Can I ask why is this necessary? I bought the gopro11mini, haven’t used it yet but isnt’t is supposed ti record 4:3 or 8:7? I thought vertical mounting was not necessary
Vertical mounting is only necessary if you don't want to crop your video. Both 4:3 and 8:7 are traditional landscape formats and would need cropped and rotated in post.
Ok mine doesn't shoot 9:16 when i roll my gopro on its size could there be a setting on the device that when i turn the go pro side ways it changes the recording to 9:16 please help
@AerialPixel I also order the product because i can use it on my helmet and fpv drone I'm shipping to Portugal and it doesn't seem like a heavy item and it costed 18 dollars were the item was 12 so it was kind of expensive in my opinion all together but thank you for your help and it was ok doing business with you
Unfortunately International shipping is expensive for us here in the USA. Shipping anything not flat (like a letter) starts at around $17US for items between 0 to 6 ounces.

Hi guys what settings should I use i keep shooting horizontal
Look for the orientation lock in your settings. Sounds like it may be locked to landscape.
@AerialPixel I have found them and I unlocked them but when I rotate the device it stay fixed... in 8:7 ideally I wanted 9:16 to share on social media
Rotate your camera to portrait orientation then hit the lock button. Change your resolution to 16:9 and you should be good to go.

Go into the GoPro Quik app and change orientation from LOCKED to ALL.
