- Unbelievably, Hyundai actually allowed me to modify one of their press cars...
The catch? We have to use Hyundai-approved parts. But that won't stop Jacob and I from absolutely SMASHING the Hyundai i30 N - one of our FAVOURITE hot hatches of all time - around the racetrack to test out whether modifying the i30N is really worth your cash!

32 psi, warm them up, 2500rpm launch & watch the time drop massively. I own an i30n hatch and speak from experience. Loved the upload!

Needs an intercooler upgrade , your lap times will be more consistent with less heat soak.

Does modifying the i30N void the Hyundai Warranty? also:- Driving on the 'Hume F31 (in another turbo i30) I passed Winton twice last week en route Melbourne Canberra and reverse. I said to my wife. "I think they still use Winton." My first saw view of 'Winton' was back in 1961. [ps. I'm not a 'car sport enthusiast' mainly suburban with occasional long trips..]

I enjoyed that video Matt and Jacob, thank you. I have a 2022 6 speed manual i30N hatch along with my just recently delivered 6 speed manual Mustang GT and my F80 M3 Competition. I got the i30N bug because of your first review of the 6 speed manual, I did some further research and bought one the same week. In normal day to day urban and even city driving with only a mild degree of juvenile hoonery, I think the i30N is one of the quickest point to point cars around, its just so chuckable at roundabouts and everywhere. Now that it is to be discontinued, I will treasure my N even more.

What is an i30 performance?
Australia only gets the Performance, we dont get the base car
Hey Tav, pre face-lift we only received 1 variant of the i30 N and it was called the Performance. Now with the Facelift we have 2 variants, i30 N and the Premium.
@@MrQwerkles pre facelift also had 3 variants.
Base car (Not available in Aus) had 250hp and no LSD, i30N Performance had 275hp and LSD and Premium is a Performance with a nicer interior
Hey RyMac, I always understood that in Aus we only received the N Performance and had a Luxury Option pack which added a panoramic sunroof, heated seats and electric seats?

Queue is English for "arrange or form a line"
What they actually meant in the video is "cue" which means "to signal something to begin"
Have you got a comparison i30n hatch v sedan? Btw when you get a red i30 n I wish they made the Hyundai blue accents on the outside 😅 either way nice mods mate
