been a 🇬🇧 subscriber of MDB for quite a while now. Great to see guys talking bout mental health n suicide. I lost a close mate to suicide and he just drove off in a car into a quiet field and gassed himself with the exhaust fumes. I miss him every day n just wished he would have let me know how he was feeling so I could have at least spoke to him n shared his thoughts.
Awesome. I really wanted to drop a week and head down for that ride. But it started to rain and dump more rain in my neck of the woods. So I have been looking forward to your vlog. Thanks and maybe next year. 👍
I have been doing the cold shower idea without realising that it was good for me. Been turning the hot water off on Sunday for the week so by Wednesday to Friday the water is pretty cool. Plus cos it’s so hot a sneaky shower outside with the hose. So cool and the breeze is nice and refreshing. You probably can’t do that in the suburbs but it’s the best place for a shower during summer.
Just wanted to say thx for what you were saying about mental health and the way you explained it made me stop and listen about how I am dealing with my own demons and gave me some good advice on how to deal with it cheers
Excellent video, you gave such great advice and how to have a positive attitude living in the day, you would be my #1 for my personal councilor, my son has been advising me to go back to my councilor but I believe I will continually replay your advice, thank you so very much!!
Cold ❄ goes right into my bones. I have a plug into my bike an "extreme heat" electric under jacket. They offer connected pants and gloves. The jacket is total blanket of heat. It extendes my season to nearly year round. The blood going into my extremities is all warmed up. I can ride comfortably in 35F temperatures. I have disposable hand warmers that put out heat about 4hrs if my gauntlet gloves need help.
Great cause buddy im from geelong born and bred in ocean grove Barwon heads been riding since the 60s bought my first bike with paper run money back in the day a Honda step thru from fyansford 100$ nowadays on the Yamaha FJR stay safe and upright buddy
Came across your vlog and really enjoyed it…been watching MDB for a few years now. Great cause, as over here in the states, we lose 22 veterans a day to suicide
This video is nothing short of bad assery. I'm a retired psychiatric nurse. I've learned a lot about suicide from personal experience as well as my career. I see freedom for a maybe only a short time everyday when I ride a country road. Me, my bike, & the hiway become one. It's probably saved my life more than once. I'm going ho try the cold shower. Seems like good advice. Thnx!
Great mental health tips. It isn’t easy to put all of that into practice of course, however if people suffering from mental health issues can somehow challenge their thoughts and also interact with people who are creating and/or riding at positive events such as the Lifeline ride, then they’ve got a fighting chance at a more balanced life. If anyone is reading this and is a sufferer, then I wish you happiness with everything that you do, and please reach out to people who are willing to help. ✌️🤙

Hey Ayman, every time I see RG on your videos it feels like a punch in the eye! 😅 just joking, great video, great ride for a great cause. Greetings from Germany ✌🏻😃
Great Vid, Aiman. Just to reflect on mental health, my dad suffered through it most of his life.... since I was ~ 4 ... Him finding some refuge with CMHA during his later years.... That said.... I don't know how many times during the watching of this vid that I was scoffing at most of the riders " Get your **#$ feet Up !! " . Nothing drives me more crazy than watching someone ride their bike at 3 kph with their feet down like outriggers.... Uuugghhh, ..... lol. BTW, I'm with you Mate, I hate the cold too... But know how to dress for it.... Petunia.... Not.... A Snap Dragon, .... Maybe, lol. Stay Safe.

Good cause indeed, but watching or following Bogans riding antics is suicidal, riding habits are a bit sketchy to say the least.. All good. Its just the statistics averaged out. More on one day than on another day and then over a long time period averaged into a daily statistic. Some people would just round it up and say 9? Yes its a horrible thing.
Unfortunately I have made many mistakes in my life. A by product of stupidity and an irresponsible way of life. My salvation and the reason I'm still here is two things. A good woman who stuck with me and, becoming close to God. Our Father in Heaven wants us to be happy and from his word the Bible we realize that this rotten system is temporary. When we get closer to God through prayer and just talking to him we find more and more, that there is much comfort and solace. I’m a support worker,we had to do a week long course on mental health first aid (Ask About Suicide) it was the hardest course I’ve ever done .
