Why is it that when someone moves out of a haunted house, that the next people who move in don't seem to have a problem?? 🤔 either they are taking the ghosts with em or else it was bogus all along??
Depends on which home... some often do... sometimes those that don't could be the people that are haunted, often an object, or a manifestation of a family's shitty issues and emotions. Your question may seem like a simple question that someone ignorant to the theories of hauntings could simply say "bam! Solved!" However once you learn more about the different theories the more you learn it simply isn't that easily explained away
Truth Hurts Not always true though. It may be that the new inhabitants are psychically closed. Some people are sensitives others are not. Another explanation is that the entity is attached to the family or a member of it and follows them and that the house is situated where supernatural events are magnified. Theories all but possibilities since we don’t have much research. As for the hallucination theory, if more than one person sees the same thing then this diagnosis becomes a little more difficult to explain. The group hallucination theory is just that, as no psychologist can verify it.
@@markkettlewell7441 I agree and will add this, if a home is spiritually cleaned by qualified people such as the Warren's and clergy then there shouldn't be anything left to experience for new owners.
Latasha Moore I suppose it has a lot to do with ‘qualified’. The Warrens and ‘some’ of the clergy might be more accurate. There are a lot of religious elders that don’t truly believe in demonic presences or ghosts. Often It’s not something In their traditions. So a half hearted cleansing can lead to spirits remaining, and incredibly peed off ones to boot. It is very difficult to remove entities from locations, especially when some have been there for eons. Some places are just bad and should be avoided for habitation. We could take a leaf out of the native peoples experiences. If they say a place is bad medicine then we might want to listen to them. Jesus knows demons exist and being a Christian personally I would not discount them as people are won’t to do in our modern scientific age. Many other faiths have demons and ghosts, not just Christianity. There is a common thread to our humanity and our shared heritage memory. Just because science cannot find evidence of these things yet doesn’t mean they won’t in future times. Best to cleanse with strong ritual and stronger belief. I think at the moment only the RC church has rituals for this.

I was a tour guide in Washington, DC, and also worked security at the National Archives. Cats were brought into the government buildings in the 1800s to catch and/or chase the mice and rats away. There is a story that one of the cats could not be found and that he still roams the halls of the capital. Interesting tale.

Ed and Lorraine Warren were liars, quacks, and hucksters. Period. Lorraine in particular ALWAYS found "demons" no matter where she looked. Maybe it was a poison on her own soul. Thank the gods that both are now dead and can't hoodwink vulnerable people who are scared any longer. Lorraine Warren fits the definition of a pre-demon by her own definitions. She was never up to any good and was always looking to profit from other people's fears. Most religions don't have "demons" and in the US the groups who really go all-in on the notion are Catholics and Evangelicals.

I’m very glad to hear that you’re doing better- that’s a genuinely terrifying thing to experience. I’m 45 and have had 3 spinal surgeries due to a bad car accident in 2000 which has left me unable to work. Over the years, I’ve had other major health problems that resulted in my having to use a great number of different medications, and some of them caused some very strange side effects. I’ve had insomnia for years, and was originally prescribed Ambien. I had to learn of this from my wife, because I have zero recollection of it, but if I ever took it and was longer than 10 minutes in actually getting into bed, I would act as if I was on hallucinogens, seeing and responding to many strange things that apparently only I could see, I would answer questions with frightening nonsense, and generally do very odd things that made no sense and had no logical purpose. If I was in bed when I took it, however, I would just fall asleep quickly with no strangeness! I have since been prescribed Seroquel, and using either that or Benadryl has been much better in getting to sleep with no worries about acting strangely. I have also had some odd “blackout” type of events from different pain medications and muscle relaxers, but not to the same extent. Sorry for such a long comment- I just wanted to say that you’re not alone in having those kinds of side effects, and that I’m genuinely happy that you’re feeling better. I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy- be careful out there!

For the meat falling from the sky thing, think of it like this, tornadoes pick stuff like that up right?? It's gotta come back down somewhere, and I don't think it will come back down right where it was picked up from right???!!!?? Anybody catching my drift??!!! 🤯😵😂🙄
I can't imagine a tornado picking up a group of horses, goats, cattle, humans and bear and then ripping them into 2" pieces and dropping them miles away - for an hour - in one small area. Or worse that there was a huge pile of 2" pcs of flesh that was picked up and then dropped. Vultures maybe. They vomit when startled or as a defense (very, very effective btw). But for an hour? Seems a stretch.
I thought about tornadoes myself. My grandmother lived miles from a city that got ripped apart by a tornado when she was a little girl and a perfectly clean stack of folded cloth diapers from that that city's general store with their lable and all still on it was found in my grandmother's yard 70 miles away in 1936. If a meat processing factory was hit that could explain a lot. Even the human flesh could have been from employees when the factory was hit. The sizes would be better explained by this as well given that some factories process meats for meat byproducts like sausages and the like, that requires the meat to be broken down into manageable sizes before grinding.
@@squeakymoma That's a solid point. I'm still stuck on the hour long part. Tornadoes don't usually stall. However they often only hit small areas. Interesting.
@@therightquestion2983 yeah the timing part would be an odd thing. You have to wonder if the times weren't obscured by individual perceptions though like any eyewitness accounts. The time it happened verse the time it was discovered by some might have caused the time differences. Could be that some time pieces were off then too. Watches back then kept time by the person winding the dial every day. If they weren't winding them at the same time every day the watch starts to slow until eventually it stops causing times to be off. Then there are the type of people who always want to be a part of something big but didn't actually witness it so they tell what they have heard and get their story parts all mixed up. It's certainly a mystery.
@@squeakymoma Lol. That's why I never wore a watch as a kid. I could never, ever remember to wind the thing. I actually knew 2 of the 4 girls from the Smurl family and what they endured was REAL! They were good God-fearing folk… They did not make any of it up.
They say that you're close to God the devil always keep coming after you. If you're not close to God he doesn't bother you because he already has you. Just saying.
why are they fearing god, I wonder?
Shannon LaCorte Why would any one feel the need to “fear” a God who loves all his children?
@@caralama08 exactly.. that phrase has always baffled me..
@@BekkiWorld Those who fear God, do not fear the Devil. Fear of God is like a child fearing a loving parent; it's not SCARED fear; it's SACRED fear. There's a life-altering difference!
This is the Slapped Ham content I subscribe for. The dime a dozen grainy and out of focus ghost videos and photos are getting pretty old. But there's never a shortage of historical mysteries.
The ghosts want to make the first people look crazy so they leave the next ones alone 👍
I will forever remember to steer clear of Clinton

You should do a video on the history behind the movie "The Entity" based on actual events. I think it's a late 70s early 80s movie.
I was a tour guide in Washington, DC, and also worked security at the National Archives. Cats were brought into the government buildings in the 1800s to catch and/or chase the mice and rats away. There is a story that one of the cats could not be found and that he still roams the halls of the capital. Interesting tale.
They made a movie about the Smurls and its on UA-cam its called "The Haunted" 1991 and its incredible.

And there's not many other scenarios that fit except for the processing plant.... seeing as that town was irritating enough not to have weather meat-cams 🤣.
