Hey man How were you able to swap mounts freely while in the air? around 3:10 you switched from jackal to glider to griffen. i havent been able to switch mount in the air at all
it's a skill on the skill bar that's tied to a mastery level, I think it's called like bond of trust or something, you pair it with the one that saves you from falling (griffon and skyscale) if you pay attention you can see him use it, the second set of wings after he dismounts is his glider.
Late reply, but for anyone else reading this (I assume OP already knows the answer) you will have access to raptor, springer, skimmer, jackal, Warclaw and griffon if you own Path of Fire. Living World Season 4 has roller beetle and skyscale End of Dragons has Siege Turtle Secrets of the Obscure also gives a lesser version of the skyscale (it doesn’t have all skills)
Just started playing before dragon bash, and boy howdy... Not having a mount makes it hard to keep up. I just hit lvl 80 on a free account and I'm probably going to buy an expansion(s) just for the mount. As a guardian main, which expansion should I buy first?
@@SSwizzyMusic if it helps, the core game (and the first expansion Heart of Thorns) is meant to be played without mounts, so you’re actually getting the best experience for the game that way. A lot of the base game’s little vistas or puzzles are trivialized if you have the mounts. I made a second account some time ago and honestly going through it again without mounts was a blast! So don’t rush with getting mounts, take your time enjoying the base game, since you only get to experience a game the first time once :)
In all honesty, you aren't actually supposed to even play the first 4 DLCs of the game (living world season 1, season 2, Heart of Thorns, season 3) with mounts at all (let alone core game lol) and in fact having mounts does take away some of the fun experiences and trivializes parts of the gameplay. You aren't getting the full experience if you start off with mounts. The fact that they're already giving you a raptor at level 10 (when previously it was only meant to be a lvl 80 thing at the 5th DLC that's Path of Fire) is already honestly super generous. So if you aren't able to buy any expansions yet, that's actually great since you get to really enjoy the game in its most original and authentic state^^
As a new player, thanks for the rundown!
I rushed to complete the A New Friend achievement for the AA and oh boy having a skyscale is such a huge QOL bump.
Game changer
How long did it take ?
@@IRedpunk If you have all the gold and material, then max a day. Thats how long it took me. If you don't then you can be looking at up to 12 days
@@xGuiders even for a complete noob that has yet to level his first 80 lvl char? will it really only take 12 days for a fresh, first-ever 80 player?
@@adolfdassler7857 I think the game has much to offer, just enjoy it :v
Thanks for the guide I was really lost where to begin!
Anytime my guy
Thanks for the guide. I just need the Griffin and Roller Beetle to complete my mount collection.
Happy I found your account man, great video!!
Happy you found the vid useful man!
Keep grinding, GW@ videos on fire atm
TIME TO SHINE!
Rejoice!
I love skyscale, but also love griffon. Skyscale is sort of helicopter, while griffon is a jet plane
Great guide!
thanks bro

How many of these mounts are available if you only have the Heart of Thorns/Path of Fire bundle?

@@AzarathMetreon Oh gosh, glad to have helped then^^
wasnt the raptor mount a lvl 80 path of fire unlockable thing ? or was it changed with end of dragons to learn it automaticly after lvl 10 ?
one more thing, you must have a Jackal to open a Scyscale
Thanks for the video
No problem!
How do you get mastery points without using jackals, sprinter, or anything without using flying mounts it's hard to upgrade my raptor

As a guardian main, which expansion should I buy first?
Path of fire is the basic mount expansion whic is useful for many ocassion pathof fire and heart of thorns it is combo pack when i bought it.
also 2 elite specs which is very good
Heart of thorns and path of fire are both in reduction, 2 extznsions for less than 10€, very good value.
Wait, I'm lvl 40 now and I only get to experience the raptor mount once when I was lvl 10. How do I get it for free?
You need PoF expansion
@@da835t thanks I just got it now after walking across the Map til I'm lvl 80 lol
You should have mentioned that everything you show is locked behind some side requirements. Which you not easily just do...
Wait so I can't unlock any mounts without buying an expansion?
That’s the real question 💀 I’m trying to fully f2p this game before I buy any expansions
That’s correct u must buy the expansion to get mounts

Skiff?
Would have been nice if I added this. But that would be a debate on whether its a mount or not xD
for anything in gw2 you need a expansion ...
