Guys Canada here, the ducks are on their way. The sky here was full of ducks. I've never seen so many. BTW if you can take out some Canadian geese while you are at it we would appreciate it. Thanks
And, to set y’all straight-all of Illinois did NOT vote for Brandon! Most of those votes were from the big city on the lake. Thanksgiving-in addition to traditional thanksgiving dinner, we add venison or elk roast, oyster dressing & of course lots of PIE!!! Happy thanksgiving DCR!
If you never tried homemade buttermilk pie its to die for.. also homemade cream cheese banana bread.. 🔥🎯🔥 Never drank buttermilk but don't let the name fool or discourage you.. it's sweet and delectable..
Ugh yet agaiN Si is my soul twin . 4 pounds of dressing (That with gravy🏆) √ Geesh we might as well have the same name Si. We got *so* much in common with personality. I hadnt been to Vietnam though! Dudeman is right about mac n cheese though ....its 'meh" no matter how you make it. Pumpkin pie obliterates 'sweet potato pie'. Key lime. Coconut. Kentucky derby pie(fudge)🏆. Pecan. Actually in Kentucky I would say the dressing with gizzards in it is number one believe me. *Tell* *em* *Si* *about* good *fruitcake.* Yet again. GLORY TO GOD.
Turkey, ham, potatoes with gravy, moms fruit salad, stuffing and hot rolls, then finger food of olives, celery with cheese whiz on it and dill pickles! Mmmmmmm
I live in Oregon ( mashed potato lies) but born in Louisiana. That Louisiana food has never left my mind. Louisiana has the best food and there's no argument about it. When anyone asks what to do in Louisiana, I say eat!
I would love to visit Louisiana and honestly just eat. Nola (not during Mardi Gras) and other places in the state and try all the things. Find the best boudin and gumbo, try something I've never had before and just get fat. I'd love to do that as a vacation.
New Mexico here….we love Turkey, Cornbread Dressing, Sweet Potatoes, Mac and Cheese etc. JD, you obviously don’t know anything about this beautiful Land of Enchantment!
We actually had roast this year for Thanksgiving cooked with potatoes and lots of garlic in a pressure cooker and it was really good. We also had honey roasted carrots , baked beans and yeast rolls. The meal was excellent. The plan is having duck for Christmas and turkey for new year's this year. Also I have never liked eggs runny at all until this year. I spent 28 years of my life missing out on the glory that is an egg cooked medium with some toast and grits and dipping the toast in the runny yolks. So good.
Minnesota man here. Ive never seen one of those trays on thanksgiving in all my 52 years. Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, homemade bread, gravy, and many types of pies.
I'm from Oklahoma, and I have never heard of anyone here serving baked potatoes for Thanksgiving...I love baked potatoes, but not something I would consider having for Thanksgiving.
My family has Italian in it and from New Jersey so we eat lasagna plus sweet potatoes (yams), mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, turkey (or ham)... never had stuffed mushrooms in my life... must be 'Medigans who eat that lol No offense.
As a representative of Tennessee I can concur that hash brown casserole is very delicious, however, I enjoy getting in on those deviled eggs for Thanksgiving
From Delaware still live here. Unfortunately northern Delaware makes decisions for the rest of the state. Southern Delaware is completely different. Bring on the Turkey man!!!
To be fair, a couple of other states chose dressing, but called it "stuffing". For me cornbread dressing is the main side dish for Turkey day! I think some of these "polls" are not completely representative for most people!
Si- I understood you. Over here, we don't mess with canned cranberries. We gently cook whole cranberries, just til soft, add some sugar and they make thier own sauce. Awesome with the Turkey and Stuffing. 👍
Gar is yet another colloquialism of ours. Gar fish are often regarded as trash fish. Therefore by extension if we call it a gar then it’s something we don’t care for

I’m from Alabama and yes we love sweet potato casserole (no marshmallows), but it’s not Thanksgiving dinner without cornbread dressing.
What does it’s “a gar” mean?
I have the same question!
Gar is yet another colloquialism of ours. Gar fish are often regarded as trash fish. Therefore by extension if we call it a gar then it’s something we don’t care for
@@JMartinduckman , thank you! I tried to google it but the definition did not fit the context of your sentences! 🙂
