I couldn't agree with you more! I have said many times through the years that this was the best live performance I've ever seen! I remember watching it live way back in 1991. I recorded it on VHS and I swear I wore that video out playing it so much. No one could top vintage Mariah! She was in a league of her own.
Most people seem to prefer the Grammy performance, but this here is unbeatable. Mariah only copped this power, soul and musical styling during this one era. It’s almost like she was a totally different artist.
@@jaquen1977 The vocal and emotional intensity she shows in this performance, added to her superhuman talent, have not been surpassed by anyone before or after. If it weren't for the whistle note she hit at the grammys, I'd say this is her best vocal performance, but just for that detail I love both equally. I can't fail to mention that the band and backup singers in this live performance did an incredible job. The overall sound is exquisite.
