Hey March I apologize for the short instructions on how to mount the bracket to the RMS rail. If you remove the small socket cap screw and insert the threaded part from the end of the rms rail you can then bolt the bracket to the rail. One on each end then you can mount the blades using the m8 threads. The wing nut gets flipped around so you can angle the lights after install without any tools.
The Reef Case tanks are gorgeous, I might need one. Loving the new intro, Friday evening is here, Instacart is on the way with groceries, I have to do nothing except have a smart little cocktail and get ready for Canada Day by watching this review on the new AI blades, I am tempted between these and the Neptune Sky. Happy Canada Day all!
New out of the box they are different colors. There’s a plastic filler piece that shrouds the white led on my grow blade so one end is pink and one end is more purple if you use the white led I’ve been waiting weeks, I got a replacement and it’s exactly the same, which proves they do not have any quality control dept. and the fact they told me to just take my light off and send it back for repairs like yeah my tank don’t need a light at all. They really dropped the ball on the blades Problem is they come from China and they assume China tested them But China don’t care They want the money and that’s it. Someone at ai told me they are made in America. Yet my first one was labeled China and the replacement has no label at all. So proudly made they can’t tell you where
How in the world did you have time to upload this! I'm glad i got to see you and the shop. Thank you and Tia!. I can't wait to get my coral home. I wish I had more time to chop it up but hopefully I will come back out again sooner then later! Much love brother.
Im on my third light . Poor light construction one got barley wet . The seal on the end let water in. Another one fried. AI sent me back the wrong light two months later. I got a newer model with the AI blade stamp on it and I can tell it's better constructed , but the customer service is slow. Other than that it's a good light.
Could you talk about deciding to go with a Grow and a Glow instead of 2 of the same? I'm deciding on 2 for a frag tank and am wondering if there are benefits either way. Thanks for all the info! I need a white Fragbox hat!
I could really take that Neptune light off your hands march an company lmao. Jk but on a side note or tangent your channel is honestly the reason I am currently in the process of setting Up myself a reef tank! Aquaknight is currently all I can afford but once tank is cycled an ready to add coral an fish I will most def be shopping thru yous. From a soon to be up North member of your reefing fam🙌🏽🙌🏽
Heya march is there anyway to purchase a reef casa over 25 gallons without the custom cabinets I have some nice ones already and would love to put a tank on them there very very sturdy
I think you'll love them, I've had 3 from start-up on a 150g mixed reef, as well one over a terrarium and the refugium and I've got nothing but stellar opinions and reviews on all of them. I'd waited to get lights until they came out, and had to have them hand carried from the US to South America which was no small feat. Also for those saying the blades are junk, couldn't disagree more and I have a eight Radions in the house to compare from Gen 4-6.
I have 2 grows and one glow on a nyos opus 300, sold my radion gen 6 blue for these, I love them, one negative with grows is the led placements, as one end of the aquarium looks white and the other end looks blue. But its not a massive issue
I have your studio 24 with 2 blades on them. Question for you regarding the tank and using the hms mount you plan to use. Do you think the weight on the glass edge from the lights on the mount is too much or should I not worry? I do like the idea of having them elevated higher than they sit with the included mounts.
I bought two 12 inch grows for my IM 14 peninsula. probably overkill but I intend to have a Crocea in with LPS, and will move both lights to a 25 lagoon in a year. At that time i may also buy a Glow to put in between them as well.
i've been back and fourth on my lighting upgrade, currently running 3 165w vipar spectras on my 220g, sure, coral are all open and seeminly happy, but i want that explosive color, and growth. and option i tossed around was these blades. maybe 2 of the 66s. i also thought gen 5 XR30 pros i can get 3 of them for around $1500 used from a local guy.... decisions
That's not even a close decision. Radions are TEN times better than ang if the others you listed. Get the Gen 5 XR30s and you'll be set forever for anything you want to keep. The AI Blades are junk.
Tia takeovers are okay but I want Tia Tuesdays where Tia does a video of whatever she wants.
My favourite time is Halloween coz Tia has a Halloween party at her house and March videos her tanks while she tells us a bit about them 🥰👊🍻
I will run the idea by her
second that

And I forgot to mention the two smaller brackets are for mounting a single blade using the clips.
I need to get one of these brackets. Where can I order one?
7:58 "We added three massive sand-sifting cucumbers I don't see them right now..." One is dead centre of the frame when you say this. 🤣

@fragbox what are you dosing?
Are they the ai grow or glow or did you have one of each?
Been hearing that the lights are having an issue with a bright side and a dark side after using for a few months… curious what you will experience.
lets see !

I’ve been waiting since April

ooo so early!
Have 12 of the 39" grows above my 2m x 2m marine pond want a couple more though. But so far very happy! Just wall to wall light
Would you run a single XR30 or 3-21" Blades ( 1 Glow, 2 Grow) over a 60 cube (24")?
FRAGBOX TV! 🔥🔥🔥👌🍻🥰
you know it !

You gotta get rid of those Dunkin’s and put SPS there. Your wasting high light space on a coral that doesn’t need that kind of PAR

FYI - there was firmware update that may have finally fixed the ecotech reconnection issue

Lol I was rewarded with the triple F bomb for sticking it all the way through 🤣 still wish you could ship to US!

I have not seen the AI Glows but all the old old school folks i know that seen them sd they remind them of the old true actinic florescent bulbs.
Which blades did you use? Glows , grows or a combination?

Do you have the stands for your reef casa available?

Is the light on the blade more blue at one end ?
Can't wait to see how those lights perform
Did I see the future or is this a repost?
Nice lights!
Thanks.
Are you running 1 glow and 1 grow?
Yup exactly
BRS is a hundred bucks.
I'm a hundred bucks
