Greatest Performance Ever. How many people here have watched this masterpiece over and over and have lost count ? I am in the 500+ range so far and stills hits the soul the same . There are some artists out there that have certain traits that puts them at the top of their game but there is no one that can top Lara Fabian . Towing that fine line between the low and high notes and singing from the soul puts her in a league of her own. Lara Fabian a gift to the world 🌎 💯😂

Definitely. I knew of the song, but this version/performance is something else.
Moreover, we could have heard a song when we were kids and haven't really understood the beauty in it.
Then we hear it again now, thanks to the Ytb algorithm, and we suddenly percieve how it's amazingly sung, what the lyrics really mean, and why it's a so great performance.
As I did for this song : I heard it while around ten years old and was like "OK she's powerful but yelling "I'm sick I'm sick" is not so beautiful to me. She seems to overdo it. Little boring because of the repeated yelling."
And now I'm like "Wooooow she is in total control and at the same time she is so emotional, it's incredible master singing ! Just incredible how good this is"

I can't get enough of this performance. The control of which she sings that one line is breath taking. You find yourself pausing to hear each note as they blend into each other. She becomes some immersed in her delivery to audience; it's actually a good minute after the song ends when we see her return from character. Absolutely beautiful...I cry every time...

Omg, the thing she told about the language barrier… it resonates so much with me. I’m a Ukrainian immigrant living in England and sometimes during my performances people ask me to do some songs in my language. I always did my favourite folk songs that are usually quite tragic, especially these days. And I was shocked when some people started tearing up. The language barrier does not limit sincere emotions, that’s so true and I’m so thankful for those words.
There is no one in this entire world that can sing this song better that Lara Fabian. She is unique and 100% truly singer and beside she is so beautiful that make you listen every second and look ate her every second of this song!

I have listened to this song literally hundreds, if not thousands, of times - this version and many others. Yet, seeing peoples reactions to their first time hearing it brought back that experience for myself. Lara Fabian is one of a kind and her voice is a gift to us all.

This is one of my favourite songs as well. I love Dalida's performance, too.
I've known this version for many, many years and it still moves me every time I watch it. There is another rendition out there, from the 2003 "En toute intimité" concert, that is even more gut-wrenching than this. Sometimes I wish I could erase my memory of it, so I could watch it for the first time, over and over again. The first time I saw it, I bawled my eyes out. It never stops amaze me how people have not heard of her before until now. This concert is from 1999!!! Been her fan over 20 years. Lara has been closest to perfection as any human can be as an singing artist. There has been none before her and i truly believe it will take forever for someone as brilliant to been born. She is in her artistry same level as Rossini in composing opera, Mozart composing symphonies or Newton in fysics or Leonardo Da Vinci in his art. There are bunch of good singers nowadays and singers who has quite good voice or range. And few singers who can express a feeling or put her or his soul into the performance. But NONE who has it all. Except this lady. And what a human being she is. So beautiful inside out. This is easily one of top 5 vocal performances ever recorded live. 4 others are from that same concert.
I was introduced to LF about 14 years ago and was absolutely dumbfounded why this incredible singer isn’t right up there with Celine Dion and Lady Gaga, who, as talented as they are, are not even close to being in the same league as Lara. This is my favorite performance of Je suis malade, but it’s the first time I saw the subtitles … I never knew the full translation before and the imagery in the words is even more haunting that I imagined.

This brings tears to my eyes (lost my brother in March and my mother in October of 2021) and chills to every fiber in my body every time I listen to this song in this version! I bought her self titled cd then too and was blown away. But lost touch with her until a few years ago when I rediscovered her again on UA-cam. And as great as she was on recording, her live performances are another thing entirely. Her ability to convey and evoke emotion is unsurpassed. And my god, her physical beauty...shockingly stunning!
