I have been dealing with something similar and I involved my mamu who did not support me and my parents were much less understanding than yours and much more abusive so you should definitely be grateful for your extended family and Allah as you are so lucky!

Even if we ignore the love aspect, different personalities actually make you GROW AS A PERSON.
Because of you he gets to have unique experiences and a different outlook on life which he would never really have otherwise and vice versa ♥️ if he had the same interests and personality, yes it would have been fun but none of you would see another perspective or grow as a person or experience different things.

I heard somewhere that sunnis have a different nikkah and shias perform nikkah differently? Is this true? And mostly in intersect marriages the couple gets nikkah done twice (each time in their own specific ways)?
