I love this video ❤the music is dope af.. I’ve never owned or got into sampling with an mpc… but its sonic characteristics have always amazed me. Much respect for your craft …
you can upgrade these older mpcs with the zulu card. (it emulates the scsci hds of the mpc into virtual ones) gives u much better file mangagement over an sd card. (did it with my 2000 xl, its a big difference)
2000xl user since year 2000. As a sampler it's basic it really shines as a midi sequencer song mode is awesome, swing is awesome. I have the fx board and it's not all that great. Sp404 would be better suited for sample manipulation. Cheers!
I love my MPC2000. I still have my original one I bought in '97 with 8 outs & SMPTE fully maxed out but no effects. I own 2 of them nowdays along an MPC One. I will not get rid of them. My drums sound more solid and hard on the MPC2000 compared to the MPC One. I still have the floppy in it, but I ended up buying a SCSI SD card reader for it which is nice to have.
I’m gonna say He’ll yeah the 4K and Linn editions have the best sound this one has the best sound and ease of use . If you know how to really rock samples the 21 seconds mono is plenty. As far as chopping samples it’s super fast when you know what you’re doing. The sound murders most modern software set ups because the sounds actually are there if you sampled right
This is the on the list of MPC, i have absolutelt no interest in using. But it is one of the dopest sounding MPCs . I like how the pads are on the right side hand side. Lol
@@re-sampled with the exception of the name (I personally hated the name “Force”) I felt with the Launchpad/Push layout was the logical way to go for the MPC. Along with the touch screen, and (I could be wrong about this one) ability to hold hard drives, makes it ideal for a dawless setup.
@@sawtooth808 yeah I have to say when you pair the force with some of the older hardware as like a trackout sequencer you can get the best of both worlds.
I’ll say no too, but I’ll give reasoning. If you already own a 2k keep it, and you don’t need an mpc Live/One/etc. If you already have a newer mpc you also don’t need a 2000. If you’re getting your first mpc. I would suggest a One+ new. There’s just less headaches and investment in a One. Especially when buying new. I have owned a 2000/500/One+
@@re-sampled The 2000 was my first mpc. I got it in 2001! I had a lot of fun with it. It had the eb16 fx card but no 8 outs. I used to run it into a alesis nano compressor, and it thumped 👍 I still have the compressor. I will have run the mpc One+ into it sometime.
Great video!
thank you very much

Great videos, please keep them coming!🙏🏼
Thank you, will do
super interesting. only feedback would be to please not use that awful background noise again. cheers
What is the noise in background? Unwatchable for me.
apologies, its a 3d printer. feel free to check out a different video
Okay no worries. It was meant as constructive feedback and I’m glad to hear it wasn’t an intentional part of the “vibe” you were going for 👍

agree!

thats a good tip
Yes you can My 2000 had the SD floppy emulator upgrade by HXE but it’s same concept

If you look at it as a big sp404 it becomes more usable lol
People, you _can_ get the disk drive swapped out for a usb floppy disk emulator, I believe GoTekk makes these
yeah your right I think mine is a gotek
Hotel, Zulu and Hxc . If you willing to pay shipping cost or in the LA area Bruce Forat will hook it up for you .
I actually recommend Forat over anybody there’s ppl who machines he worked on that are still running 30 years later

yeah they weren't that great
Click of death 😅😅

@@jae6220 the force is actually incredible
@ I have one it gets the job done. Wish they kept it current with the mpc.
I think they are, if you try the mpc3 beta it’s super similar to the force os. Hopefully they will streamline

No, I shouldn't. 😂
It's far too bulky and primitive for ME.
That’s fair. It is pretty bulky and primitive
That's what I love about it.
