I heard this but didn't know where you went! I was in my living room heard you say standing by real loud but he got to ya before i made it to the radio room!
Thanks Steve ,, I did some more menu mic settings and got the little bit of that pinch out that was sometimes there . This Yaesu FT-950 has such a sensitive mic , it’s frustrating . If you’re running power you literally have to turn all mic settings down to about 12%
It has great audio though of course. I have a lot I want to do as far as additions and improvements but I'm trying to stay true to only using money generated outside of my job for my radio addiction. Catch you again soon. ✌✌
Wow that was busy. I thought it was busy out here. Holy smokes .390 was nuts out there. Should do like 251 Henry out here by me. He put his Antron 99 on top of his Beam. I heard 347 talking about the gremlin with the audio when I was watching radiodx1. great contact guys.
When my beam is up, my ground plane is above it but mine has been 8 feet above where Henry said his is like a foot. I talked with him about it and I don't think the beam will effect the ground plane but the radials from the Maco may effect the beam if I had it as low as his.✌✌
@@udx-483muddbucket5 Yes good point. I don't think his Antron has the ground plane kit on it. Did you ever get the chance to ask about the tower and huge beam he got from the old CB shop near us? It was actually in the town I lived in just south of Henry. It was massive. I don't know how he moved it. I believe the beam he uses is modified from the big beam he got.
@@jgmopar I don't think so. I came in on the end of a QSO and heard him mention he had his antenna just above his beam and I asked about that. I was told I needed at least half a wave length between the two which is why I have the sixteen foot mast and I'm considering lessening that. ✌✌
It hasnt been busy out here in northern cal for weeks. Nothing at all .Ive never seen it this quiet here for so long maybe 2 hours on saturday morning and thats it

Yeah, as you can hear it was crazy so we QSY'd and the first was not much better. Dallas couldn't hear everything like I could. ✌✌
