I appreciate the respect to Bolivia Tony. I really do think they could surprise us if we don't take them seriously from the first whistle. Ramiro Vaca plays a similar role for them as Gio Reyna for us, given freedom to roam around the field and get creative. They have played him as winger or central midfielder and he is very good with both feet. He nearly had a wonder goal in Copa Libertadores a month ago. Miguel Terceros is another who plays in Brazil for club and is very young having just scored his first goal for Bolivia in the last friendly against Ecuador. Unlike Vaca he relies heavily on his left foot, but has so much potential if he can find his way into the match. More defensively, Gabriel Villamil is another Club Bolivar player currently on loan in Ecuador. He tends to cut out attacks very well, but he's quick tempered so a player like McKennie on him could really shine.
Brian has some good insight, but he has a rosy view of US Soccer (runners up in the Copa lol) and IMO he is too close to the federation to be unbiased. I say this as a huge fan.
@@nerychristian Not sure. Hollywood has been on a milk carton since ISWT ended its run. He's not as "high-profile" as McBride/Meola and maybe CBS wanted bigger names tied to the show? I enjoyed Heath's insight and takes a lot more than the revolving wheel of stand-ins we've gotten since. McBride was an amazing player but his personality is vanilla ice cream and Tony eats it. Boom, roasted.
GGG is NOT going to move Weah to right back. GGG does not try new things. We saw how the team is going to line up in the friendlies against Colombia and Brazil.
@20:20 stop putting Gioin the defensive half or tell him he can't cross the line. @25:00 @Charlie, most times (greater than 50%) GGGs plan is wrong and he doesn't know how to change to make a difference.
Charlie Davies is completely wrong about how he compares teams from South America to the USA. The Euro clubs benefit from signing players from the USA which is done because of the $$$... Bolivia has no impact financially --so a player has to be Special .to get noticed by Euro league...These guys can play...and they are going to pissed off by the arrogance of people like CD! Don't be surprised by these guys...they grew up in the dirt playing futbol...I am not confident at all about the game. Argentina has been beaten by Bolivia in the past. Charlie needs to visit South America...teams have to sign up to play on pitches for openings at 2 am!!! This game is part of SA culture. Don't be surprised if Bolivia starts in low block but changes on ques to full attacks since the USA struggles to recognize changes in the game.
Nothing new with your comments we all know the USA needs to assimilate our youth to play football culture and we are working on this. SA countries have for the most part football as their only professional sport. The USA has 4 times professional leagues, NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL all competing to attract youth to play their sport. MLS Next takes youth soccer to the next level providing youth developmnet.
Still miss Hollywood Heath- hire the man
Agreed. Bring back heath!
What happened to heath? Whys he not on the pod anymore?
@@rayes7331 when they moved to cbs he wasn't included and found out when they announced the show with the rest of us plebs
@@steviereyas2488 heath was 🥱!!! He was boring. He brought his looks but that’s about it! Of course his soccer knowledge but he was boring.
Love the podcast guys! It’s so nice having a good way to keep up with USMNT! Keep up the great work 😁

Meola is a great addition. He has great insight… unlike McBride lol.
🤦🏻♂️

Did Jimmy Conrad leave CBS Sports? I saw Jimmy covering Copa America on FOX Soccer.
I think a lot of the media guys have contracts where they can go between networks for certain events.
Jimmy is a free man. He can't be tied down by any network
Why doesn't he bring on Heath then?

WHAT?!?! JIMMY LEFT?!?!?!
Boy do you guys miss Conrad...
Also I wonder who Tony would prefer for Bolivia's keeper? Viscarra or Lampe?

Why does Pepi get overseen ???
He should be given the opportunity to start. He’s came in clutch.
Hire Tony or Heath
2024 Copa America Semi-Finals: 🇦🇷 vs 🇨🇦 & 🇧🇷 vs 🇺🇸.
Mullet Meola...
vini jr as top scorer lmfaooo
Flo has gotten so much benefit of the doubt. Genuinely has not played better than the other strikers on this roster for the national team
Great stream

dude he said could win the whole tournament. Hes biased and delusional
Yep, Bolivia 6-1 Argentina back in 2009 against Messi and Di Maria on their way up. Marcelo Moreno was very clutch for them.
A country as big as the United States. And we have no one in the entire federation who can be as competent as Sergio Dest?
Brendon aronson = more attack? 😅
Golden generation with a trash coach 😂😂
