As a woman I found one public derogatory comment about the immensely talented, breathtakingly beautiful and superb actresses Smita Patil, was totally inappropriate and highly offensive. In today's times, a mother would have fought for the custody of her only daughter in the same circumstances rather than just tearfully walking away. A modern looking Indu (Tina Munim) too allows herself to be used by Kabir. With the faithful househelp gone too, she meekly obeys, "jaao jaake gudiya ko sambhaalo" just after Kabir says a little while earlier about Indu to Nisha "Woh ek sundar saleekedaar aurat hai jise mard ko khush rakhna aata hai!!". Demotion from lover to nanny in a remarkably short time!! I can't imagine this happening in today's times :-) Autres temps, autres moeurs (with time, mentalities change) maybe.
