Sisters of Battle fan here! Sisters are known to be able to perform “miracles” through their faith in the Emperor. Sometimes in manifests in a believed to be impossible shot lands in a critical spot on an enemy. Other times it is healing what should have been a mortal wound. One time a Sister of battle parried a strike from a greater demon of Khorne that should have turned her to mist (she immediately died to the second strike though). These miracles manifest randomly but often enough they can’t be coincidence. Sisters of Battle are both incredibly deep in lore and extremely fun on the tabletop!
Explaining the red helmet thing. Space marines usually have differerent colored helmets to denote the rank of a battle brother. The colors depends on the chapter, but for the Ultramarines, the space marines in the trailer, the red helmet is the helmet of a seargent, the guy in charge of a squad of space marines. Other colors include white helmet for veterans, red helmet with a white stripe for a veteran seargeant, blue helmet with a red and white stripe for lieutenats.
And deeper into that hole: Originally it was a symbol of shame and punishment. Before Horus Heresy started one of the Sergeants of Ultramarines legion proposed to commence training of Marine on Marine combat. It was unheard of and was seen as a preposterous idea. A red helmet was part of his punishment. But then happened Heresy, especially the brutal Battle of Calth between Ultramarines and Word Bearers. Seargant successfully used his proposed tactics and showed great courage and honor. For that Ultramarines changed the meaning of the red helmet to one of honor and rank.
Now that you've seen the 9th edition trailer, you have to go and see the Horus Heresy one. When Space Marines fought in legions of 100,000 instead of chapters of 1,000.
Necron weapons use power from stars to disintegrate what they hit by the molecular level. Sisters, when they pray, sometimes perform miracles. Healing or summoning saints for help. Ultramarines with red helmets signify them being a Sergeant. It used to be a mark of shame, but a hero in the horus heresy saved a planet, and the helmet was turned into a mark of deeds.
9th edition trailer was the best trailer I have ever seen. It was what made me want to play Warhammer 40k, and now I am the proud owner of an Adepta Sororitas army.
6:00 yup, Sister of Battle can operate miracles by pure Faith in the Emperor, you may like to check their lore =) Like others have already sugested, Bricky's video explainig the factions are a great entry point, but be warned that some info will be lacking [on purpose] , the video on the Timeline is a good follow up [also by Bricky] and he also have one on the Space Marine Legions [will make more sense after the factions video and timeline], after that you can actually start deep-diving on other content creator of Warhammer lore [Luetin09 is the most deep-dive, with 1h long videos on specific subjets] and that will be easy if you have something specific in mind that you want to learn, that's why Bricky's videos are a great entry point since they are a very condensed shallow overview of what Warhammer can offer you, checking the many trailers of games is also nice, new editions of the tabletop game have nice trailers too and some of the other video games [Dawn of War have nice trailers] 🔥
I highly urge you to watch Bricky's Every 40k Faction Explained video for more basic context on most of the major factions in the setting. As for the Space Marine with the red helmet, he's a Sergeant for the Ultramarines so he's in the same sub-faction as Lieutenant Titus and his squad, the red helmet just signifies his rank. There's a deeper meaning to the red helmet in the lore but I wouldn't want to make this comment longer than it already is 😅. But yes, that is an Ultramarine sergeant, and please react to Bricky's Every 40k Faction Explained video next for more context so you'll have more basic information when watching cinematics going forward. 👍🏻
You want some lore/backstory on Warhammer 40k?…Well look up Bricky warhammer 40k factions explained… it’s a little out of date, but it’s both entertaining and informative…. Oh and good luck, finding your way out of the rabbit hole.
Indeed it is, Emma Gregory is the VA's name, she narrates a lot of Adepta Sororitas Novels and plays Saint Celestine in the audio drama Our Martyred Lady
I just realized that the Ultramarines lore isn’t displayed on the site except under the “space marines” tab lol so generic and boring they don’t get their tab HAH take that Rowboat Girlyman (inside joke not directed at you content creator)

Outstanding comment 🫡
The Adepta Sororitas are just so much fun to play and I find them very fascinating in the lore. And I mean they have the coolest tank.
