@@beutilisious There are indo fijians, Rotuman and theres the ITaukei as natives of fiji islands and they have their own beautiful languages and cultures. Cheers.
@@tommyx6553 just like some outer islands are Tongan. They pass themselves off as iTaukei Fijian but they're not. We're all Fijian though. The Republic of Fiji.
@@NasinuWarrior85 Ofcoz we are all Fijians as a whole. Citizenship but when comes down to ethnicity, culture and language, its different as one Ethnic group ain’t the same Representation to another. I'm very curious about the significance of the baby powder and perfume sprayed on everyone. Would someone please enlighten and enrich an inquisitive mind?! Thank you so very much in advance 😍😉
Fine mats known as taktakai and armea were everyday wear before the arrival of Europeans and adoption of European dress, the tofua worn in this video by the women is also precontect, was usually worn over an old taktakai or armea to kato'agas. An apei or large fine mat were sometimes worn at funerals by mourners

@Bill ray Rotuman culture is not Tongan or kaiviti. It's just Rotuman traditional dance in fiji. Fiji has indo fijians there as well, Itaukei etc with their own ethnicity and culture.
