either hit 2 light attacks or 3 attacks followed by a heavy attack, try tapping the buttons at a more slower pace, you might be mashing light attacks and its doing a light combo

Should I hold X for the heavy combo I always press ◾️◾️◾️❎ but I can’t do it why ?

press square twice then x, no need to press three times, hold or tap x shouldnt make a difference
