I think it is great that two people (you two) that love music so much, found each other. Most (well none) of the girls I play guitar for (I don't gig) can sing (always pitchy) but so what, we have fun. Look over the finger spread (between pointer/index) shown by "him". This finger spread is learned. You can see (well I can tell being another guitar player) it did not come natural. I have terrible pointer/index finger spread but like wearing braces I hope practice provides me with better finger spread. One comment often heard by beginners from more experienced players is "stop trying to strangle the guitar neck,relax more". I do like the guitar playing, especially the finger style Madonna song. That picking pattern was not so easy to master.
