Whats the best thing a mage can use to break things like doors and defense buildings? I started playing a few days ago so all this stuff is still new to me. Ik fire is good for anything wood but there is so many options available that it seems maybe something else could be better?
No you run naplamn and wind trap ,its great for core defense, you napalm around your core and wind trap around the napalm, when they burn running they hit the wind trap after.Also if I pick one its napalm the demo on it is insane at high levels works well with fog

As far as I can tell any thing able to be placed goes away after dying. Thats a good point though, I forgot about that.

The best way to run napalm aggression is with flashstep, you blink drop bombs on the front line blink out and detonate
