The look on the faces of the Oklahoma fans was priceless. My wife and I grew up in Eastern OR with Zabaransky's folks. I saw a few of them in the crowd.
The funny thing that I remember about watching this game live was that Boise State Dominated OU on the first half and we're manhandling them up and down the field and led something like 26-10, then they got conservative in the second half and LET Oklahoma back in the game and they eventually went ahead making for a very exciting finish. I still believe that If Boise State hadn't gotten conservative and tried to just protect their lead instead of remaining aggressive as they were in the first half, this game actually would have been a blowout
@@corycarter4689 it’s like when people haven’t moved on from high school and are still wearing their lettermens jacket and will argue that west side high school is the best school because they have the most state championships even though they are 65 and about to retire. At some point, you grow up and move on from the glory days. Even Ian Johnson did. He’s now an insurance salesman and you’ll occasionally see him around town with his kids.
