- The plaintiff says the defendant is her ex-boyfriend and the father of her newborn child. She claims he borrowed money from her and left her in debt with an infant after he failed to repay her, so she’s suing. The defendant says they divided up expenses when they were together and claim his ex is suing him for money he doesn’t owe.

But that’s fair, I do agree they were both stupid and did neither of those things so pertaining to this case specifically where neither took precautions I just found it distasteful that she didn’t have any negatives to say for the guy who already has two kids and didn’t prevent another one. agreed , unless something (we know what) terrible happened to you, it’s genuinely the most unnecessary problem of the modern age.
Firstly dont have sex with ANYONE your not willing to at the very least co parent with.
Second, use a rubber, pills, shots, patches, plan b, films, gels, spermicides, diaphragm, sponges, cervical caps, etc.. most of these methods can be double or triple mixed together for extra protection.
It sucks that these kids are born unwanted, and to childish, messy dysfunctional parents who cant stand each other and bring all kinds of new relationships over their head and those kids too, God forbid, but it happens so often, end up continuing the cycle because you can tell a child all the right things, but if you aren’t living it, it wont stick.
We’re products of our environments but at some point we have to face responsibility of all the “fun” and “freedom” we have and make a selfless decision.

Given the circumstances, I don’t think he knew beforehand how to respond appropriately to that moment. Moreover, allowing him to see but not hold his own baby would manifest as emotional distance. Men are very logical. You’ll allow me to see my child but you won’t give me permission to hold her? I wouldn’t be too thrilled about the idea of that either because why would I get my hopes up for nothing?

I don’t think it was disinterest. I think he was afraid to see her and bond with her. That little smile when talking about the baby having his nose, wasn’t smug. There was just a flash of genuine emotion. Don’t forget that he’s a gang member who’s probably a killer and who’s served time. He would be well practiced at not showing soft emotions. It took me $50 to learn my lesson, I had a guy beg me to order him pizza, he said there’s no food and he’s hungry (twice). I made him promise to pay me back and I lied saying I can’t pay my bills if you don’t pay me back, he didn’t pay me back, so he clearly cared about me... anyways then once we went out and I bought food but he sat there looking hungry so I bought him fries (good ones for $5) and when I asked him why he couldn’t say thankyou he was like “well anyone could’ve bought me fries..”. This coming from a guy who was begging to be with me because I was his 5th grade crush.. when I asked for the money back a month later he said “when you need it”. It was easy to leave him. I have no problem helping a friend in need but no he just tried to share my money and be controlling. I sent him $10 to buy some noodles if he’s really starving like that. He was fine. Never bought me anything, not even my chicken sandwich ($1) at McDonald’s the first time we hung out. Just don’t ever give money to guys unless it’s something you want to give, or you’re married and it’s a healthy relationship. Women really trying to buy love is too damn common for some reason.

But that's really irrelevant...The point is, as the father, he has a right to have contact with the child unless a family court judge says otherwise. That he could be so nonchalant about seeing a child he helped create is very telling of the type of person he is.

The judge was correct, but I can't get my head around a 29 year old woman going all in for a guy so quickly. They were together for 3 months! In that time, she got pregnant, he ran up $1000 in fines, and then he left for another woman. Oh, and he's a father of other kids too....... Madness.

That's not true. I had a nephew who paid child support and tried to see his child. In the end, the ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend murdered the child and it broke his heart. Unless a man is willing to go to jail, there is only so much he can do if the mother wants to keep him from his child. So don't presume to speak for every situation.

I’d hate my life so much if I was not only a single mother, but a single mother whose child’s father is like this guy. I don’t know how these women do it. I know a lot of people don’t have respect for these women, but I do. That IS NOT the car to get when you don't have money due to maintenance costs! Then you see them in the parking lot on ramps because they can't afford to take it somewhere to fix. They also go and put rims on it that cost twice as much as the value of the car! Idiotic.
I once worked with someone who drove a Range Rover. Their only advice was “A luxury car requires a luxury bank account”. The maintenance is really expensive too.

Also to everyone that says he’s acting weird towards the baby, not trying to hold her, looking at her all weirdly.. I get why y’all would say that - but at the same time, put yourself in his position if you can. He clearly is nervous as hell, he’s on national television, not to mention it’s new to him and he hasn’t been able to connect to the baby. He doesn’t have the experience. Most dads are that way when they have a new baby. Also, me being someone who used to not really like kids or like being around them (due to my lack of a normal childhood and never being around other babies) I can completely understand why he sort of froze. I mean dads are looked at with a magnifying glass, when in SOME circumstances they’re a better parent to the child than the mother. Dads fighting for custody have such a low chance of getting 50/50 rights, if not full rights. So clearly the people who comment saying he should’ve just walked to court and got custody, be realistic. Something like that takes a lot of time, money, and cooperation from BOTH sides. So if one side doesn’t show up to a hearing one day, that’s another 6mo to a year of just waiting. I can completely understand why he got nervous and wasn’t sure what to do. Not only that, but the judge asked the cousin to let him see her, not hold her, so he was supposed to just reach out and grab the baby not knowing who was going to react in what way?
