I have one of these 1.5yrs old, I woke up to 0 water in the house this morning, randomly completely clogged I assume (not sure yet), I put it in bypass, and my water works now, but my inlet valve is now Jammed on the right in bypass mode, and wont turn anymore.... -_- . Somehow it caused my well pump to continuously run as at 0 pressure for some reason, and this morning it was leaking from all seals, and switch lines... everything is only 1.5yrs old...I like your videos, ill see what I can find, I already paid these plumbers thousands of dollars before to resolve the massive smell.
Sorry to hear, is your equipment installed before or after your pressure tank? If installed before, the pump would not shut off, which would explain what happened to you. They are meant to be installed after the pressure tank.
I bought the rebuild kit and installed it. I now have water coming out of the air suction line. Not a lot of water but some when it first goes into the backwash cycle.
It sounds like you need to replace the Air Draw Assembly, we have them here waterestore.com/products/clack-fob-c-k-strainer-check-valve-air-intake-assy
I had a UV system installed a few years ago and after seeing your videos it seems the company (now out of business) did it completely wrong. Would there be a way to reach out to you via phone or social media to show you photos of my set up and get a better understanding of how it should be so I can understand my system itself?
Some companies program that in on an annual timer so you will call them for a service call (and charge) that you probably don't need. No need to be concerned. To get rid of it press the next and down button at the same time repeatedly until you get to the end and then turn service reminder off.
I have the Clack ait over media water softener. The company I purchased it from comes annually to service the system last month my water began to have a metallic ir weird smell. It stays on my clothes and skin. It's funny, but my Brita filter seems to make tge water ok. But apparently the water softener is not softening the water. 1. When my system is serviced, do they routinely check the injector, tge little filter etc? With the terrible situation they came and did whatever they do and i leave them alone, so they dont think im just hovering ov e r them. They s came upstairs and said everything is okay and there is nothing they can do. They did a pool test of my tap water and said the ph is fine. I don't know what to do next. The company says they sell a "big blue" filter, but It's not possible financially right now. It was going b to the water lab and get a kit to submit a sample to them to see what is "off" in the water. This is especially difficult for me as I'm 69 years old and am alone. I'm not a wimp, or have serious physical limitations, but I do feel a little helpless because of my lack of knowledge. I've been taken advantage of in the past.Your toughts?
Typically and air over media system is not a water softener, it is an iton and or sulphur filter. You woudl need to ask them exactly what they do during the service. If the injector was clogged you would get a metallic smell. I would check with them.
This will only happen during the air draw or "Brine Cycle" If it does not draw the bleach then your injector is clogged and needs to be replaced first. This video will help ua-cam.com/video/pjlBYtixwUM/v-deo.html
Sorry to hear. What differentiates one system from the rest is what is inside the tank. If your system has one tank that uses salt, that is a water softener which will not get rid of the sulphur smell. You need a sulphur filter like one of these waterestore.com/search?q=foc if you have a sulphur filter and it isn’t working it might need service, check this out ua-cam.com/video/pjlBYtixwUM/v-deo.html
@@water_estore My system has 3 tanks. 2 tall black ones and a medium tan colored one. Which I believe to be the hot water. It also has a 55 gallon clear plastic tank that does absolutely nothing the water is turning green. So you’re in front of the system facing it, the two tall black tanks are on the left-hand side directly to the right of it is the tan hot water one. to the right of that is the motor the compressor on the floor. Behind the compressor is the third black. It looks like in the garbage can that’s where we put it the salt in and to the left of that behind the two tall black pigs is that 55 gallon water tank and that’s how the system looks. It’s only 10 months old. It was built brand new, I have no idea how to fix it and the smell is making everybody delirious and sick to the stomach. Hopefully th allow you to help me fix this it’s unbearable.
Excellent, and insightful - thank you

My clack valve on my iron filter is blinking "call" should I be concerned? How do I make it stop? Thanks!

When should I use potassium permanganate? Instead of bleach?
Ideally never. Only if you have Greensand media do you use Potassium Permanganate.
I am unable to get the tube to take in the javex what can I do

My iron filter has Filter-At media. Would it be safe to flush that out with some bleach?
I have never heard of that media in an iron filter. Better check with the manufacturer first.
Stupid spell check. The media is Filter-Ag @@water_estore
Yes, Filter-Ag should be finw with the bleach.
I have the system behind you. My home smells so bad we cannot bear it. We are leaving to a hotel
