I had abdominal surgery a few years ago. The surgery was pre-planned, and the recovery period was about 3 and a half months. I had a very long "do not do" list from my doctor. No lifting or carrying, no heels, loose clothing, no travel, and a lot of rest. That's just a few from the list. Catherine has been as forthright and honest about this, and there is no need for her to say anything further. I wish the media would just back off and leave her be.

I had minor abdominal surgery 3 years ago and could hardly walk, lift and uncomfortable dressing up, so I have respect for Catherine and letting her have her time to heal properly and be with her children and William to recover.

I had major abdominal surgery in November. I had to use mobility devices for 2 months. I still can't walk properly even though I'm healing properly and on schedule.

As a person who suffered through several abdominal surgeries I can attest that Princess Catherine needs to rest. Firstly, it’s very painful to have this type of surgery. Secondly, it’s exhausting and lastly, depending on why she had surgery, she could suffer from adhesions and internal injuries from overdoing. I am so sad for her! She’s been through enough and needs to be permitted to be “sick in peace”! I have been foolish and overdid after one surgery and suffered the consequences. Shame on anyone who keeps harping on her!
I used to think Megan Kelly was professional but on one of her programmes a few days ago she had a segment on Princess Catherine which was really disappointing, mean-spirited and petty to the extreme. I will never watch her again. Nasty woman.

I think Catherine has played a blinder, because throughout all this ridiculous nonsense about her health and photograph, she has maintained a glorious mystique and still, the world is talking about her as such. That is one of the biggest draws to Royalty, where Meghan has exposed every aspect of her flawed personality. While I don’t live in Britain, I was born there and I am a monarchist from birth. The British people celebrated the life of the queen in every town and village. If I lived there I would be doing the same thing for princess Catherine. I have an autoimmune condition - inflammatory bowel disease (crohns colitis) - & was in hospital for 29 days, with an IV & nothing to eat for 3 weeks to heal & rest my intestines. After getting out of hospital, I still had to stay home from work recuperating for another nine weeks - and I managed to avoid the surgery. I immediately thought of all this when I first heard of Catherine’s hospitalization. I hope she’s not suffering from this difficult condition too and I wish her a speedy recovery
I hope you are now doing well. I also have experience with an autoimmune issue that could cause a lengthy recovery during a flare up. But, in Catherine’s situation, the RF has been vague about her condition only mentioning an elective abdominal surgery. Although most of us agree that people deserve a certain amount of privacy when undergoing medical treatment, a more specific explanation may have prevented some of the speculation. I hope that she is back to her normal activities come Easter, but if not, the RF needs to come clean with the public or continue to face increasing speculation.

He didn’t even watch the recipients of his mother’s awards and then comes in hours later with his video call. So disrespectful - not only to her memory but to her legacy. Diana would be so ashamed of the person Harry has become. Just when I think Harry can’t stoop any lower, he proves me wrong.

I am American. I totally understand why Royals, famous people, Aristocrats, etc. don't wear a wedding band. All and sundry know that they are married. William and Catherine's marriage was watched by millions. Any people questioning why William isn't sporting a band are just ignorant.

I sometimes forget to put mine on when I leave the house. I garden and do stuff--things that are hard on rings. Not wearing a ring after surgery is NOT a big thing.
My husband doesn’t wear a ring. We had a double ring ceremony but he didn’t wear it to work so just stopped even thinking about.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has always seemed a lovely person to me, inside and out. I have never seen any malice in her, but love for her husband and children and a strong sense of duty. She knew what she was getting into, and respects the Monarchy and Great Britain and the Commonwealth to the extent she always does her best and gives her best. She understands what Queen Elizabeth II was all about and was willing to learn from he. She will do well in public service, as she has done. She is a human being being with a human body, and she just needs time to recover from her illness. She will always shine and she knows the choice she made. I am grateful that so many members of the public have come forward and asked that she has time to do the same. No one likes this strange bullying, which originated from social media from people who know absolutely nothing. She will come back and continue to blow everyones' socks off, as she always has done, when she has recovered. She is not a quitter, and very clearly hs the support of the United Kingdom. Normal people understand she is ill and recovering. Many of us have had serious health issues our abdominal surgeries that really come out of nowhere and bring you down. But only for a while. That is life for most people.

There was another photo taken by a professional photographer a couple of years ago when the children were younger. It was in one of the newspapers today and when I looked closer at it, Catherine isn’t wearing any rings in that photo either, so she obviously doesn’t wear her rings when she is relaxing at home or out in the garden with the children. Can you imagine if she lost Princess Diana’s engagement ring, she’d be vilified by the press!! They are probably locked in a safe when she isn’t on duty.
