Had a lot of fun with these rascals! Thanks for all the love Schmoeville :)
Amirose Eisenbach Anytime lady!
You deserve all the love amirose your amazing. Love you on these shows :)
You are great! Please come back :)
J I M Jenks Thanks so much! Appreciate it :) xx
badass447 thanks love! I would love to come back
Lmfao I literally looked around my room when Finstock's music started playing. He's hilarious.
Another great episode Schmoes. I was having a really rough day today and you guys really brought a smile to my face. I need to try to catch a live show one of these Thursday nights, so I can be involved in all these discussions!
By the way my 2014 Superhero movie list is.
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past (Can not beat it. I am a X-Men fanboy. This hit all the right notes and was a fantastic movie)
2. Captain America: TWS (Better than I was expecting. Fun spy thriller, though a little predictable)
3. Big Hero 6 (A little childish obviously, but still a fun time)
4. Guardians of the Galaxy (This movie just did not click with me the way it did most people. I was surprised because I love space Sci-Fi. It was good not great, it has zero replay value for me. I hate to use the word overrated, but that is how I feel about it. I feel it only made all that money because it was a pretty good movie that had the benefit of releasing in August. If it was released in May it wouldn't have made as much.)
5. Amazing Spider-Man 2 (I didn't hate this as much the first time I watched it, but upon second viewing it really was terrible on many levels. My brother enjoyed it though so I don't hate on people if they do like it. Just wasn't for me.
The Unleash the Trolls segment was absolutely hilarious. I had tears I was laughing so hard!
"The nap that I got during Captain America 2 was fantastic" LOL Wildman
Amazing Spider-Man made 5th on my list, but I don't agree with the hate it gets. It was a decent movie, at best and MUCH better than Spider-Man 3
David Jordao Was just a mess though, no?
schmoesknow Errors in film structure don't ruin a movie for me. I seem to be the only one.
schmoesknow A little bit, yeah. But the movie still had some good things going for it. It was about 50/50 for me.
Completely agree, ASM2 was not the travesty that was Spiderman 3. Both movies show that Sony definitely got too involved in the development process of the movies. They need to let the directors and writers be the directors and writers. Still thought the movie had redeeming qualities. Spiderman 3 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life.
I certainly find TASM2 to be much better than the first. I hated that one. And I cannot tell a lie. I do like Spider-Man 3 (yeah you heard me, lol).
that troll segment had me in tears! hahaha
It's not Valentine's Day yet, but my
Aren't I a lucky lady! :) xx
how am i able to watch the schmoes know live? including the aftershow? is it via itunes or on the website?
zac leong It is on the website every Thursday night 6-8PM PST www.schmoesknow.com and the Aftershow will be Dec 20th 9PM PST
I havent laughed so hard in awhile! The unleash the trolls segment was so funny!
The improv from Ken was out of this world he crushed the news!!
Not a huge superhero guy, but the crop of films from the genre this year were *way* better than last year's superhero flicks.
Damn you guys! Every time you bring up the Star Wars trailer, I have to go watch it 10 more times!!!
Can't stop laughing! Love the new segment Unleash the Trolls.
How can we watch the after hours show on the 20th
Love this show. So laid back, so much fun guys, such a great time to be a sweaty nerd " )
Anyone, Where can I watch the live Schmoes Know shows? Does it pop up on the main page when it starts? Do I click a specific section. Please help. I'll be so mad at myself if I miss the After Hours show.
On the main page, yes.
Slade The Deathstroke
Thank You

Mansib Rahman Go to the playlist on ua-cam.com/users/schmoesknowpodcast It is in the Jedi Alliance playlist on PopcornTalk
how do i watch the after hours show in Australia?
And what time would it be on Australian time?
Loved when you guys were reading all the troll comments. Great stuff.
Wow, I was just going back and viewing older episodes and the segment when you read troll comments in different voices was absolutely hilarious. WHY IS THAT NOT IN THE NEWER EPISODES THAT I'VE SEEN?!? OMG, I almost pissed myself because I was laughing so hard at times. PLEASE, BRING THIS SEGMENT BACK!!!
Amirose you're so darn cool!
Alright, my list.
6) The Not-So-Amazing Spider-man 2 - Spidey is dead to me. Sony is trash. Sony needs to die. I'm sorry to all the people who rely on Sony for their jobs, but you're company is trash. D+
5) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Fun movie! Turn your brain off and enjoy! C+
4) Big Hero 6 - Charming and a great time! The second half wasn't as good as the first, but I still enjoyed it so much! B
3) Guardians of the Galaxy - Brilliantly funny, great action, amazing chemistry between the actors. One of the most fun films! A-
2) Captain America: Winter Soldier - My favorite film in the MCU. In a post-90's world when no one knows how to film action scenes, it's so refreshing to see a film with BRILLIANT action scenes. So much care was put into this film. Well written, well filmed, well acted. And the practical action scenes is what puts it above The Avengers for me. A
1) X-Men: Days of Future Past - One of my favorite films in years. Brilliant is every way. EVERY character was at their peak. It's perfect. A+
Daniel Epler Nice list!
Right back at ya, Daniel! Same top 4 as mine yay. What great taste we have :)
Love forgetting this is gonna come out and then getting surprised when it pops up in the sub box
Love these!
So glad Amirose finally came on the show!! :) "PASS, NEXT QUESTION!"
Yay! :)
Great Show this week as always :) Watching and Loving from the UK
My Top 5 (Which is more of a top 3 to be honest)
1. Guardians of the galaxy
2. Captain America The Winter Soldier
3. X men Days of future past
4. Amazing Spider-Man 2 (As I said before more of a top 3 list)
Haven't seen TMNT or Big Hero 6 yet
4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. Guardians of The Galaxy
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
19:59 Completely random, but props to Mark Ellis for the Bert Kreischer shout out. The real Van Wilder.
Powerful Bert Kreischer shout out! Glad someone else caught it ;) The Machine Lives!
ericdecosta89 I went to FSU with him. -KH
You guys have to have him on as a guest or be guests yourselves on the Bertcast. You were great on Ari's Skeptic Tank. More Deathsquad/Schmoes crossing paths is never a bad thing ;)
Mark's jokes were on point! Very fun show once again.
Great to see the show back on after the holiday break, such a funny episode. Roxy was fantastic, keeping it real. Amirose was awesome too.
DaRchiTect 24 Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the love
I love the Unleash the Trolls segment!
Fuck yes you finally got Amirose on here!!! Great show you guys!!
Thanks for the love, Shawn! I had a lot of fun, they're amazing
My top 5:
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past simply because this movie was able to carry an ensemble cast with individual story lines, time travel with confusion and reboot a whole series while being entertaining FLAWLESSLY. It has no option but to simply be number one.
2. Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier was a solid film and an upgrade from the original. Captain America was the wet blanket of the team before this film and now has become a fan favorite. I love the spy thriller feel of it and I was definitely kept on my toes the entire time. You can actually argue that this film is better than the Avengers.
3. Guardians of the Galaxy because it was pure, comic-book fun. I loved the fresh feel of this film. I'm glad Marvel decided to take a risk with these characters.
4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a pretty fun movie. Annoyingly immature at times, but fun. What else do you expect from a Michael Bay, Megan Fox-led, film. I wish that there were more turtles in this and hopefully the sequel will focus on them more. I don't expect and Oscar nominations but still was entertained.
5- I STILL haven't seen The Amazing Spider Man 2 but have heard nothing but NEGATIVE comments from EVERYONE. I still want to give it a chance and watch it but....maybe when it comes on cable lmfao.
I want a Reilly Weekly Rant segment!!
How do I get to watch the After Hour show?
QLCHerald Go to the website on Dec 20th 9PM PST www.schmoesknow.com
Thanks a lot.
great episode
My list is basically Amirose's list
1.X-men days of future past
2.Captain America 2 (alternates with Guardians of the galaxy very often)
3.Guardians of the galaxy (alternates with Captain America 2 very often)
4. Big Hero 6
5. Spider-man 2 (was an average Movie and gets trashed on more than it should)
Also Roxy is awesome and its great when she comes on the main show. And with the suicide squad in the comic member die all the time captain boomerang might die so maybe Jai Courtney might not have prominent role
Well played
Reilly, was that a modified Droopy Dog impression you did during the T4 troll comment? Good one!
siskokidd haha
I love the Troll thing hahahaha
Fun show as always. It got off the rails hear and there but that's what makes the show so awesome.
Tyler Myers Thanks Tyler!
Can we bring this segment back??!! Lol Trolls!
So the aftershow is not being posted right?
Apollo Bently Just live
Guys its 'Y' in Genisys to mix story and technology (System). Why so many people have a problem with that?
Because the title would be more clever than the actual trailer...
It's dumb.
I know. Seems like people want to hate it just on principle.
Awesome show... I think I am in love with Roxy lol. Y'all keep up the great work. I watch y'all everyday. All the way from Decatur Alabama
Jacob Lott Thanks Jacob!
No need. I am super soaked me and my brother just got tickets to see @5150 Ellis in Nashville Tn. Hell yea
My top superhero movies of 2014 is
1. The Winter Soldier, Days of Future Past, Guardian of the Galaxy these 3 are my first favorites because it's like watching a spy flick thriller, time traveling movie and a inner galactic space film but with a Marvel style to it
2. Amazing Spider-Man 2 I like the chemistry between Peter and Gwen it shows great character development an the way the interact with each other, also I like the comedic humor with spidey he's so funny, comic booky, and cartoonish like his cartoon self
Loved that Neeeeewwwwwwssssss segment lol.
great show.
Had fun watching amirose on the show. Hope you get schnepp and campea back on.
Thanks Justin!
Kristian's list is the exact same as mine, I got so excited when I learned this last night! I'd give him a high 5 if I were there! :D
TheGamerGirl2330 Virtual high five!
1- Days of future past
2- Cap 2
3 - Guardians
I care not for the others.
Love Ken Napzok's news.
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
3. Guardians of the Galaxy
4. The Amazing Spider Man 2
I have yet to see Big Hero 6 and I refuse to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The sentinels (not sure if I spelled it right) in X-Men: DOFP were the best villains hands down
Most excited for Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, Justice League Parts 1 and 2, Aquaman, Captain America 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers Infinity Wars Parts 1 and 2, Thor 3, Dr Strange and Black Panther and X-Men: Apocalypse
I feel like I'm the only one who enjoyed The Amazing Spiderman 2. It is the only movie that made me cry this year, and it is the only superhero movie this year to actually kill off a character, rather than pretending to. The movie had structural errors, I can understand complaints about that. But the structure of a movie doesn't matter as much as how that movie made me feel. I loved the soundtrack, the acting, the characters, and the ending. I don't understand the people who call it a really bad film.
ironsoxx You are not the only one. Tons of people out there.
Cara is in the new John Green (Fault in our Stars) book to movie adaptation of "Paper Towns" and she's the big lead in that, so I'm sure she will be good.
Josiah Ward I think so too. -KH
The best scene/fight in all of the super hero movies was when the X-men were fighting the future sentinels. fkn awesome!
I'm not a Star Wars fanboy or fan really but the new lightsaber was pretty cool. Sure I can see the weakness in the corners but it's still interesting, like it or not it's less dangerous to the wielder than Darth Maul's saber. I was surprised by all the hate it got, considering this series has space carebears, space bigfoot, a "gay" robot and so on. I trust JJ Abrams to make it cool, he did great with Star Trek.
Cool to see Amy Rose on the show.
My list: all 3 are soo interchangeable, a slight mood change affects the list, too tough!
1. Captain America 2: GREAT action, well done and well paced.
2. Xmen DOFP: loved how it cleaned up the time line!
3. Guardians of the Galaxy: surprisingly good, needed more RR, had me crying with the hospital scene, great hero moments, Rocket Raccoon talking about his past was heartbreaking and just awesome. It would be such an amazing prequel to show the creation of RR and him escaping from the scientists.
4. I haven't seen Spiderman 2 or Big Hero 6, not really interested but might watch Big Hero 6 on HBO or Netflix someday.
My favorite scene: Rocket Raccoon revealing his painful/tortured past in the bar.
My Top 5 Favorite Superhero Movies , 2014 : 1. Guardians of the galaxy. 2. X-Men Days of Future Past. 3. Captain America : Winter Soldier 4. Amazing Spiderman 2. 5. Big Hero 6.
My top 5 superhero movies this year:
5. Big Hero 6
4. Justice League: War
3. Guardians of the Galaxy
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
I loved the unleash the trolls segment.
Please someone rip the live after show and upload it somewhere. Please like this. Ain't nobody got time for live show mang.
Very few people will probably get that Rick Ingraham joke but I totally get it and appreciate it.
Adam Ryen Daniels Ingraham can be found in our Cop Out review
Loved this episode. Ellis is high on something for sure it's awesome.
Cara is my favorite host on GTA V's radio lol!
Didn't expect her to be in a movie... Let alone Suicide Squad. If she has kinda the same personality as she has in GTA V, that would be hilarious!
Edit: Hmmm... DC doesn't want the goofy goofs... Forgot about that..
M4TRIXed Should be interesting!
The only reason Will Smith is in a DC movie is so he can try to get Willo and Jaden as the Wonder Twins. Haha
1.Guardians of the Galaxy
2. Cap 2
3.X-Men Days of Future Past
I love The Winter Soldier, would be the top of my list for sure. However, I do find it odd that it gets so much praise for being a spy thriller within the superhero genre as several other superhero movies have drawn from other genres previously. I rewatched The Wolverine today and it is a great Japanese Mob movie whilst still staying within the superhero genre. Anyone else find think that movie is underrated?
The rest of my list would be Guardians, DOFP, TMNT and then TASM 2 (Big Hero 6 hasn't been released in the UK yet).
Fantastic show guys. Hope you continue with your "Favorite movie of all time by genre" segment.
1. *X-Men Days of Future Past* (Incredible)
2. *Guardians of the Galaxy* (Super fun, Best MCU film since the first Iron Man IMO. It would be number 1 if I was going by replay value)
3. *Big Hero 6* (Fun, Heartfelt and Spectacular, would be number 2 if I was going by replay value)
4. *Captain America Winter Soldier* (Good action flick, I don't like using the term overrated but yeah. A bit. Not much replay value but waaaayyyyy better than the First Avenger, those "God" awful Thor movies and Iron Man 2. On par with Iron Man 3 and Avengers Assemble)
5. *Turtles* (Only thing good was the Turtles, NOTHING else)
Amazing Spider-man 2 has a few good scenes that I would MUCH rather watch than the film in its entirety.
I'm most anticipated for DC's slate starting with Batman V Superman.
TheVideoInvader The favorite movies will come back for sure
Big Hero 6 only comes out in February where I live and I still can't figure out why... I long to see that movie! Anyway, here is my top 3 superhero movies of '14 (because The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles don't deserve to be in a 'top' list):
1. 'Guardians of the Galaxy': The most fun I've had in a theatre since Super 8. It was funny, light-hearted, epic, it had great characters and an amazing soundtrack. I felt like a child for two hours and I can't thank James Gunn enough for that.
2. 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier': I love the spy/thriller vibe that was thrown in that movie. It was refreshing to see something new in a Marvel flick for once. The film took risks and it paid off.
3. 'X-Men: Days of Future Past': The most overrated movie of the year in my opinion, but it was still pretty good and really enjoyable. I'm not a huge fan of the X-Men universe but those movies rarely disappoint.
Great show guys!
Wow! You guys got 19?!! Awesome
Leo Liu 19 what
schmoesknow Seriously, is this JTE replying? Talking about Comicbookgirl19
My top 5 (have not seen Big Hero 6 as it does not come out till January here in Ireland, and don't want to see teenage mutant ninja turtles although I like the original cartoon)
1 Guardians of the Galaxy
2 Captain America TWS
3 X-men DOFP
4 The Amazing Spider-man 2
Guardians of the galaxy is already becoming one of my favourite movies of all time PS keep up the great work guys love the main show and all the other shows on Popcorn Talk Network especially Profiles
I hope the Star Wars trailer makes people like Alicia Malone not judge a cast before we hear or see any info on the particular movie. I thought it was ridiculous that there were people complaining regarding the involvement of black people and women in the new star wars. In the new trailer, we had a black man and a woman who according to several people believe will be the 'Lead' in the new star wars movie. And this was just a teaser...
Borat69able That was my point as well but I got yelled at when I brought it up on last week's show. -KH
finnstock is funny as hell
***** Don't encourage him. ;)
1. X-Men: Days Of Future Past
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
3. Guardians Of The Galaxy
4. Big Hero 6
5. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Nice going big 6
Ken is lethal! If that is what he can do off the top of his head, then be very impressed. Great work Ken!
msyin9 He is a beast!
1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. X-Men: Days of Future Past
3. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (yes I liked it...waits for a group of people to shoot me and kill me)
4. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
5. Guardians of the Galaxy
6. Big Hero 6
10000000. TMNT and TF4
Good job guys, you dedicated an entire segment of the show to giving attention to the trolls -_-
Richard The Chef Word
Haha- Unleash the Trolls is awesome- next time Jon Schnepp is on the show you have to make sure he reads some!
Peter Herff Maybe so!
4. Big Hero 6
3. X-Men: DoFP
2. Captain America: TWS
1. Guardians of the Galaxy
best intro ever
So the aftershow starts 9 pm PST at saturday? I guess I gotta go to timeanddate.com again!
***** Ok, thanks man!
LMAO funny as shit releasing the trolls. Good show freaking love you guys. Guardians was a huge suprize rocket sold it for me. Hope we can see him and tony stark interact in the future.
Mike Perez Thanks Mike!
I recommend watching Spartacus (TV-series). I'm not saying Jai's a great actor, but his best performance was there.
1. Guardians of the Galaxy
2. Big Hero 6
3. X-Men
4. Capt.
5. Spider-Man
6. Turtles
Does anyone know why their wasn't any gmp show this week it's my favorite show on the network
Hassan Khan Macuga and Simeone were out of town, back next week
schmoesknow YES!!!!!
I agree with Mark. :)
From what I've noticed, love for superhero films largely depends on bias (if you're a comic book fan or X-Men fan in particular, you'll love this specific film as long as it stays true to its source material). I honestly don't give a crap about the comic books so the films weren't quality enough to resonate with me on a level that didn't rely on me being a superhero's fan.
The Dark Knight is still the only excellent superhero movie because it doesn't even need you to be a Batman fan (it doesn't depend on classic references and side clues--forgot what that's called). It's just a flat-out great film. These others are just way too comic-booky/Hollywood for my tastes.
Roxy Striar is the best. We need more Amirose in the show she's great.
Thanks for the love!
Top 4 comic book movies.
Haven't seen BH6 yet and I all probably never see TMNT.
4.Tasm 2.
3.Guardians of the galaxy.
2.Captain America Winter soldier.
1.X-Men Days of future past.
My fave moment was plane scene in DOFP,Quicksilver, Magneto picking up the stadium, Groot dancing in GOTG, rocket drunk, Cap and soldier fight in Cap, Nick fury getting shot at scene, and Gwen's death in TASM2.
Best villain : Winter soldier.
Best Hero : Professor X.
Best Fight : Cap and Black widow V Winter Solider.
Top 5 movies:
5. Amazing Spider-Man 2
4. Big Hero 6
3. X-Men: Days of Future Past
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
1. Cap America 2
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
3. Guardians of the Galaxy
4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2(Despite it's flaws)
Haven't seen Big Hero 6
Omg CBG19 on the show! Dreams do indeed come true...
Not many people talk about the fact that there are no shots of outer space in the Star Wars 7 teaser.
I'm sure the full trailers will do but yeah I agree its my only gripe with this teaser because aside from that I love it.
I'm pretty sure they talked aout that on Jedi Alliance lol
PJ Maher I love that -KH
NRB6425 I don't watch/listen to Jedi Alliance.
schmoesknow It's an amazing teaser trailer nonetheless.
My Top Five:
1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
3. X-Men: Days of Future Past
4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
5. TMNT
*Note: I haven't seen Big Hero Six yet, so it isn't on my list.
If Ninja Turtles was considered for the list, than why wasn't Sin City or 300: Rise?
That being said my top 5 would be
5. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
4. 300: Rise of an Empire
3. Captain America: Winter Soldier
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
Not trying to be rude but this is my list and I haven't really liked any of the superhero movies made basically ever so
1. X-Men Days of Future Past (actually really enjoyed it)
2. Captain America The Winter Soldier (overrated but still a decent movie)
3. Guardians of the Galaxy (one of the most overrated superhero movies ever, but I still laughed at moments)
4. Amazing Spider-Man 2 (this movie infuriated me to my core!)
Didn't see Big Hero 6, and will never see Teenage mutant ninja turtles ever because I completely despised the trailers.
Also I know people won't agree with me but I thought that the soundtrack of Guardians wasn't really that good honestly but I also would much rather listen to howard Shore or John Williams than regular music
I'd put Captain America: The Winter Soldier at #1. I was seriously let down with the average (at best) The First Avenger, and was completely blown away in the theater with TWS. It had everything missing from the first film; great dialogue and very exciting action scenes. In the MCU I would place it slightly below The Avengers.
You Stoink Harloff! haha just kidding dude actually I have to agree with Ellis and Foxy this time the terminator trailer wasnt that bad at least made me curious for the movie and will give it a chance.
1. Captain America: Winter Soldier ... a GREAT movie and did an amazing job piecing together the ENTIRE MCU and the Agents of Shield TV show and the past MCU.
2. X-Men: Days of Future Past
3. Guardians of the Galaxy
4. Big Hero 6
5. TMNT (blah)
Looks like Michael Bay directed the show.
Roxy as cross hair
Christian as Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yaeger
Mark as Shia Laboots as Sam Witwicky
Amy Rose as Megan Fox as Mikala Banes
Blue hue as blue hue
And
Bud Light as Bud light
dazza818 Bud Light as Bud Light hahahghahahahahhaa
Is it me or they didnt get the question of the top 5 superhero list? Theres a difference between the top 5 most favorite(for you personaly), and a GOOD top 5 film list.
